  1. ..or soon. I will have to finish her first, though.
  2. I'm gonna be totally serious here, I'm really glad that they didn't go with the "evil male pony". That would have been awfully generic.

  6. I want a guest role for Niel Patrick Harris, singing, because I love that guy, and he makes everything better. Also, I want to see the Doctor running in the background, just once, looking busy, maybe followed by a (dare I say) companion. That would truly make my day.
  7. "I'm finally getting the hang of this", Seeker thought, as he entered the mountain pass, "It can't be that far anymore." Through the blur of leaves and dirt in front of him, he saw what he believed to be a group of ponies. The path took several sharp turns, so he lost sight. To his surprise, the mountains were quite tricky. Not like the ones back home, but still. The sound of hooves echoed around the stone walls, and Seeker could hardly make out if it was his own, or of the others up ahead. He was glad to have Blacky at his side. Up ahead, the path forked up into several paths, and no sign of a post to indicate which one to take. The ground was so hard that he couldn't see a single hoof imprint on the ground. This was one of those situations where it payed to have a well trained dog with you. As Seeker slowed down, Blacky was already searching the ground. After a short while, he indicated one of the paths to the left. Seeker trusted his dogs judgement, they had been through a lot. "Good dog." He thought, "I'll get you something nice when this is over."
  8. haha, I hate you already Welcome nonetheless.
  9. Well thank you. Since I'm terrible with names, it's Blacky for the time being.
  10. I just noticed that I claimed an already (?) claimed number my accident. Naturally I can't change it now. What should I do?
  11. I'd like to sign up for a picture, please. Truth be told, this is one of my favourite games ever.

  14. Name: Milky Quartz Sex: female Age: young mare Species: Pegasus Pelt Color: brilliant white Mane/Tail/Markings Color & Style: mid long pinkish with red Eye Color: orange Cutie Mark: A sandcoloured whirl Physique: slender, but wiry Origin: Painted Pinto Desert Roleplay Type: Mane Occupation: drifter, and kind of a scoundrel Motivation: Finding her place in the world Likes: Flying, freedom, the desert Dislikes: cities, hard work, being crossed Character Summary: Not neccessary a very social person, Milky usually tries to stay away from crowds. She is really only happy when flying. Ever since leaving her family, she never made any real friends. Her goal at the moment is to find her mother, who got separated from the rest of her family after her birth. Origin Story: The nomads who travel along the Painted Pinto Desert warn their children from wandering into the sands. They say the wind in the desert is so strong that it carries away stray objects, and sometimes even sheep or Ponies. They blame it on mystical flying creatures, who live in the sky, invisible to the naked eye. Little do they know that those occurrences are actually the work of a family of Pegasi. Milky was born into the Quartz clan, a Pegasi family native to the Painted Pinto Desert. Since the desert lacks clouds most of the year, these Pegasi instead call a huge rock Massive in the middle of the desert their home. Since the openings to the caverns inside of it are only reachable with wings, it's virtually unknown to the other inhabitants of the sands. However, since the rocks and even the oasis near the Massive don't allow for much agriculture (aside from some edible mushrooms in the deeper caverns), the Quartz clan instead runs raids on the caravans and settlements around the desert, creating sand storms with their wings, and stealing what they need to survive. Most Ponies are completely unaware of this. When Milky was still a little Filly, her mother left the Massive, for reasons nopony in the clan ever lost a word, but she barely noticed until she got older. Growing up in a big family, all her aunts and uncles looked after the fillies together, and so the question never came up. She showed very early an eagerness to learn how to fly, and indeed was the first among her siblings to learn how to fly. It was then that her character seemed to change. Milky spend less time with the other fillies, and started to push to join the raids. Of course, her father was reluctant, seeing how young she still was, but she learned so fast that it was unthinkable to hold her back anymore. And so, on her 13th birthday, her father presented to her her first set of flight goggles and an own breather, a wooden contraption the Quartz clan members would were to protect them from breathing in the sand they swirled up. She knew instantly what that meant. She would join the next raid. The day was finally there. Milky spread her wings, as the other Pegasi took starting formation on the top of the rock. As the winds blew under her wings, she felt exhilarated. They took off, in the direction of one of the bigger oasis near the rim of the desert. As they drew closer, they started to fly spirals, carrying the sands with them. They formed a sandstorm, just she had practised. It felt so right. Now that she was out here, in the desert, she knew that this was her destiny, and sure enough, her cutie mark appeared, but she took no notice of it for now, too amazing was her first real flight. They swirled into the oasis, and sure enough, all the ponies fled into their tents, leaving unattended lots of supplies around the campsite. Some Pegasi stayed in the air, keeping up the wind, while the others scooped down, picking up loose food and packages around. It had worked like a charm, and that for years. They made sure to just take enough to live, always, it was a matter of pride. What they didn't know was that not all Ponies went inside the tents when their raid started. One of the fillies had taken refuge under one of the big canvas covers that held the trade goods in place. She didn't see much, but did catch a glimpse of Milky, soaring around the sky, too caught up in thrill of flight to pay attention to her cover. Luckily enough, noone believed her, but they did set up a wanted poster, together with an illustration based on her description. Nothing ever came from it, up to now. As they returned to the stony caverns, Milky finally noticed her cutie mark, a sandcoloured whirl, visible on her brilliant white hide. From that point forward, it was hard to keep her on the ground at all. For years, Milky went on raids with her family, performing admirably with the flight teams, but barely pulling her weight around the caverns. When not in the air, She seemed distant and lazy. Her father was very worried. He suspected this had something to do with her missing mother. So he sat her down one day and they had a long talk, and although he couldn't tell her where her mother was now, Milky gathered that she left shortly she gave birth to her, and never made contact with the clan after that. She was most likely still around the desert, since she always loved the weather around these parts, but that was all. Except for a single black and white photography, yellowed by time and sunlight, that her father had kept all those years. He gave it to her. They looked remarkably alike. She had made her decission. She would leave the Massive, and search for her mother. She was a mare now, and well capable to take care of herself. And so she made her way to the next town, seeking her destiny. Thanks so much, Jay.
  15. Barking caught Seekers attention, and he opened his eyes. Assessing the situation for a moment, he stood up. "The race!!", he proclaimed. 'I must have zoned out for a moment.' He thought, as he shook his mane to shake the tiredness. A small group of ponies just passed him. 'Good, the race isn't over yet.' Blacky was nowhere to be seen, but Seeker wasn't too concerned. This wasn't the Everfree Forest, and the dog knew how to hold his own. As Seeker accelerated he let out a whistle, and thought he heard the sound of dog paws paving their way through the brushwood. 'Now then, let's shake some leaves.' and in a cloud of dust and leaves, he took off.
  16. 2 good friends of mine both independently pushed me to give it a watch. One because it's so darn cute and well written and one because of the internet culture surrounding it. And here I am now, loving both aspects of it.
  17. Random let's play of a Super Mario World rom hack. Skip to 5:55.
  18. The sight was breathtaking. As Seeker entered the Whitetail Woods, red and brown leaves swirled around him, brought down by the Ponies and others still in front of him. He had never seen anything like this. Slowing down a bit, he looked for a shady place near the racetrack. 'I'll have to pause at some point anyway' he thought, 'might as well do it now.' He sat on the ground, drying mud crumbling, as rummaged around in his bags, looking for the water bottle. He took a few sips, while Blacky sat down waiting aside him. As Seeker marvelled at the sight of the whirling leaves, several ponies ran past him, most of them not taking any notice of him. The dog looked up expectantly. "Yes, yes," mumbled Seeker, "one more minute."
  19. Alright, so here is what I got. I do think it kinda looks like german shepherd dog, maybe more like a particular young one. What you guys think?
  20. In my arrogance I actually forgot to look up what border collies look like IRL. You are absolutely right. I will try to mock something up myself right now, and put it here, if I'm not happy with it.
  21. Hello there, fellows I was wondering if someone could give me some pointers on how to draw a MLP version of a german shepherd dog. If someone could sketch up something, I'd be most grateful. I can draw well enough for my own needs, but I can't come up with something that looks good or true to the style of FiM. Anyway, for reference, here's a video of the kind of dog I mean: Thanks in advance, Davroth
  22. Thank you, Phil, for already posting all my first choices. That allows me to go with my seconds. Darkwing Duck Pinky and the Brain ..reluctant about that one, but here comes the something I got a very soft spot for: Invader Zim
  23. Seeker felt the wind rushing through his mane while his hoofs dug into the ground in full gallop. This was more like it. He had almost forgotten this feeling. During his time with the trade caravan, they had to safe their strength, because food and water was always low, and they had to share it with the sheep, and while he traveled the mountains on his own, he always had to watch his step for loose rubble and other dangers. As he had traversed the plains leading up to Ponyville, it just never occurred to him to go faster than a light trot. He felt exhilarated, as the movement triggered memories from when he was just a little filly, when he used to play with his siblings in the afternoons near the camp. They’d run up the heaths of the mountain outskirts, racing each other until they reached the mountain foot, a few of the shepherd dogs always on their side. It felt so long ago.. Seeker noticed the clouds of dust coming from the main field of racers that whirled towards him. He remembered his protection goggles still dangling around his neck. Using his telekinesis, he carefully adjusted the goggles, and naturally slowed down a little. One or two ponies used that opportunity to gallop right past him, but that didn’t concern him too much. This was about the trees, right? To his surprise, though, several ponies had slowed down and where standing aside the road. He saw Blacky skipping around them, trying his best to keep up the pace. Seeker knew that a dog couldn’t keep up with a pony, but Blacky wouldn’t give up just like that. He just hoped that he wouldn’t get into trouble for that. As they passed the apple orchard in whirls of autumn foliage, Seeker finally drew closer to the main field of racers. There might be a chance of good positioning after all.
  24. We wont know our scoring, though, before it's over, right? I don't think its a bad thing, since it keeps you motivated, even if you roled a 1 the last round or something. edit: me and my big mouth..
