flutterscotch
So, I am trying to put together an epic Halloween playlist both for my all-day party on Saturday and the subsequent day of Halloween where I'll be giving out candy for several hours (I get between 300 and 400 trick or treaters). Can folks please make suggestions???a few caveats:No: Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson (and like 90's industrial bands), Death/Black metal, Cramps. It has to be something that normal radio stations could play without being fined by the FCC.This is what I actively have so far (As in already in the playlist):Werewolves of London- Warren ZevonPsycho - The SonicsThe Witch - The SonicsTrick or Treat - FastwayYou must be a witch - the Lolipop ShopDevil with the Blue Dress on - Detroit Wheels Witch in the Club - Quintron and Miss PussycatCut-out Witch- Guided by voicesSuperstition - Stevie WonderSeason of the witch - DonovanThriller (duh) Michael JacksonOne Eyed-One Horned Flying Purple People Eater - Sheb WooleyBark at the Moon -OzzyTwilight Zone - RushTwilight Zone - Golden EarringMonster Mash (also, duh) Boris PickettFrankensten - Edgar Winter GroupSomebody's watching me - RockwellThe Freaks come out at night - WhodiniGhost Riders in the Sky - Johnny CashThe Killing Moon - Echo and the Bunnymen (and possibly their cover of People are Strange)I Put a spell on you - Screamin' Jay Hawkins (guess who hates CCR? me!)Strange Brew - CreamA Forest - The CureLulaby - The CureHaunted - Dusty SpringfieldStrange Dream - Red Lorry Yellow LorryDead Souls - Joy DivisionShadow Cabinet - The ChurchAnd I am just going to pick something out of a hat involving Bauhaus, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper, Ronnie James Dio, Black Sabbath, Tom Waits, and Danzig/The Misfits. As well as various songs taken from horror movie soundtracks (Exorcist, Halloween, and..um...Rocky Horror).

Rain
Jeepers Creepers, and 1930's jazz tune.It was used in a horror movie, also titled Jeepers Creepers."Jeepers Creepers, where'd ya get those peepers?Jeepers Creepers, where'd ya get those eyes?"It's been covered by various artists, so i'm sure you can find a version you'd like for your party. Bauhaus is already covered...in abundance And I can't believe I forgot 'Don't Fear the Reaper". I of course have it!Carl Orf, however, is a big no. I used to like Carl Orf, but let's just say I have negative associations Jeepers Creepers, and 1930's jazz tune.It was used in a horror movie, also titled Jeepers Creepers."Jeepers Creepers, where'd ya get those peepers?Jeepers Creepers, where'd ya get those eyes?"It's been covered by various artists, so i'm sure you can find a version you'd like for your party.Actually, I might just include Peek a Boo, By Siouxsie and the Banshees, which includes bits of this song. Brony-Vas-Normandy
"Cremation," by King Diamond is very Halloween-like. And it's instrumental, so it would be great for setting the right kind of theme.

flutterscotch
I guess the Boston phoenix released the top 100 Goth songs of all time.http://supplements.t...goth/top/?page=I can't believe I forgot Down in the Park. I love this song. It's Halloween-y right? Or at least sinister as hell! or or maybe I Die, You Die.... HMMM.But I might add my favorite Cure song in there just because its hysterical. Dunes
I dunno how ethereal/spooky you want this to be, or if you'd rather this be more of a fun-sounding thing, but Dead Can Dance has a lot of songs that I think sound pretty haunting. Like or or . A lot of stuff from their "Within the Realm of a Dying Sun" album sounds like that.
