I've always found it fun to take the lyrics of songs and change them to something different. The other day I decided to do it again, but this time, with pony-themed lyrics. Thus, my parody journey began. Over the past two days I have done three parodies so far: Changeling with Alicorn Wings [smashing Pumpkins Parody] http://eqbeats.org/track/3131 Naturally Beautiful Mare [Doors Parody] http://eqbeats.org/track/3132 A Thousand Years [David Bowie Parody] http://eqbeats.org/track/3136 (This one I'm especially proud of. It sounds the best of the three so far, quality-wise) And I'm probably going to keep on making them. I'm having a blast doing it, and I hope you find them interesting as well. i made a song parody i was wondering if you could look at it is a parody of thr the devil went down to Georgia Discord went down to Ponyville. He was lookin' for a soul to corrupt. He was in a bind 'cause he was way behind. He was willing to make a deal When he came across this young mare sawin' on a cello and playin' it hot. And Discord jumped upon a window and said "filly, let me tell you what." "I bet you didn't know it, but I'm a cello player, too. And if you'd care to take a dare I'll make a bet with you. Now you play a pretty good cello, filly, but give Discord his due. I'll bet a cello of gold against your soul 'cause I think I'm better than you." The filly said, "My name's Octavia, and it might be a sin, But I'll take your bet; and you're gonna regret 'cause I'm the best there's ever been." Octavia, rosin up your bow and play your cello hard. 'Cause Hell's broke loose in Ponyville and Discord deals the cards. And if you win you get this shiny cello made of gold, But if you lose discord gets your soul. Discord opened up his case and he said, "I'll start this show." And fire flew from his fingertips as he rosined up his bow. And he pulled the bow across the strings and it made an evil hiss. And a band of changelings joined in and it sounded something like this. I think that it’s amazing when that show comes on! I think it's funny when they tell the punch line dumb! I know it gets me, so I’ve let my walls come down, down! Before I watched it, I was a wreck! The things were kinda heavy, it brought me to life! Now every single morning, I watch ponies on the Hub, on the Hub! Let's watch it on Netflix tonight! Tolerance, with love! I had fun coloring this one, although I had to experiment around a little. The first thing one may notice is that I kept the lines black instead of colorized, it seem to make more sense with the crosshatching and conveying intensity; at the very least that was my experiment's hopeful result here. It also made more sense to shade with this piece as it better portrayed the homage idea (normally as you have seen, pony art, at least mine, are flats usually, like on the show). The tears and bloody nose are also directly from the anime clip.
