[Trottingham] Fairly Distant

Imagination

Recommended Posts

The fair! What better place to have it than the fairgrounds of Trottingham? There was something for everypony, and no shortage of fun and jubilation. There were games of all sorts! Stalls with darts, pop balloons for a stuffed animal! Or apple bobbing! Or blow up the clown with a water gun! Fishing for rings! But there weren't just things for the foals!

There were amateur races that ponies could enter and compete for prizes. There were candy auctions run by a lively old stallion, selling sweets by the boxes and several ponies crowding around his stage, holding their tickets to make a bid! A live show, featuring a 'magician' and some dancers, good fun for the whole family. There was a farmer's market, putting on display the best fruits and vegetables around! There was even a Ferris Wheel!

Ruby Pinch was ecstatic! She loved the fair! The little pink pony wasn't ever too far out of sight from a chaperon, though it was extremely unlikely for anything to happen to the little foals at the fair in Equestria. Throwing darts or apple bobbing was a bit too dangerous for her, but fishing for rings was fun! The mare running the game watched as the filly followed the rings circling in the little pool, eventually tilting the rod down to try and hook one. She got one! She ended up winning a little yellow bear, the filly hugging it tight with an excited 'yay!. Holding her prize in her mouth, she happily trotted off to find another game to play. The unicorn filly was having a blast so far, and couldn't wait to find what the rest of the evening would bring her.

Traveling was always exciting for Fleet Paw, even if it was a "business trip" for his parents. New places! New sights! New adventures! As the family approached the town of Trottingham, one of the first things Fleet noticed was a huge carnival going on. "Oh! Oh! Oh! A carnival! Can we go? Huh? Can we? Huh? PLEEEEEASE?" If the small cynogriffin could have been more excited, he would probably start vibrating. The two parents exchanged a glance, before responding "Alright, you can go. We still have to deliver the order though, so don't go too far." Almost as soon as the sentence was finished the cub took off. "Meet us back at the entrance by sunset!"

So much to do! So much to see! Fleet was an orange blur amongst the crowd, running from stall to stall, wanting to see it all! Dart throwing? Water-gun shooting? Apple bobbing? Where to start!?

Two foals were running through the streets, dim streetlights leading their way. They were on the way to the fair ground.

Most foals would have looked forward to the booths and attractions and other sights of a fair, but for those two, it was something else that drew them. Many ponies from all over Equestria came to see the big Trottingham fair. Lot's of healthy ponies, too. It was a paradise for pickpockets. Life hadn't been good to the twins lately. The local foal gangs didn't want to have anything to do with them, and the local guards were more and more cautious, too.

But the fair grounds were different. The guard was severely understaffed to cover the entire ground, and most of the tourist were oblivious to pickpockets. It was easy picking, really.

Chip, cheerful as usual, ran swiftly along the road leading outside the district, and into the fair grounds. His sister, River, was in hot pursuit, doing her best to keep up with her energetic brother. She knew the moment she took her eye from him, he'd be in trouble.

They had almost reached the fair, and the streets were buzzing with activity suddenly. River had trouble to keep up, but she didn't give up yet. He was still in sight.

Thunderhead and Thunderpeak had started out trying to keep an eye on their baby sister. Honestly, they had. But right now they were busy talking to two pretty fillies about the time they had thrown a stink bomb right into the middle of a fancy party aboard some Canterlot snob's yacht and gotten away with it, even after being chased by the captain's stallions for a few miles through the clouds. She had noticed their lack of attention, and had slowly begun to edge away from her guardians, knowing that if they could just keep flirting for a few more minutes, she would be free to explore the Fair however she wished. And that suited her mightily. She had to time this just right, though. If she waited too long, her brothers Clouddrum and Shadowmane would be back and they would not let her more than a foot from their side.

That was when some clumsy mare tripped and bumped into Thunderhead, who stumbled forward and lifted his wings to balance himself, but managed to headbutt the filly opposite himself and clip his brother in the eye with a stiff flightfeather. Not understanding why his brother was breaking their rule of Wingponyship, which had been agreed upon by both of them for the safety of all they met (truthfully, if either started a prank war against the other, it would end poorly for Equestria), Thunderpeak swore and gave a him a static-charged hoof to the side of the head. An intense argument began before the only uninjured party could explain things, mainly because she was trying to help her concussed friend stay conscious.

Rainsquall had no desire to stick around and watch the madness unfold, and even less of one to watch what happened when her other brothers returned to find the twins fighting instead of watching her. She fluttered off into the crowd, flying along at about shoulder height for most stallions. Off to her left, she noticed a mango blur that looked like it had feathers, and, liking both the color and the energy of whoever it might be, hovered after it to investigate.

Trottingham had a different mood about in than Valen's usual haunt, the streets of Upper Crust in Manehattan. It was a city that was decidedly more friendly and close-knit despite its size as long as cider season wasn't in full swing. Then it could turn into the city of wild hoof-fighting and anarchy, but thankfully, this was not cider season. To be accurate, he had never been here during cider season and took that rumor as fact from several friends. He had always had a good time and was treated well in the well-known harbor city. He had traveled there relatively often, it being a major port and one of Equestria's leading economic centers. Good place to do business and have business grow and his parents always found a way to drag him with them.

This time, the plan was simple: A large Fair was underway and local Orange family representatives were wholly unable to handle it. This was rare, as they were more often than not extremely competent. Illness has a way of undermining such notions however and with time of the essence and the fair becoming a looming concern, his parents had decided to grab the bull by its horn- unicorns never seemed to appreciate that phrase, but they weren't there in his head, were they? Or...were they? Could all unicorns read his thoughts? That was a scary thought!- and run it themselves. Under their leadership, Valen was sure the Orange family would find unyielding success in yet another well-known Equestrian event. But then again, he didn't plan on finding out how they did for long.

The same fair where his parents would be working was also home to the single largest Foal-friendly center of activities in the land. The list of events and activities that passionately captured the attention of a foal were simply too numerous and exciting for his little foalish heart and mind to wrap around. He had a lot of bits to spend and several days to waste, and he was personally excited to wander into the fair and have a go at it. His parents, however, had other plans- no intentions of stopping the foal per se, but a chaperone was close by at all times. A rather stout looking bodyguard named Gilded Hooves(did that pertain to his faux golden horse shoes?) followed behind Valen at a relatively even distance. His parents knew of his travels around Manehattan and had enough faith in him to stay safe, but a parent is never truly content with a wandering child no matter the situation.

And so, saddlebag wrapped tight and bodyguard several paces behind in tow, Valen entered the fair and partook in several games of chance, losing at ring toss in a delicious manner. Never had Valen thought he could get a ring around the horn of a unicorn and lose! Ahh, such silliness-

-he was nearly ran over by somepony.

(OOC: thanks for posting the link :) )

An orange foal with a spiky teal-blue mane looked around at the amazing sights.

Snails was bouncing around happily as he enjoyed the fair. His parents had been eager to go and had decided that it was too big an event to simply leave their foal in Ponyville with a babysitter. He had already been on some fun rides with his parents and having the time of his life.

Suddenly, Snails spotted an arcade tent, with the latest mechanical games. "Oh Boy! They gots "Snail Wars"! Kin ah stay here fer a few games?"

(OOC: Before anyone asks, the earliest arcade games I remember seeing had actual mechanical parts instead of tv screens, like the steampunk arcade games in at least one Legend of Zelda video game. ;) )

The unicorns looked at each other, then back at Snails. His mother ran a hoof through her blue mane and put her sun hat back on "Well hon, we are kinda wore out, doncha' know. We're going to go to the hospitality tent and sit down fer a spell. It would only be a short time."

His peach colored father, with a Wonderbolts ballcap nodded "Shes right son, it's an awfully big fair and we dont' want to lose track of ya."

Snails eyes went wide and pleading "Pleeeze? Ah will only be at th' arcade an' nowhere else. Dont' ferget, ya put pictures of yerselves with our names and addreses in my saddlebags in case ah got lost. Why go to all thet trouble and not trust me once?"

His parents glanced uneasily at each other, remembering the Ursa incident.

Snail groveled "Pleeeeeeze? Ah'll be boincin' off the walls of the rest tent waiting ta get back here."

They looked at each other again, then back down at snails "Do ya remember what to do if you get lost?"

He crossed his heart with an orange hoof "Ah go ta the nearest Clop or Guard an' tell 'em I'm lost and show them yer pictures. Thet or ah go ta the base of th' parachute tower ride since it's the tallest thing in the fair and everpony can see it."

The parents looked at each other again, Snails' mother already wilting from the exertion of the morning.

With a sigh, they reluctantly nod.

The father ahemed "Okay son, just stay right at the arcade. we'll be a couple booths down at the Hospitality tent. When yer done, come right on over, okay? If yer still playing, we'll come in and continue resting up with ya. Here's a few bits, and be careful, there might be pickpockets."

Snails whooped and hugged his parents, then bounced happily into the arcade.

15 minutes later, he had played his last bit and stepped out of the arcade, then saw a mango blur heading for a unicorn colt about his age.

Snails yelled "Hay! Look out!" and stared trotting over to help out for the inevitable collision...

Pinchy had made her way over to the candy auctioneer, just listening to the older stallion talk really fast as ponies bet for candy.

"Fifteen bits, Ihearfifteenforthemysterybox! DoIhearsixteen, sixteenforthebox, currentbidisfifteen, sixteen? Fifteenfortheboxgoingonce, goingtwice,SOLD! To the mare in the back!" The other participants cheered or the winner, all of them preparing for the next bid. She sat on the ground somewhere in the back and hugged her new bear close, watching a couple more auctions with sheer fascination. "If only I was older! I could get some candy or mommy!"

To her, it was so absurd it was awesome! But apparently these sweets could even rival those found at Sugarcube Corner in Ponyville. As it was, however, she was too young to bid. But if she was older, she'd have her cutie mark by then for sure! What if her cutie mark was about candy? That'd be neat! But what would it be? A lollipop? A box of chocolates? A cupcake? Ruby made her way through the tight, low-visibility-or-a-filly crowd of ponies as she neared the center of the fair, thinking on this and giggling to herself, that prize bear still in her mouth as well. Oh course, she was so immersed in her thoughts that she didn't see the Cynogriffin coming RIGHT at her as it cut through the crowd as well, with a couple of other foals in pursuit!

They even have an ARCADE here!? And an auction block!? Is there anything this carnival DOESN'T have!?

"Hay! Look out!"

Focusing back on where he was running, Fleet quickly noticed he was on a collision course with an orange pony. Quickly changing his course with a few flaps of his small wings, he spun around the foal with a loud "Whoop whoop whoop!" What he was not expecting was a sudden high-velocity face-to-face greeting with a tiny pink unicorn carrying a yellow stuffed bear. Too late to change course! PREPARE FOR IMPACT! Fleet plowed right into the second foal, sending both tumbling to the ground. The cynogrif groaned in pain as he tried to stand back up. "Owww..."

((OOC: If the color is too similar to Snails's, feel free to yell at me to change it.))

Valen had no time to take stock of that which raced by him and nearly toppled him, and soon found himself spinning in place with great rapidity. He slowed down eventually, having created a small space around himself where the dirt was well-maintained in the manner of a pony angel. It was then he realized that his saddlebag had somehow ended up in his stomach and was spilling contents- namely, bits. Some had launched themselves and hit his bodyguard's head with such speed during his spin that he know lay on the ground slumped head-first, a mix of groans and unconscious mumbling escaping his ruby lips. Valen allowed his head to come to a standstill before he nudged his bodyguard pensively with a hoof- yeah, he was out cold. Valen worked the saddlebag back on top, not bothering with the fact that there was now a hole.

Who could be so unkind as to race through such an area at such high speeds? It was a recipe for disaster, it was, and-

-CRASH!

As if on some cosmic cue, the blur ended at a tiny unicorn foal. Valen winced and had his eyes closed at the moment of impact, not wishing to see the inevitable carnage that would result from the union of Pegasus in motion and unicorn...not in motion.

Without taking a look at the scene, Valen started a healthy trot towards the site of the crash. Behind him, every once in a while, a small clutch of bits would fall out and make not a sound against the grass below.

River had looked forward to a quiet evening of emptying hapless tourist's pockets, but it seemed like that would have to wait. Chip was pretty fast, driven by unbound enthusiasm. As they reached the fairground, Chip accelerated further, toward a point that River couldn't see. She dodged the fair folk and visitors in her way, and tried her best to match his speed.

The fair grounds were bustling as always, and River gave herself a moment to take it all in. It would be easy pickings, she could tell instantly. All the happy and careless visitors, bits weighing down their clothes. Not only that, but she could instantly spot several half eaten fair food, just lying around for anyone quick enough to snatch it.

Now that the crowd cleared up a little, River saw what Chip was chasing. A group of colts and fillies where dashing across the fair ground, in hot pursuit of something. She wasn't sure, though.

What she did know was that she wouldn't be able to catch Chip like that. She would just have to chase until that group came to a hold. It was only a matter of time.

Out of the corner of her eye she saw ponies parting like a divided sea! Her mind shifted from daydreams and idle cutie mark fantasies to focusing on what ever his blur was that was suddenly inches away! What could it b-?

WHAM-O!

Pinchy only let out a cry of surprise as she was bowled over, dropping her prize bear and rolling a few feet away into the fuzzy heap, along with the blur that had collided into her. As the Cynogrif got up and recovered from the union of Cynogrif and Unicorn at high speeds, the pink was was still grounded. On her back and swirly-eyed, all she could manage was mumble "Watch out for that cart, everypony~"

As some other foals approached she seemed to come to, sitting up and rubbing her head. What a hit! The little filly didn't seem injured or upset at all, just dazed for the moment. Looking up at last to the gathering crowd of little ponies, she tried to make out which ones were actually foals and which ones were blurry doppelgangers as her eyes readjusted.

Fleet got to his feet, still dizzy after the collision, but after a quick self-assessment, he determined he was fine enough to at least stand up and walk over to the unicorn he slammed into. Who was missing her equally slammed tiny bear. A quick look around revealed the bear, now dirty, lying only a few feet away. He grabbed it with his beak and walked back over to the downed unicorn. He set the bear down next to her. "Heh, sorry about that." He gave an awkward smile, complete with him scratching the back of his head. "Are you alright? Need some help up?" He extended a claw to help her back to her hooves.

(Sorry for delays, its been a rough few days on me)

Snails galloped along, following the darting ponies as he caught up to the mango blur after it winged a unicorn foal, sending bits raining around the foal, then struck a filly he thought he recognized.

Snails cocked his head to the side "Is everpony okay?"

He moved to help the unicorn foal with his bits, sweeping some into a pile with his hoof as he looked the foals over, then did a double take when he saw Fleet "Umm hay, yer a funny looking one. Are ya a griffon?"

Valen ended his concerned trot next to the unicorn foal, who seemed to have made it through the crash with te vat majority of her physical form intact. A good sign to start things off. It would have been much worse if her body had been torn up or if her horn was found implanted in a nearby carnival attraction.

"Are you okay, Miss...?" He asked, extending his hoof out to help her out, seeing as it was the polite thing to do. There would be time to belittle that foolish Cynogriff later, though the extended claw improved Valen's opinion of him somewhat.

Only now did he notice that the bits were slowly leaping out of his saddlebag. It was just money and besides, he was sure ponies were, even now, helping to pick it up.

Blue.

Sky blue.

A few clouds.

a few more clouds.

And a whooshing noise.

A little red pegasus was free-falling from a cloud he was walking on. This little guy, Remington, had not yet learned to fly and was hoping that soon he would have the strength to. Instead he was falling. Falling fast. Falling fast... ...asleep?

Remington was indeed in free-fall, but he was not scared. He was not crying, either. He was asleep. He wore a cute smile on his face as his eyes remained closed for the duration of his plummet. As he fell, he dreamt.

Remington was flying. Flying around in Cloudsdale. He was so happy. He could do somersaults; he could do flips. He constantly flipped upside down just for the sensation of having the blood rush to his head. He began flying through rings, and zigzagging through floating obstacles. Eventually, he got to the end of the line. At the finish line of sorts, he saw a pegasus pony with an extremely large snout and bananas for wings. As Remington approached, the pegasus shouted at him while holding a bag of muffins. "Hay! HAY! Wake up!"

Remington, who was still asleep, was falling towards the Trottingham fairgrounds. An impact with the ground would surely mean death. But, as all kinds of luck would have it, Remington landed squarely on a inflated bounce house, ricocheted gently off a a few teddy bears that hung on prize stands, and made a soft impact on the dirty trail next to the crowding young-lings. Remington remained asleep through the entire life-threatening experience. He buzzed his little snores until somepony woke him up.

When she regained her senses, Ruby found not one but two ponies (or not-ponies) offering to help her up! Why not both? Reaching out both hooves, she was soon back on her... hooves... in no time! After a stumble and looking around, she just smiled. "Yup! I'm ok everypony!" Out of the corner, she saw a familiar face! "Oh, hi Snails!" she greeted gleefully, waving a hoof in the air. A classmate! Yay! But her attention soon went to the Cynogriff. A stranger! And the one who knocked her over! But she wasn't mad. Berry always taught her that a pony shouldn't get mad at accidents, and if he was offering to help her up she doubted he did it on purpose. "Are you ok? What were ya running for?" she asked with an inquisitive tilt of her head. Was somethign exciting happening (other than the fair in general)? Was he running FROM somepony? Was he running after somepony? Did he just like to run? Running was fun!

But before she could get into her friendly interrogation, there was a thud behind her! On the alert, she jumped and turned to face whatever this dastardly new challenge could possi- Oh, another pony. But he must've just hit the ground... from the sky? "Is it dead?!" the filly asked with great concern, but leaning in and poking the pegasus got her the 'no' she was hoping for... In the form of a snore!

Chip reached the group of ponies that had been pursuing the cart, excitedly jumping up and down, trying to get a better look. There had been a crash, and one of them seemed to be sleeping. He took a deep breath, preparing to make his presence noticed, as he felt a familiar set of teeth in his neck, pulling his back determinedly.

"Wotcher ffink yor doin'?" whispered River hastily "Work comes first as yer know." She looked at him with a stern expression, which usually worked pretty well, with her piercing eye and the scar over her right eye, if it wasn't for the fact that her brother was absolutely immune to it.

Grinning widely, he turned his head and announced "Wot 'appened 'ere, isit? Can we 'elp"

"Yup! I'm ok everypony!" Fleet let out a sigh of relief. "Whew, I was about to feel really bad about that." He was suddenly aware of two other ponies nearby. A tall unicorn the pink one called Snails, and an earth pony who also helped up Pink. "Umm hay, yer a funny looking one. Are ya a griffon?" Fleet turned to Snails "A Cynogriffin actually." He dismissed it with a wave of his claw, "Don't worry, just about everypony gets it wrong." "Are you ok? What were ya running for?" He turned back around to Pink "No reason, I just like running. Can't fly yet."

Just as he was about to demonstrate his flightlessness, a loud thud made him spin around. Oh, it's just a red pegasus. Asleep. That fell out of the sky. Yup, totally normal. No, wait, pegasi falling out of the sky is not normal, and they usually aren't asleep. "Is it dead?!" as Pink prodded it, and upon receiving a snore in response, another pony arrived. "Wot 'appened 'ere, isit? Can we 'elp" Fleet tilted his head, thinking."Uh, I think we got everything under control except for names. Oh! Speaking of names, I never introduced myself." He whipped back around to Pink, extending a claw. "Fleet Paw. Sorry about crashing in to you."

"Fleet Paw. Sorry about crashing in to you."

It figured that the Cynogriff would have such a name. Valen had met very few of them, but was aware of them enough to know that they were entirely too likely to have slightly militaristic names. He wasn't going to hold that against him, nor the crash; he seemed nice enough, and he was entirely correct about needing everyone to get acquanted with one another. But first, the pegasus. He had both crashed and was snoring, which led Valen to believe he had fallen asleep while flying. That wasn't right, not at all, and Valen wasted no time as he approached the colt and gently nudged him. That oughta do the trick- not wake up during a crash, wake up when nudged.

"Pegasus...err, wake up, please?" He asked kindly, more befuddled than anything. He half-turned to the others.

"The name is Valen Orange, pleasure to meet you all."

Chuga chuga chuga chuga chuga chooo choooooooo!

It was a fairly accurate term to use for the train as it rolled on by the group, decorated as it was in many of the fair's great colors, the traveling troupe within ready to burst forth and entertain all the foals and fillies, colts and the stallions with the hearts and imagination of colts they could find. It slowed down and down until, with one thunderous cathunk, it was at a dead stop.

"Hmm...?" Remington replied, and then snored a few more times. When the fair train came to a halt, it made a loud screeching noise that finally woke Remington up. "HUH...WHA?" Remington got up, looked around, and saw all of the ponies looking at him, and a cynogriffin! "Whoa!" Remington had never seen a cynogriffin before. Remington looked around and saw even more amazing things. "Holy Luna! It's a carnival!" Remington had no idea how he got here. And he didn't really care. He was just fortunate that his slumber brought him to a place of happiness. He looked at his watch. He was only asleep for a few minutes according to what he could remember and what his watch read. He always wore a watch. He never could keep track of time, being a narcoleptic pony and all. He turned towards the other ponies, all of which seemed to be his age. "Hi, my name is Remington. Um. Where are we?"

It seemed another foal was going to tend to Mr. Sleepypants, so for now she decided to make nice with the Cynogriff. She'd never met one before! She couldn't wait to tell her mother about this! She figured if she just reached out her hoof, he'd grab it and shake it. She couldn't really shake like he could. You know, lack of fingers and claws and whatnot. "Aw, it's ok! Really! And I'm Ruby Pinch, but everypony calls me Pinchy!" But then two other little ponies with neat little accents walked up! "A pegasus fell out of the sky! It's raining pegasi! But it's just one so far!" Of course she was half kidding. It wasn't raining. Silly Pinchy. "But everything's fine! I think..." Were they twins? They sure looked alike. But anyway, as far as she knew, everything was hunkey dorey.

But then... A voice! A new one!

Gasp!

The not-dead pony woke up! Pinchy smiled wide and bounced on over, giving him quite an excited greeting. "Hi there! Boy, you must be pretty lucky, falling from the sky like that?!" So his name was Remington, huh? Interesting name! "I'm Ruby Pinch, and you're at the fail in Trottingham! Isn't it neat?! I love the fair!" she happily gave the brief explanation before hunting down her long lost prize bear. She sat down and hugged it close, giving it a loving nuzzle. She wasn't gonna lose that bear again! At least within the next five to ten minutes. But there seemed to be a lot of nice and interesting little ponies around... and it wasn't all that fun wandering the fair by her lonesome now that she thought about it.

Chip jumped around excitedly, examining the wreckage and the other ponies. "Me name is Chip, right," He began "and that is me sister River." He pointed back to her. River had been busy picking up a trail of coins that she had found inexplicably just lying around on the ground. "Hi." She said shortly.

"We were 'round the chuffin' fair ground ter have some fun, right," He said cheerfully, "but this 'ave a looked more interestin'."

As his eyes darted around, he spotted the cynogriffin, and he decided to go investigate. He tugged its tail. "Wot are yer, then, eh,?" He said, genuine interest vibrating in his voice. "Never seen sumfink like yer before." He beamed brightly.

"Nice to officially meet you Pinchy!" At least, that's what Fleet would have said if another pony hadn't come up behind him and yanked on his tail! He let out a loud squawk as he whipped around again to the new greenish pony who introduced himself as Chip smiling like an idiot. "Wot are yer, then, eh?" Fleet was not amused and glared back at him. "I'm a Cynogriffin. I just said that." Fleet didn't like this new pony. He had a funny accent, but that's all he had going for him so far. The other one, his sister River, he had nothing against, yet. Unless she was exactly like Chip, then that would just be a lot of not fun. He was about to go back to talking to Pinchy, but he then saw her hugging her bear that he crashed into and decided he'll let her be. Besides, a train had just pulled up, and trains at fairs usually meant something cool was about to happen. Because trains equate to traveling, and traveling equates to fun, and math is not fun so no more equating.

Remington was elated. "This is awesome. I've never been to a carnival before. I wanna go on rides, and play games, and laugh at clowns, and... wait. Did you say Trottingham? Oh sheesh, I must have fell way off track. Actually, the last thing I remember I was walking on a cloud a good mile up from here. See, I have this problem." Remington walked closer to Ruby. He was a very friendly pony. He got along well with other ponies, especially fillies. Although he was too young to recognize romance. He just wanted to be friends. "I suffer from a condition where I fall asleep at random times. It doesn't hurt me, but its just so darn inconvenient." Rem looked around and saw the tear in the tent he made, and the knocked over prize stand with the disgruntled pony working the stand. "Well, it hasn't hurt me yet, anyway."

Remington turned to everypony, including the cynogriffon that seemed to carry all of the attention, whether he wanted it or not. "Hey guys! You all wanna go over to the merry-go-round?"

Ponies met ponies and before long, the small group had been properly introduced. There was still the matter of where the pegasus had been trying to get to when he passed out and who exactly had Valen's bits, but-

-Merry Go-Round!

"Yay!" Valen screeched, voice breaking with sincere overwhelming joy as he reared for a second before regaining himself. Valen gave a look to the ponies around him, somewhat embarassed at such an overt display of silliness. He coughed and regained his composure.

"Y-yes, err, that merry go round sure looks...fun...we should go and have the...fun!" He said, trotting towards it gaily while he beckoned with Remington for the others to follow.
