Apologies do not change the fact that he ban-dodged, which is explicitly against the rules. None of his behavior will give any of us on staff any reason to change our stance on this matter.

I'm not saying they won't change back. Comics change all the time. I'm saying let's not be downers. There's no reason to focus on the fact that it'll change back later. Instead, let's focus on the fact that this is a pretty awesome change and it could be a really awesome run for the characters involved in the change, however temporary.

They didn't make HALF as big a deal of it as they're doing now. Marvel is pushing hard on diversifying their cast. I say we stop bagging on them for changing things without sticking to them in the past, and let it happen, yeah? If it's successful in widening their comic book audiences, Marvel's comics division is HIGHLY unlikely to change it back anytime soon.

Comics-verse and Movie-verse have no obligation to be the same. In fact they really can't be the same because Marvel doesn't own the live action rights for some of the characters they usually include in the Avengers in comics-verse soooo... there's no reason to think that Thor will suddenly go back to being male when Age of Ultron hits theaters.

Or we could go ahead and wait and see what Marvel does with it and stop being a party-pooper. :I

Marvel is actually trying really hard to draw in female readers, and this is part of that. If it does well, it's entirely likely that it' going to last for a long while.

I'm not feeling much in my stomach (except when i have no food in my stomach and we're flying up and down the hills and turns here at 40 miles an hour because hello i'm from kansas we don't have hills and our streets are laid out in grids not turns and we drive at a reasonable 30 miles an hour), but I do feel like this is all still a dream and I'm going to wake up at my grandma's house alone any second now.
