  1. I know it's been 10 days but if you are still having this issue, try running Steam as an administrator and then launching the games. Also, for all your PC gaming fix needs: http://pcgamingwiki.com
  2. According to Serebii, Nintendo has revealed that the Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie will be pure Grass, Fire, and Water types respectively. No word on their evolved forms though. http://serebii.net/index2.shtml
  3. I personally don't see how changing their designs would ruin the show, so long as they can explain it. It's sort of like transmetal forms from Beast Wars. That being said, I'm really digging Soundwave's Beast Hunters design, but his hands seem so...off. I just have how they are completely flat and angled strangely compared to his arm.
  4. I never really got into Vocaloid, nor do I actively follow it, but there are some good songs out there. Love Is War, Sweet Devil, Ura-Omote Lovers, and my personal favorite...linked below...to name a few.
  5. Obviously, but you have to look it as a whole. Each of the three starters uses a move that sets up another rock/paper/scissors archetype. If this isn't suggesting dual-types, then it is a very interesting coincidence.
  6. With AGDQ 2013 officially over, the runners at Speed Demos Archive have managed to raise an astounding $422259.01 in donations, all of which will go to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
  7. From the trailer, you can tell that each of the starters in this generation are most likely going to be dual-type, much like Gen IV. In the trailer, each of the starters uses two moves, one from the known Grass/Water/Fire type, and one that suggests a second type. From what we can see, it appears that Chespin will be Grass/Dark, Fennekin will be Fire/Psychic, and Froakie will be Water/Fighting. This presents an interesting twist in terms of the rock/paper/scissors type effectiveness we've seen in all previous generations. Chespin - Froakie - Fennekin - Chespin Grass -> Water -> Fire -> Grass Dark <- Fighting <- Psychic <- Dark So hyped!
  8. I'm just going to quickly interject here. They get hate because much of the older gaming community is very wary of CoD's primarily younger online community. It is the same complaint as back in Halo's early days, where the online community was generally full of pre-teens and teenagers. Well, those people have grown up and now Halo's community is primarily young adults and adults in their early 20-30s. CoD will most likely follow this trend in due time, but that doesn't change the fact that young boys with microphones are very annoying.
  9. I can't say no to anything Suda51. Killer 7, No More Heroes, Shadows of the ****ed, Lollipop Chainsaw, Liberation Maiden...all amazing games despite being flawed. Objectively, I could not recommend any of these games save for maybe Killer 7, and yet these are all some of my most beloved games. I put so many hours into Lollipop Chainsaw, and loved every moment of it.
  10. It looks great, and I'm really excited. I'm not too keen on the new trainer body style though. However, with this being the sixth generation, we can finally witness the true power of this team:
  11. As a fellow Trekkie, were you as upset as I was during the third movie when Sentinel Prime used Spock's "needs of the many" quote in a negative connotation? I mean, I get what they were trying to do there but man...not cool.
  12. I just wanted to let everyone know that Awesome Games Done Quick 2013 is currently in progress, and will last until January 12. If you do not know what AGDQ is, it is a charity speed running marathon of all sorts of games hosted by Speed Demos Archive, with this years proceeds going towards the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Various prizes are raffled off to donators throughout the event, with one lucky donator winning a grand prize at the end of the marathon. This year, the grand prize is a deluxe edition Wii U, and a replica gunblade from Final Fantasy VIII. They have already raised $35,000 in donations after the first 12 hours, and there are still six days of gaming to go. Come check it out @ speeddemosarchive.com!
  13. I've been playing WoW off and on since the end of Vanilla and after almost 8 years of gaming, I still do not know what to think about it. I was a hardcore raider through BC and up into Ulduar of WotLK, and since then have played casually, taking a few months break every now and then. I recently just started again with Mists and am leveling a Pandaren Brewmaster. There is a lot to like about WoW, however I cannot help but feel that Blizzard is just very lazy in terms of catering towards what players want. Raid encounters are becoming less and less creative, and I am seeing the same mechanics in this current expansion that I have already experienced in previous expansions. Class balancing is an overall mess, with sweeping and massive buffs and nerfs every patch that do little to accomplish anything. At the end of the day, however, as a casual player I enjoy WoW for what it is, and I try not to "look under the hood" so to speak.
  14. I got into the Transformers universe when I started watching Beast Wars. Since then, I've had a love/hate relationship with the franchise. In terms of television shows, I really liked Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and Transformers Prime. I thought that Transformers Animated was...okay. I never got into G1, and I honestly am not fond of how cheesy it is. Granted, it's a little bit after my time but I find that it did not age well at all. Outside of television, War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron were both incredible games, and I highly recommend anyone who is a fan of the franchise to give them a try. And then, we come to the Michael Bay films...oh boy. I know that there exists a lot of hate for the three movies, but I personally enjoyed them for exactly what they were...mindless entertainment. I enjoyed the films because they were visually stunning. I didn't care about the plot, and I didn't care for anything other than giant metal robots tackling each other. I almost wish they completely removed the human element from the films, and just focused solely on the Transformers themselves. xD Oh, and overall, my favorite character is Arcee (Prime).
  15. I would probably make sure to limit the format to Standard, or decks you actually own. There are so many broken cards and combos in Modern/Legacy that ruin friendly games. Otherwise, it sounds like a blast, and depending on the time I would love to participate.
  16. I've been a Brony since the beginning of FiM, right around the time it initially exploded online.
  17. This is most likely going to be my only post in this particular thread, but my own personal philosophy regarding insects is that anything with more than four legs is an abomination of life. Oh, except for house centipedes...they eat all the other insects and arachnids in my house, and I leave them alone.
  18. My folks sent me a new CPU, GFX, MOBO, RAM, and SSD. I also gifted myself a new gaming laptop that rivals my new desktop. In the spirit of friendship and giving, I also decided to buy a $100 Amazon gift card and a $100 Steam gift card for one of my close friends. His mother recently moved back to Korea, and he had no family to spend the holidays with.
  19. Instead of trying to sort out a top 10 list, I'm just going to go by relevant categories. Best Action-Adventure - Far Cry 3 I've put so much time into this game and have accomplished so very little. There is just so much to do beyond the main story, and I'm loving every minute of it. Best Indie Game - Dust: An Elysian Tail Dust was a welcome breath of fresh air amongst dozens upon dozens of mediocre hack and slash titles. Solid on all fronts and a great soundtrack to boot. Best Multiplayer Game - Borderlands 2 It is very obvious that Borderlands 2 was designed with co-op play in mind, and it pulls it off seamlessly. Best RPG - Torchlight II I've nothing really to say about Torchlight II other than it's pure fun, and there is plenty of depth to be found in this game. Best Shooter - Halo 4 Ironically, I'm giving the nod to Halo 4 not because of its completely average shooting mechanics, but because of its gripping story, polished graphics, and addicting online play. Dishonorable Mention - Dishonored Dishonored was an okay game, but it lacked innovation. Unfortunately, at its core it feels like most other games published by Bethesda, and I've grown tired of playing them. Game of the Year - The Walking Dead: The Game Never have I cared so much about the fate of a video game character before. Telltale Games has managed to redefine what good storytelling means to me.
  20. Does Luna count as a background pony? I mean...she gets less screentime than some other background ponies so... If not, I'd probably have to go with everypony's favorite DJ, Vinyl Scratch.
  21. Any time Anti-Mage gets out of hand, it is always the fault of the opposing team for letting him free farm. That is the entire point of being a good Anti-Mage; You either farm well and carry your team, or you get shut down while laning and are useless to your team.
  22. My only real pet peeve is not exclusive to the Brony community. I simply find it very annoying when people take their obsessions too far and go out of their way to let you know about them. I like Friendship is Magic just as much as the next Brony (or Pegasister), but I don't want to ponify every aspect of my life.
  23. I beat all five episodes of The Walking Dead without crying.
  24. I have the 3DS version of Giants, but I quickly stopped playing it due to the horrendous frame rate issues.
