Anyway, what I was getting to was that no matter how good your gun is at concealing you, if you lack the skills to conceal yourself, or if your gun is accurate but you can't shoot true, your gun is not a sniper rifle. I then went on to talk about what would constitute a sniper rifle, and if certain rifles can never be sniper rifles.

If you want to call a pistol or an AK-47 a sniper rifle, fine, but if the gun's not rifled or would make long-range, concealed use difficult, like the AK's huge mags and lack of flash concealment, it really shouldn't be one, no matter how many scopes you slap on it, or who's behind it.

Well, a rifle is a binary thing. Either the barrel is rifled or it isn't. However, a sniper rifle is just a term that people created for a rifle that a sniper uses for high accuracy. That would be a sniper's rifle, wouldn't it? Due to the fact that rifles have been around for about three hundred years and were only given existence by mankind, you can, in fact, designate a certain type of rifle-bore carbine as a sniper rile. ^_^
