The Equestria Games episode which goes to air today is going to bring back a lot of memories for me. Why do you ask? I was a torchbearer for the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games relay and I know what Spike is going through as he prepares for his big day. @ Zoe: Quick nailed it on the head. I lost my last shot at dash. Noir proved that once somone gets dash it's over. and now, 4 years in, every major site has a dash, this was my last chance... and I failed...

I mostly agree, except when you have conversation or a character is in a position that severely limits their actions... also longer is usually better, but Quality > Quantity and if it's all fluff that's irrelevant....

If not for the obvious "cutiemarks" ripoff (unless they say it's the "family crest" or something) I'd say it's just coincidence, since we've seen LOTS of times in the past that characters get non-canon or barely-canon pets for marketing purposes... but the marks... yeah... kinda obvious...
