Animated Theme Songs!

Recommended Posts

I remember the Duck Tales theme. Seriously catchy. There are so many awesome, catchy cartoon themes I remember growing up with...

But instead I'll use this space for some of my personal favorite anime openings, mainly because they're fresher in memory.

Arakawa Under the Bridge first season opening (though generally, I find every OP this show's studio, SHAFT, does is incredibly awesome):

K-On!'s first opening (though all the openings, endings and insert songs in this show are just infectious):

The OP to season one of Shinryaku! Ika Musume. I think it exceeds in capturing the spirit of the show:

Favorite OP from a show I'm currently watching. Second Nichijou Opening. Check out the first too though. Both are equally fun:

And an old classic. Azumnaga Daioh's OP:

Yeah. I like cute, happy and occasionally strange music when it comes to my anime openings. Not that I dislike the OPs that use more serious music, the cute stuff just stays with me longer.

Dragon Ball Z Kai definitely does qualify as anime.

I had never seen the English anime opening before. Vic Mignogna singing it, I see. That's pretty cool.

Personally haven't checked out Kai yet, but DBZ was one of the first anime I ever followed so it's always good to be reminded of it.

mm ò3ó I had this really intense anime opening video in my favourites that I can't find now. I don't know what anime it was for, it was just a really cool opening. I think it might've been switched to private

btw, what's with the sudden wave of videos turning to private on youtube? before my biggest concern with loosing favourite videos was copy right

I don't know. If the anime is licensed, it seems like the openings do face getting removed by the licensor. Makes finding some of them harder...

Some more favorites of mine:

Lucky Star's iconic opening:

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei's quite bizarre openingi:

My favorite anime, Puella Magi Madoka Magica's opening:

High School of the Dead's sexy, cool opening:

Angel Beats!' fun and exciting opening:

I was all set to put up some theme songs, but I've been so in love with these five songs that I just had to post them first.

Okay, this time I think I'll post some anime endings as opposed to openings. Since they can be just as fun sometimes:

Starting with perhaps the most iconic anime ED in recent memory:

I adore this song:

I think I might just really like KyoAni's endings. Here's another one:

Moving from one of my favorite studios to another, we have this one:

And for maximum cuteness, there's this:

My brain is exploding with memories! Man, Darkwing Duck, Bill Nye, classic Rugrats, Wishbone were such staples in my childhood. I even feel like I watched Chalk Zone though I can't recall actually watching it. There is one major favourite from my kid years I don't see here so without further delay...
