QuickLime
Deep beneath the City of Canterlot, down in the Crystal Caves is a band of Ponies who walk a slightly darker path than most. This group is a band of thieves, but they are all united as a family..Doing jobs, smuggling, and even selling bogus merchandise just to make it through today to see Celestia raise the sun tommorow! The Guild is mostly a whisper in the city, and yet it is as old as Celestia herself (supposedly) Nopony is quite sure how it started, or even why but it exists and it thrives.Currently lead by Tribulation, whom was the daughter of the last Guild Leader, the guild is trying to adapt to the new changes and shifts in Equestria. The guild operates very similar to the "Thieves Guild" in Skyrim, while it is not 100% based off of that, so Ponies are allowed to have specialties, they are allowed to live and roam as they please, and run shops. A thief can be anyone anywhere, at anytime, but some do choose to live in the Crystal caves with their brethren. You can either create a new character to be part of the guild (Please Pm me their application first so that I can approve of it before you post it) Or request that a current character of yours receives an invitation into their ranks. Name:Age:Skill:How your character found the guild:What their primary job in the guild is:Are all information you can post below to see if your idea will work with the concept!I plan to have a tight nit group of nerdowells that live their lives, pick a few pockets, and on the occasion go on grand epic missions together to grab the rarest of valuables! Please fill the thing out above and post it here in this thread, if I approve then you have a few options!1: Make the character, including the thieves guild in their history, and tying them to it some way, and then Pm this to me BEFORE you post it so I can look it over, After I approve, you then post it in the Application area to have the RPH approve of it as well 2: Edit an existing character to be part of the guild, pm me the changes you are going to make, Pm Armony to unarchive your application so you can make the changes, then get them reapprovled3: Have your character recently discover the guild, We'll arrange how in pms and even do a Rp thread with them being accepted into the group There are several options and I am pretty flexible! Here are some skills that would be useful for the guildPickPocketing/LockpickingSneaking/HidingGood eye for counterfeits/Good at making forgeries Cooking/Organizing groupsCombat related skills with a knife, sword, or daggers (No guns, too noisy)Upper class connections and ties that also profit from working with the guildNot being named Snively There we go that should be everything! I look forward to seeing this project grow!
PyroBlaze
So how many skills are we supposed to list? As many as apply? (that sounds wierd to me, sorry if it does to you too.)I want to throw him in, though he'd be just discovering the group, since I like his history as it is. Anyways, go ahead and look through the bio there and get back to me when you can so I can finish the app here.
QuickLime
Absolutely only one or two, nobody wants to deal with a character that has all of them, and while your character DOES seem like an okay fit, however I want ot look him over better before I decide on anything
Harv0kz
I did have a character concept of a thief character that specialised in general theft, infiltration and used twin "claws" for combat, but I'd rather save his "museum heist" style of theft and his "claws"So I'll just fill the thing out from above, and if you're okay with the basics, I'll go ahead and fully app him up.Name: Silver ZephyrAge: Young StallionSkill: Close-quarters-combat, stealth (sneak/hide)How your character found the guild: He didn't. Zephyr's parents were members of the guild under the previous leader. What their primary job in the guild is: "Sneaky" theft of items, and general lookout.Well, that's my basics. QuickLime
Sounds good to me! Pm me the app before you post it -nod-
PyroBlaze
Sounds reasonable. Two it is! I guess I probably shouldn't list his skills with daggers, since that would essentially be copying Harv0kz' idea for his character. Besides, he fits into three of those skill sections, so I'll just list the other two I think he fits in. I'll just fill out the stuff on the form you asked for, kinda, that's not already in the bio.Skill: Stealth (Sneaking/Hiding) and Pick-pocketing/Lock-pickingHow your character found the guild: (not sure what I'd put here, since I'd want him to be just finding it)What their primary job in the guild is: Wandering agent, completing jobs as he gets them. QuickLime
You don't "just find" the guild, you get invited in, or you prove yourself to a member of the guild and they ask if you want to join, then they talk to the guild leader
CaptainMcDerp
Name: AugustAge: BuckSkill: Pickpocketing and cooking. (Also not being named Snively.)How your character found the guild: He encountered a member of the guild who invited him after witnessing his skills. What their primary job in the guild is: Pickpocket and part time cook. Zeig
Name: InkbrandAge: Young StallionSkills: Combat (Hoof-toHoof primarily, with some skill with daggers/knives), MisdirectionHow your character found the guild: Found out August's connection to the Thieves Guild after they became friends, and decided that working through a Guild would provide a more steady income than taking odd jobs. Asked to be introduced to the Guild Leader through August. What their primary job in the guild is: Enforcer

Quillhart
I have a character of which I haven't apped yetName: Dragonborn Squeakpeek (To most known as Snitch)Age: Older than most in the guild but fit as a youngster.Skills: Good eye for counterfeits and organizing groupsHow he found the guild: He did a personal heist with his friends. It didn't go right because of one of said 'friends' and his own good trust. The guild found out and helped him out.Primary job: Snitch is the guilds fence and economic organizer. If it can be sold, Snitch will get it sold. But Snitch doesn't like being left out on some secondary jobs as well <_<

Zeig
Of course! If McDerp isn't okay with that, then Inkbrand could have been temporarily hired by a member to pull off a special theft that required more muscle than they'd had on hoof. And afterwards, they'd found his skills to be pretty useful (along with Inkbrand obviously not being put off by illegal work), and invited him to join the Guild. StaticPinks
Hi, I'm really interested in being a part of this Thieves Guild, it sounds like a lot of fun Here is my OC's info, hope it's good enough:Name: Sly AshesAge: Older StallionSkill: Adept at stealth and sneaking, as well as using his magic to cloak himself and be nearly hidden from pony eyes. Is also a seasoned smooth talker and seems to understand what exactly to say in order to get what he wants. How your character found the guild: Has only worked for himself, using his skills to take what he wants from whomever he sees. Was able to pull off a large heist at the mansion of a very wealthy pony in Trottingham, making off with most of the bits and gems from the main vault and attracting a lot of attention. he was eventually found out by the Thieves Guild who had planned to steal from the house before Sly intervened. He was then given an invitation to join their ranks.
QuickLime
Actually I see an issue with Sly Ashes, he sounds like the character with no real loyalties to the group? The Guild at the end of the day is a family and he seems the sort that would take advantage of that fact.
StaticPinks
Well how about if I change his outlook a bit? He steals from only the rich and uses his skills on people who deserve it, and doesn't consider abusing his talents for his own personal gain? I could also say that working in the Thieves Guild could maybe allow for better heists, and less risk. He will also care about others who share the same views on thieving, as do the Thieves Guild. Is there anything else I should add to make him seem less like he wants to take advantage of being in an organized crime family?
QuickLime
Then he sounds way too similar to Sly Cooper XD Hn might be easier if maybe he was born into it ?
StaticPinks
But wouldn't that also be a little more like Sly Cooper? Being born into a family of thieves? Sorry, I just thought I would try out this idea, but I haven't produced an original character at all for this, let me roll my character out a little more and I'll try you again when I think it's good. Sorry for wasting your time.
