Starting with the Fillydelphia, the touring fashion show will hit a variety of locations, hitting different cities with different themes. But this isn't just any fashion show- while the meaty part of the show is still the fashion walk, there will be photo shoots, small black and white commercials and programs, dances, and other activities designed to shake things and increase the fame and glamour of the proceedings. And you can take part in this as well!Are you a designer? A model? A pony with a creative spark, or just somepony who wants to be around the inevitable wackiness? There are few hard and fast roles beyond designer and model, which means that the limit is your imagination. All these ponies will be split up into several "acts", each of which is led by a single designer. That designer can then decide what to do with those he or she leads. While a walk up and down the stage is required, maybe there will be a small dance to showcase the clothes in a unique setting, a song to show off the models, a photo shoot to showcase designs you couldn't fit into the show, or maybe you want to shoot a projector film for distribution to the rich and famous.Regardless of what you decide to do, the key is that while there will be plenty of fun interaction between acts, each act operates on it's own.How Equestrian Fashions OperatesIn between cities there will be threads about the journey. Maybe sometimes interesting things happen. Perhaps other times it is simply a leisurely thread. Depending on activity, more than one thread may be made, with secondary threads splitting off of the main to give certain storylines time to flow. These threads are time sensitive: They expire when the next travel thread starts.Once we arrive in a city, two threads will go up automatically. One is a general thread and chatter during the show itself thread, while the other is the show itself. The show thread has a time limit for an act; once the time limit is up, the master of ceremonies announces the next act. Once all acts have been finished, the show ends and the general thread becomes the post-show thread. From there, there is a small time limit: Once that time limit expires, the next travel thread starts, meaning the locking of the show thread, general thread, and original travel to the location thread. Once again, threads may be made to spin off of the main threads: Maybe a photo shoot as part of the act turns into something big enough on it's own, or perhaps two ponies are too busy seeing the sights of the big city and run into trouble trying to make it to the show.Equestrian Fashions is flexible. While threads are closed to keep the timeline going, any secondary threads made by users to further storylines will not be interfered with. In theory, this means you can continue *anything* that has been locked- it just won't be what we're currently on!Who Can JoinThe doors are open to just about anypony who is interested. The fashion tour is a bit different as it is initially about clothes for fillies, but this can easily grow to mares, stallions, colts, griffons- if you can think it, they can make it work! If you have a pony who needs to model for the money, loves the job, is trying to get a dancing career going, writes, is an artist- the limit is your imagination. A good designer will see who he or she has in their act and build around that.CrossoverWhile each acts will work separately, this does not mean you cannot work *together*. Whether it is Photo Finish or Rarity, Valen or somepony else, should the RPers want to work together there is no actual barrier to it. She could even sell to the fashion designers some of her fake gems for use on dresses. PS: Later on, I may decide to insert Moondancer as a model too.
