Of course if somepony were to post a bounty (non-pony-killing, Twiight would never take a pony's life except to protect her friends) and especially one with a high payoff, she and her court magician would jump at the chance.......... I actually had an idea for an RP involving celestia, but given Luna's special talent it might make it more interesting... (lets just say scootaloo has a less-than-honest encounter with A princess... and no doubt the princess will see right through it...) Though I'd have to figure out a new intro since the original involved the CMC coming up with said plan and right now I'm a couple filies short for that idea... I can add in Dash, Joe, Spitfire, Do, or any of my other characters if that help you think of some ideas Well, obvioust Twi and Dash could go off on an adventure, but right now Twi is very awkward around dash (well more awkward than usual ) because dash is rich and Twi is facing huge financial problems...Though whatever happens the group might stop in at Joe's and give a chance for some interesting dialogue... O_o it's canon. Dash lives in a huge mansion and is a professional racer even before she becomes an wonderbolt... everything in-series makes it clear she's loaded! As for " a professional racer even before she becomes an wonderbolt " - I don't recall them demonstrating her being a racer professionally...her current career up until recently is/was weather captain of Ponyville. it's fairly clear that sports and athletic events are more like a hobby she takes seriously, outside of her desire to be a part of the wonderbolts. The show certainly never 'declared' RD to be richer than any of the others at all. besides which, regardless of what canon might say, it's still Firefoxx's interpretation that matters here...and they may well not be running to the same perception you hold. Well, I suppose. Though it seems to me that the implication is dash and rarity are both rich (rarity has more proof though, she's designing for major celebreties) and perhaps I read too much into dash always talkinga bout the races she's going to be in, I was assuming they'd all be giving out cash (bits) prizes, which was never explicitly stated... The cannon is kept so crystal-cloudy about things like this that it's very hard to be sure what means what (I mean dash's home is even more extravogant than rarity's, I daresay it's more extravagant (though less practical) that Twilight's castle even!) but that might just have been intended as scenery porn and to make it clear dash has an extravogant ego... And I cant really say too much since I'm going the exact opposite direction with Twiley (She's a princess now, so celestia cut off her student pay, the library's gone so she's getting no pay there, because she's kind and doesnt want to be seen as a bit-pincher, she refuses to double-tax ponyvill, and likewise she's too soft and every time the town council/mayor/whoever says a public building/service is damaged, she pays to fix it... so... yeah... ever-mounting debt... (she's also not paid her guards in over a month and they're about to go on strike...) So... yeah... Alternate Character Interpretation I guess... I see no reason why how many bits a pony has would cause much of an issue to my version of RD. She would give students the specific resources they need while at school (i.e. places to live, food, and study materials as necessary), but not money itself. I'd always figured that ever since she got to Ponyville Twilight's income came from running the library.Which makes me think that maybe that's worth considering for thread ideas. Presumably Ponyville still needs a library, and has in the past been willing to manage it, perhaps there could be a thread about its rebuilding. I would even go so far as to say the thread is not enjoyable but is a chore to her based on the long delay (if she was really enjoying it like the rest of us, she'd be eager and checking it every chance she got, possible multiple times a day like I do) The less interest you show in something, the less you like it. This comes from the fanon, most 'fics and comics I've read have celestia giving twilight anywhere from ~$10/year to $50k per year (usually closer to the low-end of the scale) which twilight has to budget for both food and supplies. Some people say her "pay" for being the librarian is being allowed to live at the library, others say she's paid that in addition to celestia's studen funds (or instead of them) some have twilight's "total income" of like $15k/year be a combination of the two... but mostly I've seen it stated that celestia gives twilight a certain ammount of $$$ for being a student. Which woudl stop now that she's "graduated" Though again that's fanon... and again in either case Twilight has no income now, so *shrug* And wow, you should all be glad I dont play 'tia, my tia's budget is so tight that if somepony drops a single bit in a crack in the floor, then everything will be thrown off for weeks! (and she considers 10-bits-per-year to be an acceptable 'charitable donation' to the orphanage... who she taxes for far, far, far more... (kind in everything but money, absolute angel and yoda, but with bits, she's the pony version of Scrooge McDuck)) However I do like the idea of building a new library... or perhaps most of the books were just magically transported to the new royal library, which twilight will open to the public (and trixie will suggest twiley charge admission! lol) As I said, I had a plan that involved a kidna disshonest encounter between scoots and 'tia if your interested... though it might be very short since the first half was going to be CMC shenanigans leading upto it and the last half scoots and the princess(s)... However I do like the idea of building a new library... or perhaps most of the books were just magically transported to the new royal library, which twilight will open to the public (and trixie will suggest twiley charge admission! lol) Rainbow Rocks has already determined that the Library is now located at Twi's crystal castle...so that's kinda worth considering, especially since the writers say she DID experience both EQG's 'canonically'.
