1. Oh my, this has been sitting for for some time now. I'm terribly sorry I haven't replied. I got to do on a great research adventure and was unable to get to my letters. So allow me to answer this now after such a long wait. Will-o-Wisps are an interesting entity indeed. In fact various cultures believe different things about them. Basically they are a weak form of Spirit Fire. They're little balls of spectral energy that burns while floating about. It's said they are cold to the touch but can cause burns that will last for 100's of years. So you don't want to touch them. However if they feel connected to a being, he/she can touch them without ill effect. Typically swamps, forests and anywhere dark makes a perfect place for them to exist. They're drawn to areas of natural spirit energy, something we all give off, so mystical areas are more likely to have wisps around. "Swamp Lights" as they some times are refereed to, comes from a scientific explanation for these little lights, saying that swamp gas, illuminated by nearby light sources makes the illusion of wisps floating around. Now about them leading ponies to their doom... there is a yes/no answer to this. These spooks are pretty playful and harmless. Mythology does state that they are known to lure ponies to their destiny; a beacon in the darkness of our lives. However depending on what fate may have planned, this could be very unfortunate. I've heard of ponies who have seen wisps, chased them and ended up getting hurt because they were not paying attention to where they were going. On the other hoof, wisps have also been credited with saving ponies who are lost and nearing their last hopes; leading them back to civilization. Now, Spirit Lanterns, which have wisps they carry in little lanterns, tend to be the more malicious spooks. They'll lead ponies off on wild goose chases and then when they're worn down and weak, suck them into their lanterns for energy. But often times Will-o-Wisps get this reputation because they're the glowing light carried by these big beings. Oh, in fact I had an amazing adventure in the desert with Spirit Lanterns, but that is a long story and would go too far off topic. And yes, I must agree they give off a lovely light. The blue glow they're known for is rather magical. And if one gets the chance to see a bunch together, it's like being in a field of stars. Though wisps can be easily disturbed and if a pony walks in on a gathering they may scatter. So if ponies, if you think you spot some wisps, approach quietly. I never really have a problem, my natural glow-in-the-dark ability makes me blend right in with the little spooks. Anyway, thank you for your letter. Once again sorry it took me so long to respond. And to others out there, please feel free to write me. I love sharing my paranormal knowledge and stories.
2. "Oh, sorry I wasn't trying to cut in line. But since I heard her giving advice or pitching in I thought she was part of gig." Willow Wisp gave an apologetic shrug then waved her right front hoof dismissively. "Go ahead, you were here first. I actually had been dozing under the trees and woke up when I heard the three of you talking." She looked between both Cranky and Harvest and with another yawn offered an introduction, "I'm Willow Wisp. I live in that house just outside of town here that is "haunted". Course, only spook in there is the one on my flank. But I've been away on a research project for a few months and I'm just settling back in. Then again even when I'm home most ponies never see me, I'm usually sleeping all day."
3. Willow Wisp looked a little dumbstruck as he actually started to list off how long it had been since her letter arrived. But the expression dissolved into a smile as he cut himself short. She honestly had to chuckle a little under her breath. However before she knew it, she was getting pushed along into him home, and really she wasn't going to put up fight. “Ah, talk about using your head there,” she laughed once they stopped in the living room. “And thank you, I am a bit hungry. I'm pretty sure I missed the meal cart on the train.” And it was that comment she remembered she'd been sleeping in a seat and so she reached up trying to brush out her mane a little in case it was sticking out all over. Once he had joined her, the Unicorn took a moment to reach into her saddle bag, setting a little pouch on the table. “A family reunion huh? I bet that was some party. I'm sure I've missed a lot back in Ponyville while I was gone. I'll have to do a lot of catching up once I get back.” She had to blush that he mentioned wanting to take her to his family reunion. After taking a moment to enjoy a bite of her pie she turned her attention back to the little pouch she got out. “Those came from the area we were exploring. These ruins... they were just amazing! We came to the conclusion some early Unicorns must have been the dwellers and perhaps had magic that has been lost to the current world. For instance, in that pouch there are some apple seeds. They're black like any other seed but they grow these bizarre trees. In fact they look like something that should be outside my “haunted” house.” she paused to laugh. “And the apples... they're black, with this deep blue flesh on the inside. They're a bit of a tart type, but made delicious meals when we tested cooking with them. The botanist in the group dubbed them 'Black Magic' apples.” She glanced off a little sheepishly. “I... I thought you'd like having something unique for your orchard. And this best part... the magic part. These things grow like weeds. When we planted them to see how long it took for them to just crack and sprout, we had saplings within two weeks! And after two months they bared their first fruit. It would be great to see how they grow out here.” She became quiet so she could eat a bit more. Eventually, after she finished off the slice she spoke again. “This whole trip... you know I know the chance to even go to our adventure here in the desert. It was my report I submitted about it that got the attention of the research team. Sure would have been fun to have you along on this trip.”

I always struggled with making pony faces... so I took a risk and threw in the way I do expressions for comical doodles.
5. "Sorry for ease dropping, but I take it somepony... or should I say somepony and somedonkey are offering some relationship advice?" Willow Wisp had been secretly listening for quite sometime and finally decided to speak up. The spooky Unicorn was good at blending into the shadows, even in the light of day, and that's just where she had been, in the shade of a tree. Though it seemed the Griffon present was looking for a way to get away from the conversation. Perhaps he'd had enough of the free advice about his family troubles. "If you don't mind, I could use a little advice of my own." She plopped down, sitting on the ground near the bench and let out a yawn. "Sorry, I'm usually not a day-pony... but anyway..." she looked between those gathered. "Care to hear a spook out?"
6. Wisp didn't usually write letters, well not to royalty at least. She just really didn't know what she would say in such. Sure she'd submitted reports of her paranormal research to committees in Canterlot hoping for some sort of recognition or perhaps a chance to share her findings with some of the intellectual elite but that was far different than a personal letter. So she really had a hard time when it came to putting the words on the page, having stared at it for some time with just a blank expression. Eventually thought she managed to sort her thoughts and by candle light she wrote, hoping perhaps to get some advice.
7. IMMA GO FAVE THE JUNk OUT OF THIS ON MY TUMBLR WHEN I GET BACK ON THE BIG COMPY!!!! why... CAUSE THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME! <3 <3
8. Oh and she has my premission to have relation to Willow Wisp.
9. If he was worried about looking a little messy from working all day, he'd soon learn that didn't matter. Then again Wisp looked tired and her mane was a bit messy as well, but that was due to her sleeping on the train, and the sweat the desert sun brought with it didn't help. She turned hearing Braeburn's voice, smiling as she spotted him with her somewhat tired eyes. "Ah, there is a sight for these sore eyes," she chuckled lightly. "You're the first really familiar pony I've seen in a long time." Willow Wisp trotted over to meet him smiling and doing her best not to just let out a loud yawn. "It's been so long. I don't even remember exactly when I sent that last letter. But as I stood on that platform in Canterlot waiting for the short train back into Ponyville... well, I saw this one and before I knew it was curled up in my seat heading west." Her smile faded at that point and she hung her head a little sheepishly. The Stallion didn't seem like he was upset with her, even if she had basically vanished in a sense, but she still felt bad. Sure the experience was the chance of a life time but she didn't know it was going to last as long as it had. She felt like she just sort of bucked all her friends and those she cared about to a proverbial curb. "I'm sorry I wasn't able to write. We really were out in the middle of no ponies land. But, you look like you're doing well. Be working hard?" She looked up again with a small smile. "I uh... I brought you something for your farm."
10. The more I think about the timberwolves, the energy that powered them seemed almost remnisent of the "spirit" energy that brought the Spirit Lanterns to life in our old adventure rp. haha.
11. All up-to-date with current information.
12. Over all the episode was kind of boring to me, and very cliche. A typical you saved me I owe story. But what bothered me the most was the 3D Timberwolves. We already saw them during Granny Smith's flashback, so why try to one up it with animation? Especially when it was choppy and doesn't fit the rest of the show. It was jarring to watch.
13. A long and rather pathetic sigh escaped the lips of one young Earth Pony who had taken to sitting alone in the park. He watched as others ran about enjoying the sunny weather and couldn't help but feel insivible. Grim Tales had just gotten back into town; having had to move back home when his cousin Willow Wisp left on an expedition that lasted months. He couldn't even remember how long it had been exactally, only that it happened just as he was starting to feel like he fit in. He had to leave his new school, the friends he was starting to make and go back home. He didn't even really get a chance to say goodbye, and he still owed Sweetie Belle a song; he promised to write her one! He huffed out another sigh as he flopped down in the grass, his gray coat almost blending in with the shade from the tree he was lazing under. Would anyone even remember him? He was one of those quiet colts, and even when he tagged along on some of their adventures, he hardly said a word. He was just that quiet colt who was rather shy and liked to write... and never took off his saddlebags. If anything the other ponies would probably remember that. right? Cause it was weird? Grumbling he rolled over on his back and looked up at the leaves rustling in the light wind. "Maybe I can pretend to be completely new again... get in a new class and everything... just be the new colt again."
14. Old Canterlot... hahah that makes me feel like I'm some sort of mytical legend. XD
15. 'Dear Braeburn, I have the most amazing news! My report I submitted about our adventure in the desert got the attention of some researchers in Canterlot. I've been invited to join an expedition to some ruins in the far reaches of Equestria. I'll even get to submit a formal report to the Princess upon our return! Though I don't know how long I will be gone; but I'm sure it'll be an amazing trip. I'll have to write and tell you about the things I do. I hope you're doing well and that we can meet up again sometime soon. Good luck during the growing season, Willow Wisp' How many months had it been since she sent that letter? Honestly the Unicorn couldn't remember. Her adventure led her out into the wilds, and for far longer than she could have imagined. Sure it was a great experience, but it also left her far from any civilization... and that meant, no way to contact her friends. It actually made her feel rather guilty, sure that some of them were worried about her, or perhaps thought she had forgotten about them. Willow Wisp had only been back in the civiliized world for about a week. She stood at the Canterlot train station, finally getting ready to head home. She had plenty to work on, reports to write up and stories to sort, and letters to write. But as the train pulled into the station she hesitated. The Unicorn thought back to the letter she sent out before she left; one to a stallion she had had one amazing adventure with. And had it not been for that, she wouldn't have had the opertunity she did. They'd become pretty good friends and perhaps... well the last they met... she was left wondering if possibly there was more there. And that's how she ended up on a train heading into the desert rather than back home to Ponyville. It was a long ride, and one she spent most the time asleep, but once it rolled into the Appleloosa station, Wisp was up and ready to seek out the pony on her mind. Or she was; as soon as she stepped on the platform she hesitated. A black Unicorn stuck out like a sore hoof in a place like Appleloosa. And she looked a little disheveled, having slept on the train and still carrying her saddle bags from her trip. She was pretty sure she looked tired and maybe a bit lost. After all, who'd remember her? She was just a member of a rag-tag party that solved a haunted train mystery... many months ago. Guilt crept up on her again as she slowly made her way from the station into the town. It was a nice bright day, the sun making her coat heat up quickly. Great, now she'd looked worn out and be all sweaty. She wondered if Braeburn would even be happy to see her, or if he'd be upset she hadn't written in all that time. What if he had found himself a nice mare and was dating and she was just going to appear and make it awkward? Wisp wrinkled up her nose at that thought. Why did that even pop into her head? Shaking it off she finally made it to his home, or at least where she thought she remembered it being. With a nervous wiggle of her muzzle she reached out and knocked a hoof on the door. "Anypony...home?"
16. You could say that. Especially considering my main character here is a paranormal specialist.
17. About Myself: A old member who has started lurking though here again... boo. I haven't drawn ponies in a long long time. I felt like trying to draw some ponies… first set I did while looking at a guide, then the bottom two I just freehanded.
19. She had tried to relax, even nap a little, but Willow Wisp could only sit and wait. It wasn't that the party outside had been too loud, as she was use to tuning out noise being a daytime sleeper. No it was just a busy mind keeping her from settling. What could it mean, us? That word had so many meanings. Maybe Braeburn didn't want her bothering him anymore. But that seemed a little uncharacteristic of the stallion's manners. Maybe he just wanted to talk about their friendship, set some boundaries. After all she did just show up out of the blue. And she still felt like she interrupted a date even if that was unintentional. But what if it was something else completely? What if he wanted to talk about the future of the relationship...perhaps more than just friendship. The Unicorn bit her lower lip at that thought. She couldn't let her mind get too far ahead. For all she knew it could be nothing at all. She just needed to wait until they met up and spoke. But that was hard, just waiting.... waiting. Eventually she heard the party die down and she looked out window of her room. Things were clearing out, decorations coming down and ponies were heading home. She paced back and forth. Did she go out and try to track him down? He probably had walked his dance partner home, right? That was the gentlecolt thing to do. Should she just go outside and wait to see if he passed by? Did he even know where she was if he was out looking for her? Willow Wisp drew a long breath and turned to leave her room. She paused by the little mirror and adjusted her glasses before trotting off, down the stairs and eventually out in front of the building. She'd just wait for a moment or two, and if she didn't spot him, she'd try to find Braeburn at his home. Surely an apple farm wouldn't be hard to spot.
20. From the album: WillowWisp's Scribbles and Whatnot

This is the first custom thing I've ever done. I've been calling it my practice project as I'm testing out techniques on this. It's looking okay so far. The eyes are little messy but that was more a brush issue. Haha. Just waiting for the hair to come in the mail.
21. ((returns from the land of strep throat and school)) 'Talk about us.' Those words just continued to repeat in Willow Wisp's head. What did us mean? She was sure her cheeks would have been a rosey color if not dimmed by her black pelt. Her mind had floated back to the night they spent fighting dangers in the desert. And more so the event after. When it was all said and done Braeburn had given her a kiss in his excitement. But she hadn't really put too much thought to it. He was happy, as they all were, to survive the adventure. It was most likely just a reaction from that. But she'd be lying to herself if she claimed not to think about it now and then. It's not everyday that a handsome stallion just gives a mare a smooch out of the blue. She snapped from her thoughts to see Braeburn was already back in the throws of the party. She just smiled to herself. They would get a chance to talk after it was calmed down. And until then she was going to just take it easy. It had been a long train ride. She quietly made her way toward the Inn where she could relax for the time being. She'd seek out Braeburn later, if he didn't find her first. The town wasn't that big, so it wouldn't be hard to catch him and meet up again. "Us..." she mused to herself. "What could that mean...?"
22. Willow Wisp was a little unsure when she was stopped. Even with Caramel saying it was alright if the two caught up, she felt bad. It was Caramel's date and her she was getting in the middle of it. But the other mare seemed set with her decision as she let the two have a moment. "Ah yes, I wouldn't mind telling the story at all," she managed to shout after the other as she went off for the time being. Now all her attention was focused on Braeburn. He wanted to talk to her, in private? What did that mean? Well, of course it meant he had something to say, but what? It made Wisp nervous and she glanced around quickly in responce. It wasn't like there was really a private space in a big outside party. However he nodded to a place that was at least off to the side. "Oh, sure, we can talk Braeburn," she nodded shyly and trotted over to the quiet area. 'Oh man, what did I do? I hope I didn't make a big mistake showing up.'
