  1. Trixie wasn't much for tea, honestly she'd much rather have a nice smoothie right now, but she didn't want to be rude given that Sunburst was talking time to look over her collection of Artifacts "Thank you, I appreciate the offer" she said, doing the same as Sunset and taking a cup and filling it with tea... resisting the urge to transfigure it into a smoothie... at least not while either of them were looking, maybe if they got distracted enough she'd give in to her desire, after all she was still more than a little excited about having learned an advanced spell like that and deep down it thrilled her just a tiny bit every time she used it! "Yeah, like sunset said, they kinda work, the less powerful ones seem to work great, but the stronger ones fizzle out quickly" after a moment of hesitation she set her tea down and pulled out the deck of cards "these are another supposed artifact, though they're probably a fake, but they have one thing in common with the rest" she opened the box (Which bore Starswirl's cutiemark on its top; though to an expert like Sunburst it was clearly a fake --- a well-forged fake, but a fake none the less) and drew out a card at random, the Ace of Hearts, which made an audible lub-dub sound like a real heart. Trixie threw it at the edge of the box gently, making sure it wouldn't damage the contents deeper in the box, and it flew perfectly --- too perfectly even for a trained stage magician like Trixie. She then carefully used her magic to light it on fire, making sure not to damage the box or its contents. Just like before when she demonstrated them to Sunset, the card burned up and the smoke floated back into the card's Box, reforming into the ace of hearts, lieing neatly on top of the others. "The artifacts cant be destroyed, more than once I accidentally damaged one and it just reformed" she explained "As for the broken ones..." she reached in with her magic and once again grabbed with 'wing earrings' and slid them into her ears. Lifting her cape so sunburst could see the pegasus wings she had acquired from the jewelry, with great effort, she made them extend and flap around a little, which intermittently caused small gusts of wind from them "But if I try to fly with them, after a few seconds they just... well... stop working... and I fall" Trixie clearly had not noticed that even just moving them around, the wind they generated wasn't consistent, she then removed the earrings, making the wings vanish, and returned the jewelry to its proper case. As with many of the supposed Starswirl artifacts, their case bore what appeared to be the ancient mage's cutiemark on top.
  2. Dash nodded and opened her mouth to respond when the longma whispered in her ear. Dash's expression quickly turned hard as she turned her head "Scootalo! Are you trying to pick that lock again!" Scootaloo indeed had a lockpick in her muzzle, which was cntorted at a strange angle, manipulating the pick with her hooves. she had a guilty look on her face, caught int he act and said "...No..." Dash's hoof went to her face "If I'd known I couldn't trust you I wouldn't have brought you!" her eyes filled with a silent rage Scootaloo spat the lockpick back into her bag "Well if I'd known you were going to keep me on a LEASH like a DOG I wouldn't have asked to come!" "Well if You'd just....!" At this point most of the casino was looking at the pair as their argument got louder and louder... this drew the attention of two other ponies, the wonderbolt who had been doing card tricks, and a yellow pegasus mare in a military uniform. The male wonderbolt waved down the mare in the uniform, no doubt their commanding officer, clearly saying he'd handle this. "Rainbow Dash!" he exclaimed, cutting her off from her rant "Calm down, your making a scene" Dash and scootaloo both suddenly went silent and looked around, realizing they had been almost shouting at this point. The male wonderbolt sighed "I tell ya what, Dash, I'm kinda tired of all the attention, I was thinking of checking out the magic show, maybe your sis would like to see that?" Scootaloo grinned, nodded "I'd love to!" The male 'bolt nodded to dash "why dont I look after the kid for a while, let you two have some space, after the show maybe you can do something together you'd both enjoy..." Dash sighed, realizing she'd let things get out of control, pulling out the other end of the magic leash "no need for that" said the male as with one tap on the collar in the right place and it fell right of scootaloo's neck, he turned to dash and smirked, picking up the collar and handing it to the mare "I trust her enough not to use that" Dash put the collar into her bags but frowned "your gonna regret that, Streak" the male, Streak smiled "Hey, they dont call me 'Trick Lightning' for nothin' you should have expected it" "what? No, not that, I mean trusting her to run around loose" said Dash "you dont know the trouble she and her friends used to get into" Lightning Streak smiled "oh I bet I can imagine, and maybe she and I can get into some fun trouble ourselves" he winked at scootaloo Dash's hoof went to her face "Catch ya later, Crash" said Streak as he motioned for scootaloo to follow him Scoots playfully stuck her tongue out at dash as she passed, the pair heading off down one of the hallways, presumably to the aforementioned magic show Dash finally turned back to the longma "Sorry you had to see that, Scootaloo and I've had some... disagreements... ever since we got here this morning, thanks for the heads up" she explained "Name's Rainbow Dash, but you probably already know that" she smiled, showing that even with the mild bruising, her Ego was still going strong. "And yeah, we're going to be doing a show tomorrow, the casino owner made some deal with Spitfire - our lead - and we're going to be spending the weekend here. Come by the stage entrance to the arena tomorrow and I'll see about getting you a free seat for the show" she smiled, clearly grateful for the intervention before scootaloo had escaped on her own. Indeed, the mare's plan had worked, the archaeologist had indeed noticed her now, though he had an almost vindictive smirk on his face. No doubt he was glad to see that somepony had gotten Dash into trouble. He was now watching for an opening to speak with one of them... though it wasn't clear whether he was planning on talking to the longma or planning to chastise Rainbow for her actions... The griffon at the bar had also taken notice of the scene, though she seemed far less interested in getting involved, eventually just turning back to the bar and taking a pull on her drink. ((and again... running out of color options so... meh...))
  3. The alicon looked excited when Rex offered a demonstration, then when he did, her wing went to her face out of exasperation... and embarrassment... oh she was glad a certain one of her friends wasn't there... in her mind she could clearly hear Dash's voice laughing at her saying 'Oh he got you good!' She sighed, lowering her wing and taking a deep breath "I deserved that..." she said "always getting too wrapped up in research and possible new discoveries that I often completely miss the little things in life" she admitted, returning the parchment, quill and ink to her saddlebags "Sorry I got carried away and harassed you so much" It was at this time that there was a green flash above the cloaked pony and a dozen sheets of neatly-bound parchment fell on her head... followed by two bottles of ink (which she thankfully caught in her horn's glow before they hit the floor and broke) as well as several extra quills. She let out an awkward laugh "I guess I wont be needing these after all... I better just send them back with a note" she explained as she scribbled something on the top of the parchment, and in a similar green flash all the instruments of research documentation vanished "I'd like to make it up to you, how about since we're already here how about we get some icecream, my treat" she offered
  4. She would quickly realize that the earth pony indeed seemed to be the real deal, the words he used and the things he talked about made it clear he was well educated in archaeology, and no doubt in adventuring too. Right now he seemed to be looking for clues on an ancient relic that was rumored to have the power to force others to tell only the truth... though he dismissed the claims of it being guarded by a supernatural entity that watched over a large number of relics. Meanwhile the pair of pegasai seemed to be in a small argument. After most of the first crowd of fans had dispersed, the small one approached the rainbow maned one "Ok, you've done your fan service now, can we please check out some of the games?" The wonderbolt sighed, pulling back her hood and sliding her goggles up atop her head "What did I tell you about that? your dad would sick a cragodile on me if I let you gamble... at least if you lost... if you won he might only sick a landray on me" the filly rolled her eyes "you know landrays aren't real, right?" The other pony sighed "you know what I mean, scootaloo, your too young to gamble, even if the casino would let you" The filly, Scootaloo, frowned "Well can we at least check out the other games? I saw skeeball and a claw machine through one of the doors, they probably have other cool stuff too!" the mare sighed "let me get a few more autographs done, then we'll see. I have to be sure to keep the owner happy or he might kick us out" Scootaloo rolled her eyes "really? if he did you know spitfire would make him curl into a ball and cry" she smirked The wonderbolt laughed "She'd do that just for fun!" The filly smiled "Thanks for Bringing me along, Dash, its fun, but the collar is kinda itchy..." The mare, Dash, sighed "its either that or a literal leash, and hey I got you one that looks cool and tough!" Scootaloo sighed, realizing her attempts to get dash to take the collar off weren't going to work, and she couldn't see it to try and fiddle with the combination lock to get it off herself... And at the bar there were some cheers, then the group started wandering off, apparently the griffon had finished her story, and she watched each of them as they left, her gaze following each one, but once they all left the vicinity she sighed and turned back to the barkeep "Another round" she said, putting her glass down with a loud thud. ((and yes, I usually use blue for Harle since that's her feather color, but I wanted to make sure she and Dash's speech weren't confused, so I went with red since her captains coat is red...))
  5. ((Well, I had too many ideas, so you get a 'choose your own adventure!' style post! )) (Rainbow Dash) The casino-hotel was quite the spectacle indeed, and as one might expect it was absolutely bustling with activity. Though what might first catch the eyes of any entering was a rainbow-mane'd pony in a wonderbolt's flight-suit leaping into the air, doing a few small tricks and landing, a small crowd gathered around her. Around her neck was a lanyard that said "WonderBolt - VIP" though the lack of a name meant this was probably a promotion for all the wonderbolts --- no doubt to draw in business. (Scootaloo) Nearby the rainbow pony was a small orange filly with magenta mane and tail, who was looking around with a combination of intrigue and annoyance. She was wearing a small set of saddlebags and... was that a spiked collar? it certainly looked like one. It was a little strange, but its purpose became obvious when something caught her eye and she hurried off, though at about 30 feet from the rainbow mare, the filly seemed to have been clothesline'd, flipping into her back like a dog who had run out to the end of its leash... yes, the collar apparently had a magical tie to something the other pony was holding... it really was a dog collar... (Lightning Streak) Not too far away was another pony in a wonderbolts flightsuit, also wearing the VIP lanyard, but this one was showing off with what appeared to be small magic tricks or minor feats of skill using cards, coins, rings, and other small items. Whether he was trying to entertain the foals specifically or not wasn't clear since he did keep glancing at the mares and smiling playfully. (Dunes) One figure was out of place among all this though, ht was an earth pony with a battered fedora who was moving about the room, talking to any guest who looked wealthy or well-educated. As he passed by words like 'temple' and 'treasure' and 'traps' could be heard in his speech... he was probably some real-life version of the famed Daring Do, and he was looking for leads on some archaeological place of significance nearby... (Sky Pirate Harle Blackclaw) And finally, sitting at the bar was a Griffon with blue tinged feathers, while this wasn't too surprising, the large rod coat with the gold trim made her stand out among the patrons, her exaggerated motions and her occasional loud tone and laughter made it clear she had been there a while and probably had her fair share of booze, though whatever she was talking about seemed exciting enough to be drawing several others to listen in.
  6. "RightRightSlowGotit" commented the alicorn without ever actually processing what was said as she jotted down the Avian's answers, her eyes still sparkling "Mimicry?Soyoucanlearnmagicjustbyseeingitdone?howcomplexofaspellcanyoumanage?Teleposition?Transmogrification?Isitonespellatatimeorcanyouremembermultiple?Canyouuseotherschoolsofmagictoo?Aeromancy?Herbomancy?Necromancy?Hydromancy?Areyouaprodigyamongyourraceorcanallofyourcreaturesdothis?" her grin was painfully wide as she was filling up the page "Spike! More ink and parchment!" she called out, completely forgetting where she was and the fact the dragon wasn't there, after not hearing a response she looked around "Spike!" she then seemed to take note of her surroundings "oh, right, I forgot" she laughed a little unhinged as her horn glowed and in another flash her disoriented assistant was standing nearby "Spike! more ink and parchment!" she exclaimed, not even waiting for his response as her horn glowed and she teleported him back, hopefully sending him to the right place... OOC translation: "Right Right Slow Got it" commented the unicorn without ever actually processing what was said as she jotted down the Avian's answers, her eyes still sparkling "Mimicry? So you can learn magic just by seeing it done? how complex of a spell can you manage? Teleposition? Transmogrification? Is it one spell at a time or can you remember multiple? Can you use other schools of magic too? Aeromancy? Herbomancy? Necromancy? Hydromancy? Are you a prodigy among your race or can all of your creatures do this?"
  7. ((the irony is I'd actually be a little curious about the use of magic runes in the world of equestria, given how rarely we've seen actual magic circles)) Trixie rolled her eyes at sunset's antics, foalish, flirty, undignified... Trixie only acted like that on stage! ...or well if the situation called for it... or she just felt like it... none the less she smiled at the vice-headmare as she set the box down on the floor near the desk "The Great and Powerful Trixie has traveled all across equestria, searching for mysterious artifacts and ensuring they did not fall into the wrong hooves!" she said dramatically, a few tiny magical sparks going off around her to accentuate her entrance. "Actually, I bought all this stuff because it was supposed to be valuable, powerful, and/or made by Starswirl the Bearded" she admitted "But I think they're so old that the magic's fading, they only... kidna work..." she explained "except for this thing" she levitated the glowing sphere "I have no clue what it does" she floated it back down into the box "Sunset reminded me of your interest in artifacts while I was cleaning out my wagon -getting ready for the next show tour- and found these again. We thought you might be able to shine some light on them" she didn't bother to mention that even before sunset pointed out the unlikelihood of them all being real, that she already thought that at least a couple were fakes... would be fun to see if Sunburst could figure that out... ((you can decide how many of them are "real" "faded magic" "fake" etc. the only one that is supposed to be genuine is the glowing sphere - it's a mana battery (with many, many, MANY years of mana in it --- though useless if nobody can figure out how to use it ))
  8. The purple cloaked pony was about to respond when she heard the sound of a teleport and turned to see an Avian walk in. Her eyes seemed to sparkle as with the subtlety of a magical chainsaw wielded by Tirek, she teleported over, almost letting out a squee "Didyoujustteleport?Icantbeleiveit,I'veneverseenacreatureteleportexceptaunicorn!Wheredidyoulearntodoit?whendidyoufirstdoit?doyouknowhowyoudidit?" as she spoke a quill and parchment floated out from under her cloak, presumably from inside some concealed saddlebags, but one never knew "Pleasetellmeallaboutyourself!Whatsyourname?howoldareyou?whereareyoufrom?whatsyourastrologicalsign?howlonghaveyoulivedand/orvisitedhere?" all the while teleport spamming around the bird-creature, the rapid-fire barely understandable onslaught of questions betraying not only the pony's excitement, but also no doubt her identity..... OOC Translation: Did you just teleport? I cant believe it, I've never seen a creature teleport except a unicorn! Where did you learn to do it? when did you first do it? do you know how you did it? Please tell me all about yourself! Whats your name? how old are you? where are you from? whats your astrological sign? how long have you lived and/or visited here?
  9. ((sorry, I would have sworn i replied to this already >.<)) "Well, The Great and Powerful Trixie is always one to please" she smiled "Though walking through town and the school with a box like this might gather unwanted attention.." she paused and walked over to another box and pulled out a marker, altering the box of magical fakes to say 'NOT Artifacts' she smiled "There we go, that should solve the problem" she said proudly. Of course this being Trixie it was up for debate whether she really though this would solve the problem or if she was trying to make a joke of it... sadly it was probably the former... she grabbed the box in her horn's glow, taking care to levitate the playing cards out of the box and into her saddlebags first. "Lets go" ((So should one of us NPC Sunburst, or should we pester request foxxy to join us?))
  10. If Ice were listening carefully she might hear the unique 'explosion' sound of a magical teleport somewhere up the road, around the bend. After a moment a curious sight would greet the mare's eyes - a pony wearing a purple hooded cape was walking down the street, she (for at her size it had to be a mare) was looking all around as if a tourist, but at certain points her gaze stopped and became more analytical, perhaps she wasn't a tourist after all. As the pony saw Ice, she paused, perhaps smiling "Nice day, isn't it?" she asked "Always good to see ponies enjoying it, even if you have to sneak away for just a moment here or there to do so" she giggled, "I've not seen you for quite some time, How have things been?" The voice would no doubt seem atleast slightly familiar to Ice, though whether she would recognize it or not would be seen.
  11. Dash laughed as she rolled around thunder "I'm not just quick, I'm agile, try to remember ALL the awesome i have!" she laughed again, just ribbing him "But hey, Fly safe, come back soon, and stay awesome!" she waved as she banked off heading back towards ponyville and the school, looking forward to the day she would see him... or her... or.... well the day she would see Thunder again!
  12. ((fair enough I guess...)) "Yeah come back soon, I'm impressed you managed to get through to scoots like that... I kinda... I guess her problem was a little too close to home for me" admitted dash "I cant say I've never had the same thoughts - sometimes it takes sompony else to see the answer" as they glided closer towards the edge Dash couldn't resist one more gentle ribbing "but work on your speed till then, I want another race where I dont just wreck you with my speed" the teased
  13. ((...thunder really didn't see the warning signs that scootaloo just grabbed the Idiot Ball and ran with it? Of course he wont be around to see the outcome (that will be in another thread) but, yeah, scoots just had a crazy idea that's going to cause trouble later...)) Dash looked surprised, then relieved, smiling "Thanks thunder, who knows maybe scoots will now feel like she has two 'awesome' ponies in her life" she laughed "Sorry, I have to coach cheer squad this afternoon, but I'll fly you to the edge of town and see you off" she aid, flapping her wings and rising into the air "no race this time" she added with a joking smirk
  14. As he spoke, you could see in scootaloo's eyes that her mental gears were turning, he had just given her the last nugget she needed for some hare-brained scheme to finally hatch... it was both adorable and terrifying, after just a moment she said "Thanks for the talk, I'm gonna go see if my friends are busy, great meeting you thunder, I'll talk to you later" and with that she went galloping off... a few minutes later Rainbow was out there next to him "I saw her run... I take it things didn't go well with you either?"
  15. "I dont think adventures like to be scheduled..." frowned scootaloo, not understanding how adult's vacations worked and assumed that like her vacations form school it was specific days each year "and the afternoon thing is not my ideal, I'd like to go on a huge adventure that took weeks, just that an afternoon is usually all I have" she commented
  16. Scootaloo smiled a little "I never thought about it like that... I'd still like to go on a big adventure that I'll be able to tell everypony about, maybe even one day telling my own foals about it... but I guess maybe your right, sometimes small changes make more of a difference than big ones" she though sighed again "but even so we're already too busy to go on an adventure even if it happened... between school and helping creatures find their place in the world, and tutoring students at the friendship school... and from what I heard starlight say, when my friends and I get older we'll probably be promoted from tutors to full-on Teachers there... no adventure worth its time can be had in one afternoon..." while it seemed that Thunder had gotten through to her about making a difference, the filly still longed for adventure... and considering her family, it wasn't hard to see why, it was in her blood to seek out danger and adventure.
  17. Eh why not, I'll bite... Even though every. single. thread that Harle has been in has failed, maybe this will change things... Sky Pirate Harle's Ship: Name: Wings of Adventure Type: Airship Crew: 10-20 (can hold 30 if needed) + Captain & 1 guest + up to 3 prisoners in 1 jail cage (Crew consists of a random mixture of creatures, from Ponies to zebra to Diamond dogs to Griffons to Kirin... even a dragon once! Equal Opportunity!) Gundecks: 1 (with one cannon on each side reserved for firing massive smokebombs to cover their escape) Cannons: 6 per side Decks: 4 (Main deck, Crew quarters, kitchens/workshop/armory, Storage/supplies) Size: Not small but not huge, probably a 3/6 or a 4/6 Misc Info: -Crew all share one deck, sleeping in hammocks with a small trunk bolted to the floor under the hammock for their personal possessions. At the bow of the ship on this level is a small stage where every night Harle humiliates her crew for an hour every night by singling them out to perform whatever they want from singing to standup to magic (and she takes her own turn too - its less about "tormenting" them as it is letting them all relax and blow off steam) -Officially the ship and its crew/captain have been cited in dozens of crimes ranging from harassment to arson to murder, though with enough digging most of the crimes turn out to be false (except for the arson, which was due to drunken shenanigans burning down a tavern --- nocreature was harmed in the fire though) Notable Crew: Harle Blackclaw (Captain)
  18. Dash watched the two go and sighed, she came in here wanting to eat her whole meal with two burgers and now she didn't even want desert... she felt like a real heal with her "pep talk" having the opposite effect, gently tapping her head against the table "some 'most awesome sister' I am..." she muttered ----- Scootaloo looked back as she heard hoofsteps, not speaking until thunder finished, she finally spoke "yeah, I guess... my friends and I have helped a lot of ponies, and even other creatures find their place... but how does that compare to saving the world? and as good as it feels to help sompony, thats nothing like kicking an elder-dragon in the nose or flying to unknown lands or tracking down an ancient treasure in a lost temple with Daring do... yeah I guess I'm helping but its not the same... and with everything going on I feel like I'll never get to go on a real adventure... sneaking off to the county fair with my friends is as close as I've come to a real adventure... I kidna exaggerated before... our looking for lost treasure was following a fake map to some junk that an adult had hidden there and pretended it was a real lost treasure, and climbing mountains was just taking a steep trail on a nature hike..." she sighed hard "and fighting wild dragons was just teasing Spike... Twilight's baby dragon assistant who's even smaller than us..." she looked down at the ground, gently pawing at it with her hoof, showing how embarrassed and disheartened she was admitting the truth about her and her friends 'adventures'
  19. Dash looked over at scootaloo and opened her mouth... but closed it again. For once her quick wit failed her. She knew this wasn't something that a snarky comment or a silly quip could resolve. In fact, it felt almost like looking in a mirror... it wasn't something she really liked to think about but she knew exactly how it felt because her once action-packed life of adventure had been slowly getting more and more mundane. Sure, she was still pretty happy with it - nobody would call flying with the wolderbolts anything short of exciting, or teaching students was indeed fulfilling... but it wasn't adventure, it wasn't the unknowable kind of excitement where around every corner law something completely unexpected... discounting some of her students questions, but that was far from an adventure. Deep down, some part of her too long for that, but despite what everyone liked to say about her, she had grown and matured and could appreciate life as it was... After a long moment Dash finally spoke "look, scootaloo, I know how you feel, but you need to remember that adventure isn't always a good thing, its dangerous and sometimes ends badly for everyone involved. Be glad you dont have to face monsters every day and question if you'll ever see your friends or family again" Scootaloo sighed "Who says I dont?" she asked "I'm lucky if I see my parents a couple times a year, and as awesome as my dad is with handling dangerous animals, I know there's always a chance he'll find one that he cant handle, or my mom will ends up with some weird disease from all the plants she studies..." she paused "...and the scariest thing is looking out at the world and seeing everypony else is at least getting to experience things for those same fears, that they can make a difference... I cant, and I wont..." Dash looked down at her empty plate, amazed and a bit taken back by what the filly said. This was a far more mature topic than she had ever expected to have to deal with... she thought a little reassurance would fix everything, but this wasn't a little filly problem - this was something far deeper and darker than she'd ever dealt with, and a side of scootaloo she hated to see... the mature side that may not be an adult, but wasn't an innocent filly anymore... "You and your friends" said scootaloo "you did get to make a difference, you got to do things that the rest of us only dream about, I mean you kicked an elder dragon in the nose! ...maybe you dont want any more adventures because you've had them all. You can look back on your life and smile at everything before it all started settling down... I cant... I never got to do that, and now I never will." she pushed her plate away "I'm not hungry anymore" she said as she slid out of the booth "I'm going home" Dash looked at thunder, her eyes pleading with him to help out here, despite not liking to admit it, she was in over hear head with this one...
  20. Scootaloo did smile faintly as the action but seemed to have wound down into a general light depression Dash continued talking for a couple seconds before she realized she was being poked, first frowning, thinking it was Scoots urging her to finish up her story but then looking surprised when she realized it was thunder unfortunately a proverbial light bulb seemed to go off in her head "Oh, let me guess, you want to know how the pirate crew got to the mountain, right?" proving she had been completely oblivious to what was happening as she was telling her story...
  21. ((wasn't sure if you'd gone on without me... dont really have a lot of ideas since Hope's so shy that someone has to actually go to her and initiate anything... unless y'all want me to throw one of the school's staff your way...)) Once the two were gone, the rock had a flash of energy wash over it and Hope scurried down next to the water, panting hard, fighting off a panic attack, stopping frequently to take gulps of water. She felt... uncomfortable... after that and didn't even know what to think. ((I imagine that Esaka will be quite surprised when she returns later and notice the rock gone... I wonder if she's going to develop the crazy idea that Equestrian rocks and get up and walk around...)) ((I can also imagine a very awkward conversation between Hope and Trixie/Starlight about "she touched me and made me uncomfortable" @_@ ... XD))
  22. ((You have no idea how much I'd love to do just one last epic CMC misadventure... send them off on a huge quest and then have to find their way back home while stopping at all kinds of exciting locations and partaking in exciting little escapades, saving others (and themselves) and wondering if they'll ever see the safety of ponyville again...)) Scootaloo sighed but smiled "Me and my friends used to get into all kinds of crazy adventures" she said, her eyes staring off into the distance "looking for lost treasure, trecking through the mountains, fighting wild dragons..." her words seemed to be... embellished... but there was clearly a yearning there, action and excitement was calling her, but she felt unable to answer the call, instead just sitting there and being willing to let her life flow by slowly... maybe it wasn't Dash or Thunder that had issues with who they really were... maybe it was a certain filly, or possibly even all three... old habits are hard to break after all...
  23. Scootaloo sighed "Not really... I have school and helping creatures discover their place in life... and tutoring the students at the friendship school... I dont really have time to get into adventures either..." a tear leaked from her eyes "Just like with rainbow, my time for epic adventure has passed me by..." "...and then she said 'Rainbow what are you doing?!' and I said 'Being awesome!' and then she said...." Dash was completely lost in her story now, not even realizing that neither of them were really listening anymore...
  24. ((Dunno. I really wish they would either clarify it or remove it. As such anytime I have/will hate a thread that has anything more than casual flirting in it, I take it offsite to my own forums, which is frustrating because I somehow end up losing threads and forum backups >.<)) Dash laughed a little "I dont technically know him honestly, I've only spoken to him once or twice. The one who knows him best actually is Spike, Twilight's Second-in-command - Spike saved him, and he saved spike several times, so they're best friends... which I admit not that i'm talking about ti does sound a little weird, but..." she shrugged "But if you really want to hear about interesting, there was this one adventure we all went on where we first met this giant talking cat who walked on his back legs and wow could he sing and-" Scootaloo sighed, looking over at thunder, speaking quietly "Now you got her wound up, she can be as long-winded as Twilight giving a lecture when you get her talking about her old adventures... I think she's secretly sad that she cant really go off on crazy adventures now because of all her responsibilities... I know I would be..." she sighed again, clearly wishing she could have taken part in awesome adventures like Dash and her friends did before age and responsibility set in too strong.
  25. ((well the official post from the staff says: That last part about no warnings and a permanent non-negotiable ban on first offense, tells me its not worth the risk...)) "You remind me a bit of a friend of a friend who's a changeling, he gets philosophical and almost disgustingly sweet and nice" she giggled "in a way I guess it's kinda cute, but..." Scootaloo cocked her head "...are you talking about Thorax?" Dash smiled "Yes I am, and no I dont care if you tell him I said that, he'll just agree!" she laughed "pfft, and here I thought I had some blackmail on you" she teased, her expression making it clear she was joking... at least hopefully she was...
