  1. I think that weather their foals are earth ponies, unicorns or Pegasuseseseses is depending upon their heritage. This would explain families usually being one type of pony (the apples, I think that Rarity's parents were both unicorns, were they?), but still allow families to have other ponies as kids. Perhaps several hundred years ago it would be uncommon for ponies to have different kids, but I would imagine that the family lines would have become squiggly. Thus ponies would have different types of ponies for relatives.
  2. hmmmm... Hayao Miyazaki... Also! Weesh! you think that spirited away is best Miyazaki?GAAHHH! Love and tolerate. That been said, I think that you are completely wrong, It is a fantastic movie but Mononoke Is (in my view) simply such a better film. The whole idea behind Mononoke is that war is useless, horrid and meaningless. No one wins, only survives. Spirited away is about 'discovering yourself' and being brave. While I do agree that there are some sense in Spirited away that are brilliant, unless somepony has an overwhelming argument or points out something that I missed, I will likely prefer Mononoke.
  3. woo for Chimney think from Rosewind. ... this is some wise words, methinks. The only thing I would hasten to add is if you try to encourage people to watch the show do not force them. Not everyone will like it, regardless of how fantastically-amazingly-stupendously-brilliant the show is. Dont shove it down their throats, this is a sure path to them despising it; even if they know not why they do. Even with all the reassurances, logic and gentle encouragement, some bronies (myself included) will not feel comfortable 'coming out'.
  4. Okay! answering while 'doing' homework. Physics, specifically dark-suckers and scientific method. The most played songs on my Itunes is currently: Those ones that are trending up: EDIT: Omg, I loved that pmv. not the type of music I usually listen to though, but it was okay, I guess.
  5. pre-Rarity. whaaaaaaaa? why not? I dont like that the series has slowly progressed in a more technological direction, but wah-huh? post-rarity I wasn't paying particular great attention to the time,. When re-watching I noticed that Twi referred to yesterday RD wanting something to do. Though, the second visit could be on the same day, with RD staying up late that night. Your assumption of her being in hospital a minimum of 3 days is quite reasonable, thus I will change my statement. She was in hospital for about 3 days? Doesn't a bone take a lot longer to heal than 3 days?
  6. This is really cute! I love Twilight, she is always cute. But... the legs. The forelegs look a tad thick at thick ends (at about the ankle) and the rear legs are missing the.... ARGH! the bit where the leg looks like there is a chunk missing. screw this HERE is what I am talking about. The fringe's curve is a bit more even than you have it. Just cause you asked.
  7. ok, here we go! times and thoughts... 3 2 1 11:01> Quite a good episode. Would have been good if the pressed the message a bit more, perhaps flash-forward (?) with RD imagining what her friends would think ("lols, RD is egg-head!"). Love RD episodes as always!
  8. Greetings! It seems to be a rather common occurrence of watching the episodes, then later becoming a brony. Hope you enjoy your time here, everypony is pleasant and interesting to be around. The art sections (to my rather limited knowledge) are a good place to ask for advice, as is most of the... uh... INTERNETS! Twi (close second is RD), Bridle Gossip, lyra. probably... Have fun!
  9. Okay! Original Life (Nsfw-ish. not the comic, the background links and stuff) Commander Kitty Sandra and woo: 1 2 3 4 That... is all I can think of at this stage...
  10. I am reading: a $5 copy of The number of the beast, by Robert A. Heinlen. Good, but kinda odd... LOTR, Fellowship of the ring for english we are about 20 pages into The Great Gatsby.
  11. Thankyou weesh for keeping me on my toes and away from making vague, generalised statements. What I meant to say was closer to this: " Most of the TV that I have had recommended to me or that I hear about doesn't interest me (period dramas, for example) as previously shows with the same basic premise have not been enjoyable, Is on at an obscure time slot or not easy to find online. Rather than watching mediocre TV, I would rather talk to to you guys, watch movies, play games write fanfiction or hay, even read. During those activities I have a lot more control (true or perceived) over what media I am consuming. Most of the TV I enjoy is on either ABC or SBS, in the form of documentaries, thus I do not (usually) class them as TV per-say. "
  12. "Season 2 - Leaked (but true{citation needed}) episode synopsis: Putting Your Hoof Down." If this is true (pleasepleasepleaseplease), then awesome. I am quite interested as to how this will happen without dissolving into AB's "But I want it now!", But with Fluttershy. I am all for fluttershy episodes, so let this have my vaguely-intrested stamp of approval.
  13. Basically: Apple bloom: "I am a big pony" thus, to "pull an apple bloom" is to act in such a way that one attempts to apire 'grown up' or 'mature'. thus, in this situation, the phrase refers to the hypothesis that the character may be attempting to seem 'grown up' or 'mature' by rejecting that which the character perceives to be immature. nomnomnom peaches...
  14. Eh... most TV is petty crap. Official sites are awesome, Abc and SBS have some cool shows (Docos) on their sites, so yeah.
  15. hmmmm.... I think that Weesh (not you, the one from the comic...) might actually like the ponies (Ie: trying to pull an Apple Bloom), I have seen that happen with some other comic that slips my mind... The MLP themed strips on Sandra and Woo were interesting, they ended with Comics doing shout outs are fun... especially when its ponies!
  16. I really hope so, for your sake. talking to people in RL about things is soooo much more interesting than talking (only) on the... uh... internets. Drop some quotes, If he gets them, It is a distinct possibility. good luck! *crosses fingers*
  17. Ewwwww... From a story point, I Think that Gilda makes more sense. I dont understand the picking of Octavia or Vinyl Scratch. I think that Ditzy would make more sense as pinkie, perhaps slot in Cheerilee as fluttershy?
  18. Good for you! ... that makes me sound like an ass, but I mean it serenely! Sooooo... How did it go...?
  19. I watch: Ponies Dr who Star trek (TNG) not one on TV! all on box sets, apart from ponies. Hasbro!
  20. how many have I read? ALL of them. well... all of them from Tintin in America to Tintin and the Picaros. The movie was actually better than I expected.
  21. hmmm... Some other species walking around in the BG would be cool... not so many as to be silly, but occasional griffons and perhaps zebras would be interesting... Posters. For whatever. Wonderbolts, Magic shows, even just posters like NyanDash ones. As was said before, Dr Whooves wandering around would be cool. Perhaps trotting quickly with Ditzy trying to keep up? Or perhaps muttering about pears or the lack of fishfingers. Evidence of Twilight's other reports to the princess would be cool. She makes a lot of them, so her preparing them would be sweet... Pegasus working in the sky with clouds. Or even just ponies working on the ground, hauling things around. Even if they are non-nonsensical. Other ponies in the library, borrowing books... Twilight would be a scary librarian. Other ponies buying things in Sugar Cube Corner *sigh* I am disappoint. So much for trying to convince other Bronies that we are not big evil scary monsters.
  22. I was thinking twilight would argue what they made was not cider, just juiced apple trees. This... would make boat-loads of sense. This moral has not been covered before (to my knowledge) and makes sense coming from AJ (or RD for that matter).
