    Even if discord's inherent nature is spreading discord, and he cannot do anything else, from ours, and the ponies viewpoint, he is evil. He can spread discord in some other place, away from ponies, but the moment he uses his power to disassemble their society, he is performing acts of evil. As for the references about the greek gods and their inherent natures, by the morals and standards of today's society, yes, they would be a drunk, a slut, and evil respectively. But that is by todays standards. The greeks had different morals and views, their gods and ideals(one and the same, really) do not apply here. Aside from magic and magic creatures, pony culture is mostly based off a mishmash of today's human culture. This is such a lovely debate.

    Im gonna throw my two bits in and say that discord is evil. As Ginger said, anyone who messes with an others thoughts against their will is evil, especially for selfish purposes like discord's. As to him being an element of chaos needed to balance the harmony in the world, chaos and order were happening on their own, balancing the world without discord's help. But when he came along, he overwhelmed order and unbalanced harmony.

    Perhaps greed is only a fast way of a dragon growing, and maybe they age normally, albeit slowly.(Twi had spike since she was a little filly, and he hasnt gotten much bigger than he was before.) Also, he might have wings that will grow later, since the teens were making fun of him for not growing his yet, it almost seems like a sign of maturity amongst the teenage dragons, like going through puberty.

    Also, there's an undertone of Nature vs Nurture. Chances are, if spike was raised with other dragons, he would be just like them. As to why the adults didnt step in, they probably saw all of it as normal dragon behavior. After all, some of them looked up to watch the belching contest. Also, Crackle<3

    I pretty much apply a sort of agnostic philosophy to things I cant explain. Just because we cant currently prove it, doesnt mean its not real. But, in my opinion, if the supernatural exists, its probably something along lovecraft's ideas, aquatic beings living on the ocean floor in a lost city. Only about 10% of the ocean floor has been mapped, so who knows whats down there. I for one welcome our new aquatic overlords.

    My vision isnt good enough to bother with more than 720p, 1080 doesnt look much better to me. The only way higher resolution makes a difference to me is if its on a movie theater screen, where everything is big enough for my crummy eyes to make out all the details. Also, I've never understood how those sunglasses are supposed to make your vision hd. Your eyes are using the best resolution known to man, the photon. Glasses wont make them better. Supposedly they work by polarization to cut out glare, but as how that makes your vision more hd, I will never understand.

    Anywho, tell them its actually a great, entertaining show. Told my mom last night and she just laughed, and said one of her co-workers is a brony too. Chances are their reaction in your mind is worse than their actual reaction. Now dont take that completely on faith, because they might just flip their lid, but only you can judge that.

    'Smile' wins the poll for me, though if 'Perfect Stallion' had only Sweetie Bell, and was longer, it would have won. I love Sweetie Bells voice, I wish she sang more often. Favorite singing voices are Sweetie Bell Pinkie Pie Twilight Rarity others Though my all-time favorite is still 'Winter Wrap-Up'.

    I would play it just to have the equestrian army. I would love and tolerate my foes to the bitter end.

    And while it's not stated, in hearth warming eve its implied that unicorn magic cant do everything, like create food, else they wouldnt have needed the earth ponies.

    Well, all done with 'The Cat Who Walks Through Walls', now on to a new book. Im thinking bout re-reading the hunger games trilogy, what with the movie coming out soon. Just to refresh myself and see how far the movie goes off the path. Aside from that, I'll have to stop at my library and see what they've got. I read too fast for my own good

    First anime I ever saw was the dubbed sonic movie import, but the first series I watched was zoids, then pokemon, and so on. Never did get into digimon as a kid though.

    Currently halfway through reading 'The Cat Who Walked Through Walls' by Robert Heinlein. Yes, I had to break the fantasy lineup with a sci-fi novel.

    I am a fan of electronic music, but trance is my favorite type. I like quite a bit from other genres, but Im a bit more picky when it comes to them. Except maybe classical, I like most of that. Also, Rosewind, yes. SimGretina is awesome! I may or may not have all the SimGretina pony songs on my phone.

    Theres only a couple ghibli movies I havent seen, but I have yet to see one and not like it. My favorite would be Totoro, followed by the rest. I even like ponyo, even if I dont think it stands up to Hayao's other work.

    You ponies are awesome! This is the first forum group for anything that I've actually been a part of. Ive been more active here in the 3 days since I joined than I have in 3 years on other forums. I love this community, I wish I had found it and fim earlier.(been a brony since november) I am now off to re-watch 'The best Night Ever'

    Personally, I doubt I would watch the others if they got a reboot. Eureka hit the nail on the head, thats what drew me into fim too.
