  1. Aw, River, you need a pony. Somebody get this man a pony! Flutterscotch, sounds like you wadded through it a little bit longer then I did. I fell away around 2005, I got bored with how one-sided a lot of collectors are. (Funny thing, I re-joined the collector forums several weeks ago so I could stay on top of some of the new toys, and got one of my posts removed for saying "Ponychan" in it. XD ) Never sold off my collection though, of course, it's small enough it all fits into a single Rubbermaid tub. You do letterpress? Letterpress is awesome. I prefer screen-printing though (mostly because I can screen-print in my garage without fancy equipment).
  2. Barbie is made by Mattel. Mattel makes a wide range of toys in the same manner Hasbro does. Toy companies do not react well to competition. So much so that Mattel tried to change Barbie's image in order to compete. When that didn't work, they tried to sue MGA in order to steal the rights to the Bratz dolls. If those godawful whore-horses gain the same sort of popularity that Bratz did, I could see Hasbro taking the same sort of action.
  3. I don't know! Probably for the same unfathomable reason Barbie had to compete with Bratz. God help me to never have a child so retarded they want hooker toys.
  4. Proof fan-fiction can be published if written well? XD I read the description. I was like "This sound's silly why would I want to read-- . . .Kool-Aid Man filled with blood. . . KOOL-AID MAN FILLED WITH BLOOD It might not be so bad after all."
  5. Oh neat! That will be great! I can't wait to see what applejack ends up looking like! Gonna throw this out there for anyone wanting to start a custom soon. Restoredoll.com has their merch on sale 30% off until May 22. Good time to stock up on some nylon hair! http://stores.restoredoll.com/-strse-Do ... gories.bok
  6. Wooooww . . . I believe this will end all complaints that the G2 line of MLPs are "anorexic." Those things are absolutely appalling. How is that horse wearing high heels?? HOW? Also, I wasn't aware MLP was only for ages 0-5. I was playing with my ponies until I was 12. Also, Also, If I had a child that asked me to buy one of those, I would slap them. Then, I would buy one, not let them touch it, set it on fire and force them to watch it burn. I worry now what Hasbro might do their ponies in order to compete.
  7. Fizzy had been looking at the colt standing behind the counter when she had entered the store and startled slightly when the door to the back swung open revealing a rainbow-maned and up-side-down pegasus clinging to the ceiling. "Hellooooooooooooooooooooo! Welcome to our brand-sparkly-new candy shop!" Other ponies may have been put-off by the exuberant and absolutely absurd way she had just been greeted, but it didn't seem to phase Fizzy at all. Walking a few more paces to the center of the room, she turned her head and twisted her body an an angle to give herself the best right-side-up view of the pony as she could. The whole conversation probably looked ridiculous. "Wowee! A brand new candy shop? Is this your grand opening?" She clopped her hooves on the tile in excitement. No wonder she could smell the scent of fresh paint mixing with the aroma of sugar and chocolate. Twisting herself back into normal position, she took to wandering over to the glass cases and peering inside. Everything looked to good! "This sure is great!" She chimed. "My new favorite shop. 'Corse. It's the only shop I've been into so far." She glanced up, grinning. "I'm new in town. My Name is Fizzy!"
  8. Today was going to be a great day! Fizzy hummed cheerfully to her self as she trotted with her face toward the sun, and only half looking where she was going. Her saddle bags thumped rhythmically against her sides and every now and then she'd make a few bubbles and watch them as the floated lazily away on the breeze. Just an absolute perfect day! This town is terrific! Fizzy thought to her self as she wandered through town aimlessly. Of course, she'd thought that about every location she had passed through since leaving home. Especially the knoll out on the far edges of town last night. It had been clear and warm and the stars and were exceptionally bright! So she had decided to sleep out in the open rather then finding an inn at such a late hour. She liked the stars. 'Corse, she liked the sun too. . . Gosh. The sky is sure blue today. *Thump* Fizzy had been so busy taking in her surroundings that she had bumped right into a pole with a sign on it. She shook her head to clear her thoughts and stared up the sign. It read: "The Chocolate Moose. Candies and Confectioneries." "Ooooooh! A candy shop!" Fizzy loved candy shops! They were always so bright and shiny, with all their colors and cute little candies sitting in bins! She bounced over to the window and pressed her face right up against the glass to get a good look inside. The lights were on, but there was nopony around. She smooshed her head closer, her horn taping the glass to get deeper look. It must be closed. She thought to her self and stepped back away from the window. Shame. It would have been fun to look around. Fizzy plopped her self on the ground under the window seal and looked around at the immediate area surrounding the store. "Now What?" She supposed she should find an Inn to stay at until she could get a job, but she was also hungry. Maybe she should find a place to eat lunch. Just then she heard the sound of a door jingle and some rustling coming behind from another window. There was a sign in that window. She hadn't noticed it before. Fizzy watched as somepony inside switched the sign over from 'Closed' to 'Open.' Oh! The store's open! She waited a minute and pushed the door open to the candy shop. "Hello." She called in a sing-song voice as she stepped inside. "You're open?"
  9. Name: Fizzy Gender: Female Age: Young Mare Species: Unicorn Pelt Color: Turquoise/Aqua Mane Color & Style: Pink, white and dark turquoise streaks. It's thick, slightly curly and cut so it's choppy and feathered. She likes wearing cute accessories and her mane always seems to have a different assortment of barrettes and bows clipped in it. Tail Color & Style: Pink, white and dark turquoise streaks. Very thick and poofy, slightly curly and choppy. Eye Color: Magenta Cutie Mark: Three pink w/white ice cream sodas. Physique: Bordering on petite, but pretty much average height, weight and build for a female pony. She's got nice toned legs from tromping all over the place. She's cute, in a rough, sweet/dolly kind of way. Residence: Fizzy grew up at a small hot-springs resort (owned by her parents) that is located up a canyon between Trottingham and Canterlot. She's now set her sights on Ponyville, she's heard the ponies there are more down to earth and friendly than the ones she's used to dealing with. Occupation: No current occupation, but she's hoping to get a job somewhere fun so she can gain some experience in the business world. One day, she hopes to have her brand of soda! Motivation: Bubbles! Sparkly, and fun! The little ones make your tongue tingle you know. And golly, don't you just love how the big ones catch the light? Inspired by a soda spring she found in her youth, Fizzy's special talent involves the creation of bubbles. After discovering her sodas would go flat, she worked hard to learn how to make her own bubbles. Once she got it right, her cutie mark appeared. Three ice-cream sodas represent her sweet personality and her bubblicious talent. Likes: Sweets, Sodas (And any other cold, "fizzy" drinks!), Junkfood, "Cute Stuff," Sparkles, Accessories, Sunny Days, Good Humor, Hard rock music, Camping, Hiking, Gallivanting, Adventure, Dancing, Bubbles, Swimming, "Good Times," and Parties. Dislikes: Brocolii, Monotony, "Gloomy Days," Rude/Mean ponies, Snobs, Waiting in Lines, Bullies, Arguments, Strong Winds, and Overly Sour/Bitter Foods. Character Summary: Fizzy grew up helping her family run their hot springs resort. As such she has always been familiar with mineral and spring waters. On the resort's down-season, she often didn't have anypony to play with (Outside of school, Fizzy never had regular friends, but instead made new ones each time guests with foals would arrive) so she would take hikes through the mountains near their home. One day, she discovered a small stream and decided to follow it. At the top, was a small, deep pool of, clear, carbonated water. She had discovered a rare, soda spring! (Much like this one.) Amazed by the special spring, she cleaned it up and would try to carry water back home to "experiment" with. She would mix flavors and fruit juices with the carbonated water to create her own home-made soda! Unfortunately, being young, she never sealed her bottles properly and her drinks would go flat. The spring was very far away, and it was too much trouble to go hiking there every day. Frustrated, Fizzy began trying to use her magic to "re-bubble" her drinks. It took a very long time with much practice and learning from her mistakes before she got it right, but when she did her cutie mark appeared! Fizzy grew up an only foal, which was hard, because she never had anypony to relate too. Sure, she had classmates at school but most of them were from Trottingham. While they were nice to her, (She always enjoyed their after-school shopping trips) it seemed that they never related to each other deep down. Her classroom friends were just from another social class. Being young, it never bothered her and she got along well with everypony. When not at school, she made the best of it with the tourists that came to her parent's resort. However; as she got older she became more restless. Fizzy became aware of just how boring and stuck up most of the local residents really were. When school ended, she became bound and determined to set out and find someplace less boring to live. She found that among the tourists to her family's resort, the ponies from Ponyville seemed to be some of the friendliest. After chatting with many of them, she decided she'd very much like to visit that town one day. Fizzy has "bubbly" personality and is outgoing and caring towards others. Although she doesn't look it, she's willing to get into a scrap to protect her friends. She's smart and capable, but can be quite an airhead at times. This means, that while she's quite adept at being responsible, she can often be forgetful. That can sometimes lead her into trouble.
  10. I moved it. I just forgot to write an approval stamp.
  11. Looking much better! Just remember to update your picture so people aren't confused.
  12. Even if you made her before you saw Call of The Cutie, the fact remains that she is fairly similar. Hmm. . . I think I could forgive the creme pelt and the candycane cutie mark, it's the origin story that's the kicker. Particularly the part about making peppermint candies for her friends and school mates (Which is exactly what Twist did). I do like that she enjoys babysitting. I think the best course of action to get her approved would be to: A: Re-work her to focus more on the baby sitting side. Give her a cutie mark that reflects that. B: Keep the candy making, but take her as far away as Twist as you can. Change her background story. (Do her parents have to be candy makers? People might wonder where their candy shop is in terms of RP and it might seem less close to Twist if they're not. Maybe she loved watching candy makers through shop windows. Totally change up her cutie mark story. There has to be another way other than giving out candy to her friends.) . . . and change her cutie mark? What about candy buttons, candy toys(This would work great since she likes to babysit), hard candies, candy ribbons, orlicorice?
  13. I'm a little confused by this. His adopted son is a Pegasus right? The kid grew up and never thought "Why is daddy a different species?"?
  14. XD Pretty sure it was MIB. Though, I believe she is the most expensive of all the friends.
  15. Huh. The waterfalls from Canterlot must pool and meet up with that river running through the valley. . . which runs right through Ponyville. I also never realized how close Sweet Apple Acres was to Ponyville. I knew it was close. . . but the edge of the property with the farmhouse just butts right up against the town doesn't it? I also saw on the other thread there was talks of where Manehatten was located. Ponyville would be east of Manehatten, and there appears to be at least a mountain range between them. (Some mountains disappear when the rainbow shows up, but I think they did that so little kids understand that the rainbow is headed toward town an not arbitrarily over the mountains)
  16. Last time I saw a Cutiesaurus for sale, she was going for around 200 bucks. Of course that may have been MIB. I can't remember. XD
  17. Oooh. Dash looks so much better now that her hair has been flattened.
  18. Glad to see you made it over. Welcome to the forum.
  19. I have procured the photo of which you speak! I think Twilight's parent's were selected at random. It would have been a perfect opportunity to do a throwback to one of the older gen ponies, but I can't think of any white unicorns with only stars for symbols.
  20. Rock Farming aaaannnd "Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns" Had me cracking up. XD
  21. Added more hair-styling links, sculpy, body paint, and soda-bottle wings.
  22. Yeah, there's no Fluttershy for some reason. The only way to get her is through the German Blind Bags, and even then, all she is is a re-colored Rainbow Dash.
  23. Hmm, while it fits in with the story you're trying to tell under the character summery, it might be a little clearer something about it was was also mentioned under the motivation.
  24. He sounds cute. Comic books should be fine. You will need to expand on his motivation a little more. What motivates the way he behaves? This is also where usually where you put how the pony got their cutie mark, what it represents, etc.
