She watched as the other filly trotted off, heartbroken as could be. *sniffle* [colour=#800080]"Well THAT could've gone better.." [/colour]She let out an awkward, awkward chuckle.[colour=#800080] "I'm so sorry you had to see that, Gearlock.."[/colour] The purple pony's words came out breathier than normal, yet more forced. Hoof over mouth, she cleared her throat. [colour=#800080]"I feel like it was the right thing to do, but at the same time.. I feel like I really hurt her.. and it hurts!" [/colour]A clear little drop formed at the corner of her eye, slowly slid down the fur of her cheek, and quickly fell to the ground, dampening a few sand particles. [colour=#800080]"Where could Pocket be going?"[/colour] That seemed to be the only thought in Shade's mind. Her instinct was to go search for her and comfort her, but knew that she probably wasn't the best pony for the job since she was the cause. [colour=#800080]If I'm part of the problem, I couldn't be part of the solution.. Could I?[/colour] [colour=#800080]"It's gonna be time for room check before too long and I'm worried. I would go talk to her, but I'm prolly the LAST pony she'd like to see right now.. Gear, you've gotta do it. You or.. Somepony I just... I don't know!!" [/colour]She sat, throwing her hooves up over her face, shaking her head side to side, her rich cornflower drapes swaying like the hips of a dancer.[colour=#800080] "I just DON'T know.. When she saw She felt a little more comfortable just seeing that Slick was approaching. [colour=#800080]I just gotta follow my heart.. [/colour]She looked up to the stars, now covering most of the sky. Something about them just seemed to fascinate her.[colour=#800080] There appears to be a lot more here in Red Rock than back home in Canterlot! Maybe Luna doesn't place as many stars back home because all of the pony made lights would take away from their natural beauty.[/colour] She remembered what Miss Licorice had said about the sand. [colour=#800080]It IS a beautiful night, and we ARE on magical ground. [/colour]Slick appeared much closer than she remembered him when she tilted her head back down. [colour=#800080]"Heyy.." She went THAT way somewhere and I'm worried." [/colour]Shade lifted herself up, back on four legs. She whipped the sand off of her flank. I wish I knew where she ran off to so I could at least give her some socks so her hooves don't get too chilly.[/colour] Everything would soon fall into place and work out for the best.. Just, not QUITE yet..

Hahahahahaha I'm thinking that we could be free to shop in the town before taking off, and all meet back on the bus before a certain time, but our players could just not make it on time and she could ask real quick if everypony was on and take some kid's word for it. Alcohol may or may not be involved XD LOL, the love triangle will be interesting when we're left behind. It seems like Pocket is moving on to Gear and Puzzle either dropped out or is also moving on, and so we might just have a bunch of couples and poor blizzy with her broken leg!! That'll be an interesting one.. I'm sure that Flash will take great care of her though Heehee, I'm super excited to see what happens between Knight and Violet :3 Oh!! And yes you can totally get your mark!!!!! That would be AWESOME AS A POSSUM, Silvie!!!!

[/colour]The young mare listened carefully as Abbot explained what exactly he was hoping to find with the experiment. Licorice could feel his embarrassment when he admitted that there had once been a side effect. [colour=#008080]"It's okay, when I was first learning I accidentally made a friend pass out after drinking mine. I felt sooooo bad!! I've come a long way since though, thank goodness!!"[/colour] She wanted to reassure him that it's all part of the learning process. After all, if you never make mistakes, how can you get any better? [colour=#008080]"That's really a cool idea, modifying food and drink like that."[/colour] Licorice accepted the pastry and the soda sample. She first sampled the first bottle hoofed to her. [colour=#008080]"That tastes like AWESOME!!"[/colour] She giggled. [colour=#008080]"..and by awesome, I mean black cherry. The enhanced carbonation really does make a difference. It's a very full, fizzy black cherry flavour. Write that down Razor"[/colour] She bit into the warm pastry, pure genius warming her taste buds. [colour=#008080]"I'm impressed, Abbot! ((Aaaawwww!! Poor Violet!! More possible heartbreak to come, here goes!)) Shade knew that she had to do it. Pocket and Gear in view, now seemed as good of a time as any.. But what to say? Breaking off a romance is no simple task!! Her feelings had always been real, but keeping it real, she knew that she had to be real with Pocket. [colour=#800080]First thing's first, I guess.. "Hey guys!" [/colour]She greeted her friends with a small smile before looking out over the ocean. The sun was going down, casting it's pretty, sinking reflection over the water. The stars were coming out, each pretty little light in the sky giving the small filly a bit of encouragement.[colour=#800080] "I'm sorry that I left you in the water back there, Gear. You were doing so great!! After Puzzle and I spoke I saw a bunch of ponies huddled up and when I went over to see what was happening, Knight had almost drown! Slick was able to get him breathing again, and I helped carry him carry Knight back to the cabin. He slept for awhile, but he was okay in the end."[/colour] A small light trickled across the sky, quickly fading into nothingness. [colour=#800080]"Did you guys see that? A shooting star!!" [/colour]The event brought some joy to the young girl's face, but her expression was soon to turn sour. [colour=#800080]"I wish.... That there was an easier way to say this.." Did that just happen? It seemed so unreal! Her raised heartbeat and the faint chill of saliva left on her cheek both reminded her that the event had been true. It was only before he had nearly left that she found the ability to speak return to her. [colour=#800080]"See you!!" [/colour]She watched his tail make it's way out of the door, and turned to Violet not a second later. [colour=#800080]"VIOLET DID YOU SEE THAT OH MY GOSH!!!!! He likes me!!! I like Weesh's proposal!! Mayhaps we could have a few games going, but not 16? Maybe just 4, and we could have everyone signed up in different slots on all of them so that they -hopefully- wouldn't overlap?

Shade gave Slick a small smile back, letting the silence be for a moment. The words that he spoke next felt so much different than she would have imagined them. It was finally happening!! Slick thought she was really pretty, AND he really liked her!! But why did she feel so bad about it? Why did those long hoped for words now seem so sour? [/colour]She shook her head gently, letting her cool, wet mane fall over her face.[colour=#800080] "..I feel like you're the kind of pony who I could see every single day and never grow tired of. Please be okay..[/colour] The filly bit her lip and looked over at Violet. Her poor friend looked so scared!! She really liked Knight, and Shade knew she would be devastated if the worst were to happen. Slick looked like a professional bringing up the saltwater, giving Shade confidence that Knight will be okay. Sure enough, he was breathing again!! But would need to take it easy for a bit back in the cabin. [colour=#800080]"I'll you help carry him. Great job with the cpr!! I was really worried back there!!"[/colour] Shade helped Slick lift their more or less conscious friend before starting to move in the direction of the cabins. The colt's cabin was unfortunately farther than fillies.. Was he stable enough to make it all the way?

[/colour]Using her front two hooves, she repeated the simple outward arm movement that one uses to stay afloat. "But yeah, thank you Pocket! I started to feel kind of funny because I really think that I'm starting to like Slick!" She turned to Pocket for a moment. [colour=#800080]"Then with your back legs, you just kick one backwards and one forwards, then keep switching.. Like.." [/colour]She showed the motion with two floppy front hooves. [colour=#800080]"Kinda like that. Okay, so this is kind of a big step, but it's how you practice. If you trust me enough to go a little deeper with me now that you're standing upright, we can go just where you can stand but still can try moving like that in the water. When you start to get it, you'll even float above the ground a little. Also kind of weird, but like it helped my friend Wishbone and it helps as a buoyancy aid to hold somepony's hoof at first."[/colour] (That's true in real life, too!) Although Canterlot was a gorgeous place to have settled down, sometimes Licorice missed being out and about, seeing all of the different sights and taking in the glory of all of the new, exciting places. A blush painted away across Wish's surprised face. Not only had Shadow just turned away the small group of fillies in order to get to know him better, but he had also put his hoof around him!! Wishbone instinctively leaned in closer. [colour=#ff0000]"..I don't know! Maybe it's because an amazing guy has his hoof around me right now?"[/colour] He have Shadow a small smile. He HAD said that there was nothing to be shy about, but Wish couldn't help himself! Shadow's alluring orange coat, his enticing eyes of green, the way his mane bounces ever so slightly as he moves..
