1. Welcome to Canterlot. (Plain greeting for the first time, an intentional trick)
2. At your service, proud to be an inspiration for another blog entry. We all need some general randomness in our lives Tales. Life would be too boring if only the expected happened. Besides, it's one of my Canterlot traits to be linking some various music files or images. Don't be so surprised. PS: That's like a classic song made by classic Gigi D'Agostino! Shame on you!
3. Star's nerves were in disrepair as the memories of Bubbling Brook crossing lingered in her mind. She was more than certain they'd haunt her in nearing days, perhaps even weeks. Moreover, the pain in her front right leg was slowly starting to become unbearable. Pink mare was worried not to overexert it. And, if that wasn't enough yet, she felt the first signs of tiredness actually. It seemed that her mental condition was deeply connected with the physical one as well and influenced it heavily. Risi was still whole covered in droplets of water, but at least she managed to get out of the rainy area. It was a relief and plain pleasure to feel the rays of sun once more. For few short moments she could yet observe the wet trees, but finally even those were left behind. Trotting forward carefully she eventually stumbled across an opening: wide and wild grasslands. A slight sigh of awe was released as she noticed the contrast between such a peaceful, charming area and the brute, magnificent force of raging stream. It was exactly what she was dreaming of right now, a cherry on top of her wishes. Star slowly walked off from the track and made it a few meters into the grasslands. She lied down on the green carpet, turning her backs at the road and gazing into distance. A simple alternation of levitation spell allowed her to give herself a magical massage of bad leg, currently covered in sparkling azure aura. A short break was just what she had required, both to dry up and regain clear senses. Pink mare allowed her thoughts to drift away slowly, observing the wildlife somewhere in front of her. The leaves won't run away either way... And right now she just needed to relax after the trauma. She could still feel her limbs shaking from time to time... It was just a shame Imperio couldn't be here with her. She kinda missed talking to the little guy. "Little." - she laughed joyfully at that silly remark - "He's like the size of my head at least." - the feeling of loneliness made Star think of her sister. She couldn't resist feeling she should have dragged the second Star along into the event. Least she'd have company...
4. (Rope, of course. Tough to win with the river.) The situation was drawing itself in gray colors as the race continued through the Whitetail Woods. An earlier drizzle, which seemed to be quite refreshing actually, boiled over into a truly catastrophic storm, least in Star's opinion. The fatal weather, horrible wet terrain and doubts born with her lack of knowledge of race track successfully slowed her down. Mare's mane was whole sticking to her body already, leaving an unpleasant feeling while running. She kept wondering who's responsible for all of this. In her entire life she had never witnessed such an incompetence coming from the weather pegasi staff. Official event accompanied by stormy clouds and "tiny waterfalls"... Being a city mare, Risi strove away from rain. She felt most comfortable in the warm rays of sun, provided to them by their beloved Princess Celestia. But today there was no possibility of avoiding getting wet obviously. Although her morale dropped significantly, she continued the race. The apples she had consumed strengthened her a bit, but in end consciousness caught up to her, as she accused herself of thievery again. Somehow back then the idea seemed, at least for a moment, pretty harmless. Now this memory only damped her mood. It cast a shadow on her experiences from the event so far. If it wasn't raining, Risi could probably hear the thundering echo coming from somewhere in front of her current location, further down along the road. That's why it took her a minute or two to reach the location in which once stood bridge. As she approached the rampaging river, she slowed down, slipping in the mud and barely maintaining her balance. The raw forces of nature taunted her as she walked in circles observing the majestic and fearsome sight. She haven't even noticed when somepony approached her. "The bridge is out, follow down along the river for an alternative passage via ropes." - her ears somehow managed to fish out this information from between all the noise around her. She threw a generous smile at the race coordinator following it with a simple reply: "Thank you!" - before continuing her run, this time a bit off track, along the stream. "Ropes? Well, rope bridge should also work somehow, although it'll be more of a challenge I guess." The river flowing next to her was quite a frightening phenomenon, but she did everything to suppress her fears. She couldn't break now, not when she's gone so far. Not mentioning that giving up was out of question. As she finally reached the mentioned 'alternative solution', she couldn't express all the doubts that immediately appeared in her mind. By saying ropes the coordinator, obviously, meant ONLY ropes. There was not a single trace of any other bridge. It seemed the only way across was to swing above the stream. It was a bit of relief for her to see different ponies making it on the other side more or less safely. Her only chance to make it across was to try before the wave of fear, doubts and hesitation floods her mind. Yet, her nervousness had to find a way out of her body... "ReallyAreTheyAllNuts..." - the speed with which those words were thrown out of her made them barely understandable. "...ThosePegasiDon'tEverDoTheirJobs..." - Risi ran towards the ropes, partially ignoring everypony around. She was focused entirely on the task ahead of her... again. "...IDon'tWantTo...CelestiaHelp..." - a single crack in her voice appeared as she levitated the rope and approached the stream. "...ReallyThisIsRidculous!Don'tYouThink!?..." - she threw towards two orange mares whom she had joined at this side of river. Star couldn't help the feeling that for them she looked like a buzzing fly. Without wondering and waiting any longer, she tied the rope engulfed in azure aura next to the others on a solid tree branch (what took her a few seconds, she wasn't an expert on knots), grabbed it between the teeth and jumped forward. In that very moment her heart reached her throat, as pure panic appeared in her eyes. For a quarter of second Star accused herself of complete recklessness and stupidity, barely resisting an urge to shout. Yet, in a matter of seconds everything was done. Above the ground, she let go of rope, falling on her side painfully. Star didn't allow herself to move a single muscle, trembling in fear and emotions, feeling her heart beat like a crazy and hissing from an impulse of pain coming from her right front hoof. "Sweet Celestia... Good mother... never more... Why...?" - she whispered in a weak voice as spouts of water flowed down her body as she breathed heavily. Finally, she found strength to stand up slowly, even though she was still shaking... Throwing a look at the stream again she realized she was on the other side... pure insanity... Star started praying there wouldn't be any more surprises like this one.
5. I didn't know where to place this comment, therefore: Of all the best ava- *Shoves Rarity references away remembering who's he addressing* Seriously, LM, that current avi of yours takes unquestionable lead in the D'aaaawh rankings, effectively giving me a heart attack.
6. Oh you little! I call for incredibility of judg-... ...wait, it's not even an official event xD *Shrugs and wa- I mean, gallops away* See you on the finish line!
7. And we are proud that Mane is a part of this community. Anyway, I doubt there are reasons to be worried. Even quite recently we had Tales taking care of NMNight. Now there's Steel's unofficial Running of the Leaves. As long as official events are fun, the community can organize its time effectively Good hearing from you though.
8. Unfortunately for her, Star didn't have many occasions to fulfill her plan. Everypony who approached the apple trees always left only after gathering them all. It seemed as she wasn't the only one who didn't want to waste the delicious treat. There was just one exception, a dark mare wearing a cloak. Although the apples were quite a sinful temptation, Risi was skeptical about the means used to reach them. The rumors said that leaves were supposed to be removed manually, not magically. But pink mare didn't know the exact details. Was the magic completely disallowed? Or only when it came down to fulfilling the traditions? She spared a bit of time for this thought before finally making a decision. An expression of determination appeared on her face as she cantered forward, partially ignoring the crimson-maned mare's generous offer. After few seconds, she directed herself towards one of nearby trees. A quick flash of memories appeared in her mind... she was back home, in Manehattan. And discovered that her sister once again 'borrowed' her photographs, never to give them back. It was that day wh- "No!" - she cut her own thoughts short swiftly. "I won't let this memory cripple me down again." - she focused solely on her task and a tree in front of her. It was it or her, nothing else mattered, the moral aspects were left behind. She stopped in front of the tree, focusing not to slip on wet grass, and measured it with sight. Suddenly, she turned around and delivered a mighty strike with her back hooves. "Hay'yah!" - her war cry, mighty, loud, terrifying, intimidating... all those words should never be used to describe that sound. In her mind, anypony would be scared of it. In reality, they'd probably smile in awe of her highly pitched, melodic voice. The force she had put into the kick was tremendous! Star would never suspect herself of having so much strength, the feeling was incredible! So was the result. An unbelievable amount of TWO apples decided to surrender to her fierceness. Any regular apple bucking pony would probably laugh at the outcome. But she had won! To her, the two apples falling from the tree meant complete and utter success. Well, maybe to an extend, since one of those fell directly on her head. After a single "Ouch!" exclamation, she peered down at them. A wide smile appeared on her face. Without further hesitation she levitated them, hoping this kind of use of magic is allowed, and turned back to return to race. She was bursting with pride, as she couldn't stop herself from announcing her achievement to the runners: "I did it!" - and laughing cheerily afterward. Her strong voice pierced through air. She felt like a filly, who had just completed a great challenge. Levitating one apple nearby, she took a bite at the other one while trotting steadily back towards the running group. She wasn't prepared for an explosion of its taste. It was probably the most delicious one she had ever tried. None coming from the shop could stand a chance against it. All these experiences were a great springboard from her daily routine. She didn't feel so alive in ages...
9. The gate... was at least, well... Ardent was ready to agree it wasn't a gate anymore. Seeing how the bars got nearly removed from existence... He had to admit, that was some impressive force with which the griffon rammed into the gate, but judging from his condition he didn't seem to have noticed it at all. The embassy staff wouldn't probably be happy with this event at all, of that Ardent was sure. Still, griffon's response caught him off guard. "Did he really just...? ...No, it must have been my imagination." - Will wasn't too keen on believing that somepony just boasted about winning a duel against the steel gates. Still, what happened next made his blood boil. The careless griffon simply bowed down to use his armor... as a mirror!? From all the things that held any meaning to Destrier, his armor was simply saint. A relic, one would say. It reminded him about his past, his values, promises and pledges. And it was desecrated just like that? But before he even managed to formulate his response, he was spoken to once more: "You may resume your duties pony. Nothing to see here, well besides that dragon over there." This was probably the straw that broke the camel's back, as Will understood he was just mistaken with REA. Evoking anger in Ardent was an art itself. But the griffon struck the two most vulnerable points at the very start. "Duties? And who do you think you are that you can order me around?" - he started in strict, cold voice, completely ignoring the part in which he mentioned a dragon. As if Will was going to listen to some random ramblings of a random, crazy griffon. "I wouldn't spare you even a moment of my precious time even if you were the son of the ambassador himself!" - his face was an expression of pure sternness. In that very moment, a dark mare unicorn approached the griffon. Will caught eye contact with her by accident. It seemed as if she was trying to intimidate him, but aged stallion was already experienced with his life. It wasn't the first attempt. Will blew a raspberry and directed his steps beyond the gate. As he passed it, he heard the griffon was addressed as Sir, moreover, was implied to be a son of ambassador. Will laughed heartily at this remark, wondering if the mare had heard his earlier words and took them as granted. He threw behind his shoulder: "And that 'Dragon' standing out there is in fact Princess Cadance herself!" - without further hesitation, he made his way into the embassy. Truly, the royal city of Canterlot was a home to some really weird personalities... He didn't have time for this. [OOC: As for this point, you may consider Ardent leaving the area. There is a reason behind this ]
10. The steady pace seemed more than satisfying to her. Pale pink mare was initially concerned if she'd be able to keep up with all those veteran ponies taking part in this race, but her determined preparations paid off eventually. She enjoyed the run so far, even though the pesky weather worked against the participants. But Star herself wasn't capable of noticing it... She kept observing in awe... Observing the cascade of multicolored leaves falling around and behind them. To a mare who spent her entire life in cities, that magnificent view was something she was never going to forget. It was like a banquet to her artistic senses, a source of limitless inspiration and fantastic ideas. She could already feel the creative energy flowing through her. Yet, no matter how hard would she try, she couldn't ignore the droplets of water falling from the sky. At this rate, her mane would soon start to soak. As long as she didn't mind it yet, she knew that shall this trend continue, she'd earn an additional handicap in the race. She always liked keeping her mane and tail long, but this one particular time it might have been a mistake. But as for now, she just kept moving forward. It was highly unlikely that wet mane would annoy her more than the number 'eleven' tied to her flanks though. The feeling it gave while running was most uncomfortable. Risi didn't have a chance to study the race track maps carefully, but she remembered some details. Judging from the apple trees they kept passing by, she believed they were somewhere around the... "Sour apple acres? Sweet apple plains...? Celestia forgive me, I can't remember..." - her thoughts drifted around the issue for a moment, until she noticed an apple juice and cider stand. That made her frown a little in thought. For a short moment she considered stopping by, but she quickly realized she wasn't thirsty at all. Besides, seeing how chilly the weather might become, the last thing she'd need after the race was soar throat and general illness. She shook her head brushing off this idea. There was but one peculiar sight that caught the glimpse of her eye. Somewhere in the distance in front of her a light purple pegasus mare broke away from the group. She swiftly struck one of the half-leafless trees, forcing a few apples to fall. After gathering them, least that's what Star assumed had happened since she was too far to judge correctly, she returned to the race. Risi turned her head to take a closer look at the trees. She wouldn't mind taking a bite on a juicy apple or two... But what did she know about techniques used to force the trees into submission? With what force one had to strike? Under which angle? Was there any particular part of the tree which was more vulnerable than the other parts? Mare gave up on the idea. She just didn't posses the required knowledge and skills. Taking a note to self to diversify her horizons, she decided that the only outbreak of events she could account for was to somepony else strike a tree and throw down more apples then initially intended. She could just grab one laying on the ground then. And this way nopony would even accuse her of thievery! After all, it wasn't her property and it would be a shame to waste tasty apples... "Guess I don't have any other options left." - she thought as she made corrections to her speed, lowering it a bit. She started observing the participants carefully, hoping for her plan to be carried out somehow...
11. Flim & Flam. I still consider their song to be one of my favorites, and through the rest of episodes there were still capable of entertaining me with their personalities/approach/swift mood changes.
12. Say wut!? o.o'
13. After I've spotted this topic, I've started searching for an appropriate song. It took some time, but finally, my quest comes to an end. >.> <.< >.>
14. Volt

Filly-shy

"Hmm, and what's that? Another Fluttershy art?" *Opens to get a closer look* *Notices the butterfly in eyes* *Notices the level of detail*
15. Auto-fixed, or somebody fixed it when I wasn't looking. Thread may be locked.
16. I must admit, questioning the aesthetics sense of Rarity gave me a good laugh I will haunt you nevertheless! ~ Until you rate that sig 5/5!
17. [#CSTART-6] The IP.Chat room limit has been reached. You will not be able to join the chat room until some users first leave. It would all be understandable, if not the fact that even if all currently active users on site would enter the chat, there wouldn't be enough of them to hit the limit in the first place. Can anybody else enter it? Or perhaps it's just a problem coming from my side? Or maybe this service was ditched as well? I seek information.
18. LM! Rarity's mane is purple! You little~!!! DX 'No GAK zone.' You're doing it wrong. Exaggerated! That's the word I've used in the first place. Exactly the same. Although you like... hovered over the Creative Threads section. ._.
19. Last thing I was expecting to see here was House MD. (Says the Tywin Lannister) Welcome to Canterlot. Also, yes... MacGyver... The show of my youth, my personal hero back then.
20. I agree with above. Although it's Silmarillion. You've lost 'L'. It was a really tough book to read, but quite entertaining. Yet, I still consider Sombra to be a poor villain. If any at all. EDIT: Correction, both of users above me lost "L" xD
21. Really? You two are quite dominating the topic. Therefore, since not much changed since last time I was here, I'll go for LM if you don't mind Link. Catchy quote, although in unknown circumstances. Guess it's similar to BBS' quote. Though I find Folarin cut both from bottom and top a bit out of place. Unless it would be a dramatic zoom onto eyes, it a bit breaks the effect imo. Gains a strong 4.23
22. I feel like my words and message is being completely misinterpreted
23. That, and that. We need to remember the show is directed at any audience you'd pick randomly from world's population. I can't see how introducing slavery, strict will of destruction, tortures and all these kind of stuff is directed at children. This villain is a complete mistake to me in terms of show age categories. Along with the way he finished, which was also quite controversial. That's why I cannot accept Sombra, Some Bro, Sombrero as a villain worthy of MLP. Due to various sources proving my words and beliefs were wrong, I feel obliged to withdraw from my opinion.
24. Just a Game of Thrones addict ._. That's true, I do have an idea, but I accept a lot of deviations. If I was the one doing it, I'd push myself for it to be perfect. But since I'm not, my tolerance to differences from the original idea is quite wide ^^. Sounds like one of my friends ._. I've borrowed a game from him about 13 years ago. Once or twice in 6 months periods I remind him of it and promise I'll eventually find it at last and bring it back xD Anyway, will be waiting for any doubts or questions or anything. Take your time LM.
25. I don't understand ANY. SINGLE. PART of it. But I believe there's a meaning hidden somewhere to you, therefore I'll give it 3.75/5. It would earn 4 if not the Frodo part, no idea why though ._.
