  1. This might be fun. I've been reluctant to RP here since writing for ponies would feel a little awkward. But if the characters are human, I'm down for it. Do I need to have approved character applications or what is the drill here? :' )

    The Smiles!

Haha, yes. I was at work the other day and even though I was assigned to a department that I hate and had to work late into the night I just kept humming the Smile song to myself and it wasn't that bad. The cheerier and more smiley I was to customers, the happier they seemed to be when they walked out the door. Pinkie's words of wisdom are trufax.
  3. I'm sure it's no surprise who my favorite villan is. Discord!! There's just something about villans that have fun and get a kick out of their own evilness that I really love. Remember Hades from Disney's Hercules? He was great. But oh my god, Discord. Second favorite would be Chrysalis because she had a cool design and a great song.
  4. My friends and I were talking about all the old shows and pulling up clips. They truly were ridiculous, some of them! Digimon, Pokemon, Shaman King, YuGiOh, Monster Rancher, Medabots, Beyblade, Flint the Time Detective, Fighting Foodons, Bobobo, Ultimate Muscle...and I know these aren't anime but remember Reboot and Cubix: Robots for Everyone? God, so incredibly ridiculous! xD
  5. Ahahaha, I like that. Make Trixie the reoccurring Team Rocket type character that shows up at least once a season. Blast those mane six! xD
  6. Thanks! And I gotta say, this comes to mind when you comment sometimes. In a good way, of course. xD
  7. I keep getting the image in my mind of the epic-looking ice castle from Chronicles of Narnia. xD
  8. Considering my friends are who became obsessive about the show before I did, I think I'm safe. There's a few in my group that think the whole concept is kind of silly, but that's about it. One of my friends like to comment on the pony outfits seen at conventions by saying stuff like, "If your gonna cosplay a horse, you need to make the hooves and the horse face and.." It's kind of funny.
  9. Really just excited for Wreck-it Ralph, but there are a few other animated ones that look like they might be fun. Hotel Transylvania, ParaNorman, The Guardians, etc. I'm an animation major so I love all that stuff - even if 3D isn't my favorite kind of animation. I know the Pirates movie (stop-motion animation) came and went in theaters, but I'd still like to see it. My friend and I watched TinTin the other night. It wasn't all that. I like historical fiction so I think the Abe Lincoln movie might be a bit of fun. I remember really wanting to see Anonymous and The Raven but I never got around to it.
  10. I chose computer, other, and I don't play video games. I have a gamecube and a nintendo 64, but I don't play them much because ever since I got a new tv it won't plug into them properly. I used to have a PS2, but I sold it to get cash for college textbooks. I also had a gameboy color, but that got stolen eventually. I downloaded some emulator games from it onto my computer for the nostalgia recently though.
  11. Gez is short for Gezibing, the Cantonese word for a delicious waffle snack. I used to have them all the time, especially the chocolate and tuna ones. Most gezibing looks more bubbly and less waffle-like, but the one by where I lived was more like this. Mmm.
  12. That sounds about right. Something too dark wouldn't fit in the show very well. I like it happy and bright the way it is anyway.
  13. This isn't supposed to be me or a character. Just a random bystander, haha.
  14. Ohoho, idea. I'll do the next one.
  15. Whenever this kind of discussion pops up in real life among people in my age group I think, "What is everyone talking about? We all know everyone's first anime was Pokemon!" Because honesty, I think Pokemon was the catalyst that launched the interest of anime for kids my age, which made the genre pick up in popularity and soon Kids WB and Fox Kids were dominated by Japanese cartoons. The rest is history. Now, if we're talking the first "non-saturday morning" type anime I watched, it was probably Cowboy Bebop along with the rest of the old Toonami lineup. But Cowboy Bebop sticks out the most for me. There's also the Kimba the White Lion videotapes I rented from the local video store when I was little. And I'm pretty sure Inspector Gadget was made in Japan. Did you know The Brave Little Toaster is half-Taiwanese? xD
  16. (It's okay to not know who that is. I'll bet if you asked anyone outside the US they wouldn't know or care, which is fine. A single country's politics is not the center of the world, after all.) Anyway, as creepy as that idea sounds at first, it might be really interesting to watch! Though, are you suggesting an episode that reveals that Equestria is present-day Ponyland and the fallen civilization they discover are the Ponylanders/Flutter Valley/etc? That would be pretty grim, but a fascinating way to handle/explain the connection between G1-G4. Doubt they'd take that route, but it'd still be interesting all the same. : )
  17. Nice to meet you! I found out about this place through friends too. Also, Skype is very fun but I haven't had a reason to get on it in a while. Hope you have fun!

    Hello.

Nice to meet you! I just joined as well.
  19. Just found this thread. No wonder you like linking to tinychat all the time, Grey! Pff.
  20. I'll have you guys know that because of this I was singing Pinkie's Welcome to Ponyville song at work all day today.
  21. This is where I used to live. The video always makes me smile but also kind of sad.
  22. Oh! This means my friend is going to voice this one. (Texting him congrats right now, haha.) But man I am so pumped for this. This move just looks like a big bucket of FUN!!
  23. I really liked the Stardust suggestion. It's a really charming name. I'll tell you that when I first looked at the character and especially the cutie mark the first things that came to mind for me were Little Prayer or Tiny Prayer. But that's just me. :' )
  24. Hello and thanks! I really love the artwork in your icon! It's very mystical like a black cat. Some scenes from Secret of Kells or Watership Down come to mind even though they aren't very similar. Idk. Did you draw it? : ) Oh! And I also just noticed your username! I used to watch the second series when I was a kid. I remember it more than I remember the original series.
  25. Thanks for the warm welcomes guys! Aw man that chocolate milk looks good.
