Welcome to the official Canterlot.com Roleplay Awards!

It's been our honor since the founding of this site to play host to many excellent roleplays, fantastic posts, funny characters, and great moments. These have helped define us and have made Canterlot.com the best Friendship is Magic roleplay experience in all of the internet-land. Now we are pleased to give recognition to the best and brightest that have humbled us with their presence. With that in mind the official Canterlot.com Roleplay Awards will commence.

How does this work?

Simple. You nominate a post, thread, roleplayer, or character for an award, and the staff will decide whether or not the nomination is worthy of an award. These nominations and awards are ongoing- there is no time table for them, no cut off date. These will be the simple Roleplay Awards.

Every quarter, those who have won awards will be grouped together to compete in an Quarterly Awards Ceremony, which is a public vote. Every quarter, or three months, there will be an awards ceremony. Once a year, the winners of the Quarterly Awards are grouped together to compete in the Annual Roleplay Awards. This is also a public vote, and the winners are crowned the best of the year's winners.

How do I nominate?

Link the relevant information in your post. What is relevant information?

For posts- Just the link to the post in question, as well as who wrote it.

For characters- The application and character log.

For threads- Link to the thread, as well as why it should win.

For players- Link to the player's log, as well as content, and anything else you feel is pertinent.

You may have one nominee per category OR six nominees total in a quarter.

What are the awards?

The following is a list of the awards. Note: In order to win an award for characters, the character must be used currently in WoE by the player who is nominated.

Great Roleplay- A thread that shines above the rest as the beacon of quality roleplay that Canterlot is proud to stand behind.

Great Comedic Roleplay- A thread that makes Canterlot guffaw the most.

Great New Roleplay- A thread that has just started but is looking fantastic.

Great Legacy Roleplay- A thread labeled finished/over/closed that was incredible.

Great Adventure Roleplay- A thread that portrays the adventurous spirit of roleplayers the best.

Great Ship- An awesome ship in World of Equestria.

Great Developed Friendship- A fantastic friendship developed through Roleplay.

Incredible Post- An awesome post that showcases what we're looking for in a post.

Awesome Roleplayer- A poster who has enriched the roleplay the most with activity and quality posts, characters, and roleplays.

Fantastic New Roleplayer- A poster who has joined in the year of 2013 who has added the most to the forum roleplay. (Must have joined within three months of being nominated)

Beloved Inactive Roleplayer- A poster who no longer roleplays who has helped make Canterlot what it is. (Must have been inactive for more than three months)

Awesome Cast Roleplayer- A player who plays his or her cast characters the best.

Great Cast- The cast character whose impact is felt the most and played well.

Great Inactive OC- A character that was awesome but has not posted in more than six months.

Great Pegasus- The best Pegasus OC.

Great Unicorn- The best Unicorn OC.

Great Earth Pony- The best Earth Pony OC.

Great Creature/Other- The best OCs of all non-ponies.

Quarterly Awards:

Pathfinder and the City of the Griffons: Probably the most epic adventure RP that makes great use of our location lore.

100 Country Kisses: Great example of a open thread revolving around one cast pony.

Constellations and Their Relation to Doing Dishes, Or Crescent’s Guide to Marriage: Married life doesn’t get enough love, but this is a superb example of a RP about a married couple.

Great Comedic Roleplay:

Apple Bloom’s Big Day: CMCs + bad cider? What can possibly go wrong?

Adventures in Foalsitting: Again, where the CMCs go, misfortune tends to follow.

Hugs! Hugs! Free Hugs!: Bone-crushing hugs will always be funny.

When Life Gives You Melons: Conspiracy nuts are also a reliable source of laughs.
