RarityDash Posted June 17, 2012 Report Share Posted June 17, 2012 Phil, Why do you hate Fluttershy so much?! Well, to be honest, I don't actually hate her. Of the mane six, she's the one I find the least interesting. To me, she just doesn't seem quite as deep and compelling a character as the others; most her episodes seem to reduce to the same basic themes and elements more so than the rest, and it seems to me sometimes that she gets by a lot just on her cuteness. It's really not hate though. She is cute, and has had some really fun, humorous moments, and some good episodes centered on her (my favorites for her are Green Isn't Your Color and Putting Your Hoof Down). I like her character okay. She's just not one of the ponies I necessarily want to see win. Link to comment

Ergo you hate her xDJoking, but well, I do believe there are other ponies out there you wouldn't like to see win too, but you'd still like to see Fluttershy win above them. Her status as one of the primary characters of the show makes her more threatening. Sure, I could go for characters I care less about, but I kind of doubt ponies like the Cake twins or Braeburn have any chance of winning this. As a main character, Fluttershy has a real chance, so she's just higher priority to me.And sure there are characters who are probably more threatening to my favorites (Rarity, AJ and Chrysalis) in this thing, but I kind of love Luna, Lyra, Bon Bon, Octavia, Vinyl and Twilight. I wouldn't be able to complain too much if any of them won this thing.That's the troubling thing about a game like this for a show like FIM, at least with me. I can honestly say I really like at least 90 percent of the characters in the show (and most of the ones I don't like aren't on the list), so when pitted against each other I may end up going aggressively after characters I don't really mind as much.And speaking of which, today's votes:Heal:Chrysalis +5Hurt:Doctor Whooves -1Hex:Fluttershy x2 Link to comment

In my case, I'm not sending hurt points toward Fluttershy at the moment (just hexes instead) since they'll only count for half. I could have sent my mandatory one hurt point toward any number of ponies. Mostly picked Doctor Whooves because he's already kind of low, and he's, quite frankly, never been a character I've really cared much about. Perhaps its my lack of any interest in Doctor Who or perhaps its just that he's a stallion, but he's one of the fandom favorites that's never really done anything for me. Link to comment
