Because most of them less themselves over their voices when doing LPs? A lot of them are. Markiplar and PewPewDie might be a special case since they both made their living doing face cam horror game stuff. But at least for PewPiePie, there's tons of adolescent girls who think he's super attractive. And even some not so adolescent ones. I saw them, met them, talked to them before.

I think the voice is very very important when it comes to video stuffs, faces be damned. Markiplier has a naturally sexy and smooth voice that he's good at manipulating to convey his emotions when gaming.
