So... I looked up an ebonics dictionary at work and tried to say some of the stuff. My African-American co-worker said I should just stick to what I know. I wonder if I offended him. Don't think I did! I think he just pities me.

They're trying to imply I couldn't talk to skaters either. This would be false. Just because I use dignified diction doesn't mean I'm not a skater sometimes. Or a musician.
