If you're interested in RPing on this site, here's some things you'll need to know:
First of all, we have three RP settings, as follows:
WoE is geared to be completely canon. An approved application is required, and you can find the form and some great guidelines and suggestions for completing it here. Cast characters are available for RP in WoE, and your OCs can only be canon species seen in FiM so far. You can find the cast list & rules here, and the species list here. Since WoE is meant to be just like the show, we suggest that you not app anything for your character that you would not see in the show. This doesn’t mean your character has to be boring, not by any means! But anything too dark is not allowed. We also suggest that you keep an eye on the Codexia, which can be found here.
CC is similar to WoE in that approved applications are also required, but any WoE-accepted characters, as long as they aren’t be changed, can be played in CC without needing a new application. The application can be found here. In CC, we do allow some things that don’t fit into WoE. Non-canon species that still make sense in the setting are allowed. Changelings and batponies are available, too! Alicorns will be available as soon as we’ve hammered out definite limitations on them. Cast aren’t available yet, but Rosie and Dio are working hard to set up a system for them in CC. The cast and species lists can be found here. The group was now gathered around Silver, whose horn began to glow. In a flash of brilliant light, all seven ponies vanished from the restaurant and were now standing in a valley in Bareback Gulch.
"Looks like ya did it, Silver!" Texas Tilly neighed.
"Excellent work!" added Sye Klops.
"Good show!" Con Mane said, "couldn't have done it better myself!"
"Way ta make with the magics, Silver! GIT'R DONE!" added Larry.
"Where exactly is your mine from here, Gold Digger?" the Olden Pony asked.

Ms. Harshwhinney's next move surprised even the elderly Professor Krashkop. Looking even more distressed, the orange Earth mare instantly threw her forelegs around him, hugged him tightly and began to cry.
"OH WOE IS ME! WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?" she cried out, sobbing uncontrolably. Now the Professor was at a loss what to do or say next. Looking back at Gerrard, all he could do was shrug his shoulders, hoping that his griffon friend would think of something else to say to her.

"Oh! Jolly good, I'll give it a go!" Mojo neighed as the duo got the music going again:
"How many years must a pony climb, but he can reach the sky?
How many days must a pony wait, before she begins to cry?

As the Paint pony continued to play, he nodded at Flax, hoping he'd pick up on the signal for him to take the next lyircs singing session.

"AFFIRMATIVE, GOLD DIGGER!" Silver spoke, "NO ADVANCED PREPARATION NECESSARY, PLEASE GATHER TOGETHER AS A GROUP SO WE CAN PROCEED FURTHER!"
"Now yur talkin', big guy!" Larry said as the rotund stallion stood next to Tilly. "Gotta do what Silver says, GIT'R DONE!"
"Jist keep yur hooves ta yurself, ya durn galoot!" Tilly neighed.
"This won't be, dangerous, will it?" Sye Klops asked as he walked over next to Tilly.
"I'm sure this will be fine," Con Mane said confidently, "Olden Pony, are you coming with us?"
"Came this far, didn't I?" the scary looking elderly mare asked as she walked over to join the others.
"C'mon Gold Digger, we're ready ta go! Don't worry none, good ol' Silver's magic ain't missed yet!"

While her bearded brother continued his search for AppleBloom, Granny Smith took a look down the line and spotted Celestia.
"Jumpin' Gee-HAUS-A-FAT! It's Princess Celestia! HAY Applejack! Princess Celestia's in line now!" the elderly mare shouted as she bowed. When she got back up, Granny Smith reached for Apple Strudel's old tripod camera. "Since Strudel ain't here, it's up ta me to set up his camera fer when Celestia come up here!"
Meanwhile, Professor Krashkop continued talking with Carrot Top.
"So Fraulien, I hear you have a very special somepony now! Dat is so vonderba! I vonce had a very special somepony vhen I vas young und.... ACK UNEEMAL! Look behind us! It's Princess Celestia!"
The elderly green Pegasus stallion immediately bowed towards the co-ruler of Equestia.

"CALCULATIONS IN PROGRESS!" Silver spoke in his electronic voice, "TRIANGULATING DESTINATION POINT!"
"Triangle whats, metal head?" Larry neighed.
"THAT does it! Yur gitt'n it now, chunky!" the furious striped mare yelled as Sye Klops and Con Mane held her back.
"Don't do it, Tilly," Sye Klops urged.
"He's not worth it, ma'am," added Con Mane.
"Yeah, he ain't worth it, ma'am!" Larry yelled out as he hid behind the Olden Pony.
"Don't ya hide behind me, ya coward!" the Olden Pony yelled, whacking him over the head with a big stick.
"OWWW! That old mare kin sure hit hard!" Larry whined.
"COMPUTATIONS COMPLETE!" Silver spoke, "TELEPORTATION SPELL READY FOR ACTIVATION!"

"Good show, Flax!" Mojo shouted as he continued to play his guitar with his new friend's singing, "dig that groovy swingin' beat! Yur hip to the jive! Sing it, pal!"
The Paint stallion was pleasantly surprised with Flax's performance. Perhaps this was the way to finally convince him of Mojo's honest and noble intentions.

"Silver, kin ya do the job?" Texas Tilly asked the mechanical alicorn stallion.
"CALCULATIONS COMPLETE!" Silver announced, "DUE TO MY HIGH LEVEL OF MAGIC IT IS INDEED POSSIBLE FOR OUR ENTIRE HERD TO BE MAGICALLY TELEPORTED THAT DISTANCE, PROVIDED I AM GIVEN OUR DESTINATION COORDINATES!"
"Destination whats-it?" Larry asked.
"Destination coordinates," Sye Klops added. "The place where the mine is located."
"OH! What's it again?"
"Nevermind Larry, I believe the rest of us understand," Con Mane said confidently.
"Bet the old gray mare don't!" Larry laughed.
"Magical teleportation requires intense concentration and complete focus to make it work," the Olden Pony said, surprising nearly everyone at the table. "Hay, just because I'm old doesn't mean I'm not smart!"
"That sure is true, ma'am," Tilly said with a nod before turning to Gold Digger. :"Do ya have a map of the mine's location so Silver kin have a look at it?"

"Far out! Here ya are, pal," Mojo said, giving Flax Seed a pair of sunglasses, "Really groovy bongo playin'! Yur a natural! Since ya don't wanna wear the beret, I do it. Got me guitar here so we can have a swingin' jam session! Let me warm the ol' hooves up a little first."
Mojo began to strum his guitar, first playing the 'scales' to check to see if his guitar was tuned right, and then he started playing a soft melody.
"There we go! All set an' ready ta play! If ya wanna lead, I'll follow your tune, Flax!"

Professor Krashkop nodded, deciding to play along with his griffon friend's train of thought.
"Ja! I tink I vaguely remember him!" the elderly Pegasus stallion neighed, "from vhat I've heard, he is quite popular in social circles in dis town! All of dee high society mares have been seen vith him, stern vays and all. Tough negotiator indeed! I believe he's an even strictor inspector than you are, Frau Harshwhinney!"
Now Ms. Harshwhinney looked more worried than ever. The purple vested orange mare did NOT want the Princess to hear of her initial reaction to Gerrard, nor did she want to further insult him. And on top of all of this, another inspector was coming? This made Ms. Harshwhinney literally shake in fear.
"But, I didn't mean to... that is to say... didn't I already apologize for... wait... I...." the clearly rattled mare rambled on, becoming more and more incoherant as she spoke.

Nothing wrong with a unicorn being a farmer, sounds wonderful to me!

"Whoa thar!" Larry the Cable Pony neighed, "that's a long, long way ta walk! Hay Tilly, how about askin' yur tin plated pal thar ta zap us all over to the mine with his magic? He's gotta horn, ain't he?"
'If'n ya call Silver tin-plated oncest more, tubby, you're gonna be FLYIN' ta the mine on the receivin' end of mah BOOT!" the striped mare warned as she turned to her cybernetic stallion friend. "Silver, kin ya do it?"
"CALCULATIONS IN PROGRESS!" Silver spoke in electronic voice.
"Magical teleportation of this size of crowd?" Sye Klops asked. "Is that even possible?"
"Theorhetically it is, I suppose," Con Mane said, "though I would never attempt it myself."
"Well, how about it, big guy?" the Olden Pony asked.
"GoldDigger, whatdoya think? If'n Silver kin magic us over thar in a jiffy, want'm ta try it?"

"Let's put some giddy-up inta it, Strudel! We still got a heap of party guests an' family ta feed!" Granny Smith neighed, "need ta cook up somethin' fast fer supper!"
"Vee could fix sandviches, mein sister," Uncle Apple Strudel answered. "Day are fast to create, und vee already have enough bread for.."
"I gotta better idear! How about you put some sandwiches together fer the crew? Got lots of bread and while they're eatin' on'm, I kin cook up somethin' ta go with'm!"
"As you vish, Granny," her bearded brother said with a smile as he went to work on them.
Meanwhile, Haywire was still watching AppleJack play with AppleBloom's playset with fascination.
"Grown ups are the weirdest ponies of all!" the blank flank filly thought to herself, "All the adults in mah life er always yellin' at me ta GROW UP and ACT MATURE! And here's a grown up AppleJack actin' like a foal! I ain't never gonna understand adults!"
Haywire continued to quietly watch, unsure whether to offer to 'join in' with the sisters or just keep silent. But the silence was broken when Uncle Apple Strudel walked in, carrying a tray of sandwiches and a pitcher of lemonade and sat it on a nearby table.
"Everyvone! Supper vill be coming shortly, but until den, here are plenty of sandviches und lemonade! Please help yourselves!"

As Mojo, Jubilee Flyer and Haywire finished their lunches, an announcement came over the school's PA system:
"Attention students! Will the following students please report to the Principal's office IMMEDIATELY! Jubilee Flyer, Mojo and especially Haywire! These three students report immediately to the Principal's office! That is all!"
"Blimey! I wonder what the devil they want?" Mojo asked as he stood up and turned to Asteria, "sorry love, duty calls. Catch ya later!"
"C'mon brother, can't keep'm waiting," Julibee muttered as she pulled Mojo away from the table and towards the swinging doors past a worried looking Haywire.
"Uh oh," the young rust colored girl muttered, "I wonder which one of mah pranks they pinned on me? I go to the durn Principal's office so much, I should be gitt'n frequent flyer miles!"
With that being said, the three departed from the cafeteria.

"Now would be groovy, chum!" Mojo neighed, "got all that gear in me peddler's wagon right over there!"
The Paint stallion pointed to his wagon parked down the road. Quickly entering the back of the wagon, the hippie brony emerged with a set of bongo drums.
"Here ya are for starters, Flax. Wanna give'm a go?" Mojo asked as he took out his guitar. "What's yur hat size? I got a few berets in me wagon and some sunglasses too!"

If you're interested in RPing on this site, here's some things you'll need to know:
First of all, we have three RP settings, as follows:
WoE is geared to be completely canon. An approved application is required, and you can find the form and some great guidelines and suggestions for completing it here. Cast characters are available for RP in WoE, and your OCs can only be canon species seen in FiM so far. You can find the cast list & rules here, and the species list here. Since WoE is meant to be just like the show, we suggest that you not app anything for your character that you would not see in the show. This doesn’t mean your character has to be boring, not by any means! But anything too dark is not allowed. We also suggest that you keep an eye on the Codexia, which can be found here.
CC is similar to WoE in that approved applications are also required, but any WoE-accepted characters, as long as they aren’t be changed, can be played in CC without needing a new application. The application can be found here. In CC, we do allow some things that don’t fit into WoE. Non-canon species that still make sense in the setting are allowed. Changelings and batponies are available, too! Alicorns will be available as soon as we’ve hammered out definite limitations on them. Cast aren’t available yet, but Rosie and Dio are working hard to set up a system for them in CC. The cast and species lists can be found here. As with WoE, we have a CC-exclusive Codexia that can be found here. Finally, for a better look at the guidelines that set CC apart from WoE, the rules can be found here.
FFA is distinct from WoE and CC in that you don't need an application. You can start a thread right now! It can involve any character, location, or story, as long as ponies are included in some way and the threads don’t surpass PG-13 in rating: no excessive gore, and nothing explicitly sexual can be included. You can, however, cross MLP over with anything you want! Do you have a Doctor Whooves adventure setting you want to play around in? Go for it! Want to play as Twilight Sparkle, but you don’t have her for WoE? Feel free! Itching desire to play in the Equestria Girls universe? FFA is the place for it. Go wild!
It’s entirely up to you which roleplay setting you decide to jump into, and if you need some help, feel free to ask! The RP Staff is here to ensure that you and everyone else enjoy Canterlot’s roleplaying community. If you want any assistance in creating your first RP character for CC or WoE, I’d be glad to help you, and once your first character is accepted into CC or WoE, I’d be just as glad to help you find a thread to join that will help you play your character to her full potential!
