every time I revisit this thread, I go over all of the big events and conversations I took part in. Every time I'm back, I'm like "holy shit; I was such a cringey douchebag. This time, I'll be really funny!" And every time, I proceed to make an even bigger tool of myself. Yet, as mortified by 80 percent of my content as I am, I'm also kind of really grateful to have had this, to grow up with, and act out and be a troll and still be met with relative understanding and acceptance. Sorry if and when I ever did go overboard and thank you for this thread and community for helping me when I was really alone in life!

Ohmygosh its nasty. And with good ol' Fawkes actually showing their slithery butt up in a record breaking THREE TIMES in a year, it almost like some kind of renaissance. This must have been what the Italians felt like when they invented painting and clocks.

We where all insecure cringe bags back then. I may not have understood it back then, as I barely understood myself. That much is obvious from the sheer amount of desperation for attention I (and everyone. Thats right chums i'm calling you all out) displayed. 
But I understand it now, this may have been a shock but I was also quite very alone around that time aswell! 
You made this place you're internet-home, as we all did. You don't need to apologies for being at home in your house. (I secretly thought you were a bit funny.)

The call-out is absolutely so correct. I very much needed attention, and also did not understand myself whatsoever (but thousands of dollars worth of therapy has helped immensely). 

I always thought you were hilarious too penumbra and I'm glad that my humor shone through the nastier bits. I'm sorry to hear, but also grateful to know, that you were in a similar boat of alone-ness. Glad we could be there for each other as best as we could with what we knew and what tools we had at our disposal :')

*it doesn't do anything because its just a top hat*

It's sort of just a really precious miracle this specific thread as been preserved for so long. I was rereading the other day and my heart was touched when I saw a post by rosewind like 'oh, it would be really nice if the original crew could post more often' and it was just so sweet! Especially given how big a thorn in everyone's side this thread once upon a time.has been (in a lot of cases unfairly; in my case, entirely fairly).

 

I hate to be so mushy and sentimental, but it speaks a lot to the value of kindness (with proper boundaries). Nobody had to be understanding to a fifteen-year-old edgy troll lashing out for attention and notoriety, but people did. And lo and behold, after over a decade and tonnes of therapy and eventually-learning to make good life decisions, I am finally on the right path (I think!) 

 

In fact... *Cough cough*.... I think I'm ready to admit something I haven't been honest with anyone about. *Cold sweat emerges on forehead; a choking, pungent steam of fear vents from my chest*

I mean, my genuine interest did fall off after season 2 anyway cause I just spent too much time on other things, but, I figure I owe it to everyone to acknowledge this in the spirit of healing and growth. Oh my mistake. It seems I got *cringe* and *based* mixed up again. The patchwork, cheese string monster is actually cool and the hat is really doing it for me. Its like condensed 2010 internet culture.
