What are your favorite fictional characters in all of media?

.. While I normally like listing off my favorite things... this list is actually gonna be kinda small for me personally.

This could maybe be attributed to the fact that hardly any one fictional character really connects with me, usually it is the combinations of characters within certain settings. That being said, here goes:

Ripred, The Underland Chronicles

... and then, uh...I'll probably just hafta go with like, Buzz Lightyear and Woody and Toy Story characters.

I know a ton of people here will be like, "too many to count".

Oh, and Midna from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

I hardly care about... like, Harry Potter characters, or Hunger Games characters. They just sort of exist and are pawns in a larger story. the characters from both those series I just mentioned.

oh yeah... maybe I like the major characters in my actual favorite movie of all-time, the movie called AKIRA. I like Kei, and Yamagata, and Kai, and even the Colonel.

I also just realized, I forgot to mention how excellently written most of the characters are in that one manga-about-the-manga-industry called Bakuman. I adored that manga, despite the fact that it is one of the only manga I've ever read and that I generally dislike manga and generally don't read manga.

Kaya Miyoshi is one of the best-written female characters I've ever known. I also like the two main characters, Moritaka "Saiko" Mashiro and Akito "Shujin" Takagi.

Yeah, I'm definitely one of those people who could easily just say "too many to count" and be done with it.

In interest of the exercise, I'll provide a long list of names of characters that I've really enjoyed. This list is not in order and mostly just listed off in the order they occur to me (just went ponies, anime, video games, other media) and it also probably doesn't include anywhere near all the characters I love, just the ones I happened to think about and enough for me to get to fifty. Most come from anime and video games, but only as film and literary characters don't often get me quite as enthused long term. Also, most of them are female for some reason.

I'm too sleepy to list anymore, but yeah, that's my current rotation, things may change according to what I shift my interests too. For some reasons though, most of my males are "tactically", or they seem to be, inclined characters (I.E Not sterotypical "screw logic, win anyways"). Also, for some reason, most of the girls I like edge between the two extremes of "cutesy/airheaded" to "ridiculously awesome/'Tsundere'(Although inaccurate as a assessment)"

Also, the reason why it's mostly anime, is because I've been binge watching multiple series over the span of 6-ish months. I've left out video game characters because it's been a while since I've played a game with named characters, so my memory runs thin. Mainstream fictonal literature tends to interest me less and less, though I will mention Artemis Fowl, Young Bond, Harry Potter, and surprise surprise, I actually liked the second Hunger Games book, Catching Fire (but not enough for me to invest into the entire series), as books I've actually like from the this century (I know Harry Potter was from the last, but I sorta count it as here and now, because most of the books were released as such)
