Call em out on it. I have friends of a similar vein, and sometimes it takes a "dude, seriously, all you do is complain" to get em to actually realise what they're doing. When you complain lots, eventually it just becomes this thing that you do by default. It's like breathing, only when you stop to think you're breathing do you realise you are. XP

Eleven tickets to the gala right from the get-go sure would have saved Twilight alot of trouble. XP

It's a mighty intimidating discussion going on here, which I like, and most of the bases seem to be covered so if I reiterate what somepony else said as I throw my helmet in this discussion, well, sorry XD I honestly can't see the harm in what a non-RP member might suggest in OOC-RP threads. If anything, I think having access to such a feature before applying a character would be a benefit, as it'll give new members the sense that the RPers aren't some elite super group; we're all just Canterlot-ians coming up with ideas and writing. Ideas, good and bad, old and new come from all sorts, so we shouldn't cut off any avenues where more might arrive. It could be that non-RPers only have interesting ideas every 20, 15 or 5% of the time, but shutting them out could be seen as pretty intimidating, and would ensure that we'd never see those potential ideas 100% of the time. My 2 bits. XP

The armored pegasus frowned slightly behind her helmet at the comment about "ignoring the pony looking for dragons in the cupboard"; had she been too enthusiastic? In retrospect, it DID seem like a silly thing to suggest... Nonetheless, Kite shook the momentary lapse in outward confidence off, and after a quick sip of her coffee (it was really hot!), she stood up to greet the new visitor. "Oh, a friend of Miss Quicklime? My name is Kite, at your service!" She gave another polite bow, this time her visor sliding down with a loud CLANG before she could catch it. "Uh, I mean, don't mind me, sorry!" She quickly sat back down, flushing slightly; acting the part of a real cool knight sure was hard!

Nightmare Night! A celebration held all across Equestria, Kite was no stranger to the festivities, though it was her first time seeing the celebration outside of Canterlot. The filly had not packed a costume with her for her travels, and, not wanting to miss out on the fun, had instead opted to customize her suit of armor, which was now deep black instead of it's usual grey. Some dye for her wings turned her normal creamy-brown coloration to a dark black as well; Kite the dark night pony was ready to roll! And what better place to test her scary new costume (and her mettle as a fearless knight!) than at Pinkie Pie's Hilarious Haunted House of Horrors? The word around town was that this was THE scariest place to be on Nightmare Night, and despite her insecurities, the little armored pegasus knew she could not simply pass up such a a chance to prove her worth. "Well... here goes." She mumbled to herself, pushing the creaky door open and entering, apparently the last pony in the group to do so. Each step she took made her armor creak and clank, the sound echoing off the walls. No doubt it would add to the spooky atmosphere; Kite might even get a scare or two in herself!

I'm weaning myself out of my 3-year fast food job and into a new career at a local company specialising in mail-order game rentals/sales, corporate/party event management and shipping for rewards programs. At the moment, I'm doing part time at both, as I promised the bosses at my old job I'd at least give them til the end of November, and as much as I just want to up and leave them, if I don't have my word, I don't have anything. The new job is quite a ton of fun though, the people are awesome, the work slightly mundane at the moment, but tolerable. I get to listen to my Ipod at work, and we get early copies of games like any other game retailer. November is gonna be a crazy busy month though, what with all the new releases. Might need an unemployment topic when Skyrim comes out too XP

"I was out on a pre-emptive strike!" The filly explained, straightening up. "On the lookout for anypony in need of a helping hand, or for trouble; one never knows when it might rear it's head!" She gave a small grin, which was hidden behind her helmet. "Though so far, all is peaceful and quiet in town. Unless..." Kite paused; she hadn't though about it, but perhaps there WAS trouble in town! Maybe this pony, QuickLime, was in trouble, and here Kite was blathering on! "...unless you require assistance somehow! Like a quest! What's the problem?" The armored pony's eagenerness shone through like a sunbeam in the clouds; "You just name it! Dragon in the cupboard? Evil wizard in the coffee pot? Let me at em! I might not look it, but I'm really tough, just gimme a chance!"

I imagine most of the errors aren't spotted the first watch around. Still though, with the way Pinkie breaks the 4th Wall/Physics on a regular basis, this particular teleportation seems relatively tame. XD

"Uh... I believe Dad did meet the Princess before, but..." The wannabe knight paused as the towel, floating via Neon Pop's magic, zoomed past her eyes. "...he's not specifically a Palace guard, so he doesn't know her very well." The filly sat back in her seat for a moment, as the towel ruffled up her mane; the restaurant sleepily quiet, with only the occasional grumbles of thunder and rattling windows to interrupt the subdued chatter and droning Bzzzzzzz of the fat little bees that busily flew about. With such a nice, relaxing environment, Kite couldn't help but wonder how she'd find the motivation to go back outside into the cold wet storm after lunch. "But see, even if he doesn't know the Princess really well, Dad's still the best knight ever! He always said that being a knight was about helping others and being strong, fighting for what's right!" The bandaged pony explained with enthusiasm. "Everypony back home really respects him, I hope to be a knight that's at least half as good as Dad!" Giving her sore wing a slow stretch, Kite gave a small sigh. "It's gonna be a long time before I can go back to Canterlot and say that though." She wrinkled her nose slightly as the towel brushed past it. "But, I have no intention to quit! No storm, monster or rogue flying towel is gonna stop me from helping everypony that I can." She joked, giving a small silly grin.

"Hmm?" Kite slid up the visor to her helmet, looking up at the source of this sudden invitation. It was true that the weather was quite chilly; the idea of a hot cup of coffee was sounding quite fantastic as another crisp breeze danced past, sending several abandoned leaves down the path. "Oh, uh, of course!" The wannabe knight gave a nod, moving over to QuickLime's open door, and entering gratefully. It was immediately warmer inside, and the strong scent of coffee was enough to lift a pony off their hooves. The armored filly didn't want to forget her manners though; so far, it was her experience that the ponies of Ponyville were a friendly and hospitable sort, and Kite didn't want to give the impression of being ungrateful for this. She bent her forelegs and bowed her head, stopping to catch her visor from sliding down noisily at the last second. "Uh, many thanks for the invitation inside, that coffee smells amazing!" The pegasus looked up, "My name is Kite, at your service!"

Hmm... sounds like a neat idea! I'm wondering though, do you foalks plan to do this like a show on a timed basis on it's own, or are there plans to do something akin to an online radio station? If the latter could be pulled off, you'd be greatly increasing your options for topics to cover, as you could have more than one show on a radio station! EDIT: Or rather, are you planning to have it play on Celestia Radio?

I spose I fall into the TF2 and Pony fan, but not Dr. Who category, myself. It's quite funny, because I only picked up TF2 and Ponies a few months ago, TF2 maybe about three months, and ponies last month. So it's all kinda new to me still. XD
