  1. I consider G3 Rarity a prick because she's the kind of idiot that takes everyone down with her to the point of almost crashing what is basically their religion because the instructions of do not touch are to much for her to comprehend. Worse, in a story with not so much conflict as much a minor setback, 3 ponies are almost killed and as it turns out, she could have gotten home easily all along. I'm sorry but her sheer stupidity is well below my level of understanding. There's making mistakes, and then there's... that.
  2. Without the show, my guess would be somewhere between G2 and G3. Completely shallow, pointless, eye piercingly pink, the return of Rariprick (G3 Rarity), yet has some amount of substance. Evident by the pink Celestia toy.
  3. Hello everybody, I'm updating to announce this blog will no longer be updated and I will be using a Tumblr account in it's place. This is mainly to help get word around to a broader audience than a single forum. This tumblr page will be updated daily in smaller amounts, and will be recapping most of the stuff already covered in this blog along with brand new material not covered. It will also act as an ask a pony blog, with Beanseh slowly leaking out information until the game's release. If you are interested, please visit The Beanseh Report by clicking the link and feel free to ask a question.
  4. The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy Song. It's classy, catchy, a wonderful nod to classic musical, and Rainbow Dash really makes it work.
  5. Can't say I agree, but you do have a valid point there. I would like to note I never said my opinion was fact, I just find dark brown to be a color that doesn't mix well with brighter colors.
  6. In Luna Eclipsed, Sweetie Belle is dressed like Dracula and Scootaloo's the wolf man, meaning they do exists within the show's canon in some context. Whether they are fictional characters within the show, actual sentient beings, or an urban myth, or even of humanoid shape, it's currently up in the air. As for me, I want to see a fishman, like the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
  7. When bronies upload videos of themselves walking around torturing innocent bystanders by shoving FiM in their faces. - I'd like to note It makes me so happy when the top comments are along the lines "please leave our fanbase". When bronies can't take a joke, like that video with Bobby from King of the Hill becoming a brony. When an unfunny meme starts on Ponibooru, like "What if Gummy Was" and the "Rabbid Idiot Brony". When arguements over the term pegasister comes up, seriously, why do people care about this? When humanized ponies with hair that doesn't match dark skin have dark skin. Seriously, Rarity's bright purple hair does not look good with dark skin.
  8. Lesson Zero was just funny as hell and a nice self parody. Cutie Pox was simply an episode where everything was done right. Putting Your Hoof Down... Violent Fluttershy is best Fluttershy.
  9. Among the playable roster are 2 OCs, one of them being Hawkeem the Griffin Sage. Name: Hawkeem Race: Griffin Description: Hawkeem's an old griffin whose once dedicated his life to protecting the innocent and training future heroes. He specializes in using magic tablet called Runes and uses his wisdom to solve most of his problems. Personality/Relationships: Over the years he's become cynical, lazy and apathetic over the years, often taking advantage of schmucks willing to do his dirty work. He still keeps a good relationship with civilians and still gives advice to those that need it, even if everyone thinks of him as a washed up has-been. He was never close to anyone except his former students, who all unfortunately met early ends due to the dangers within the kingdom. He also has a very negative relationship with Czar, the griffin king, who he considers a nag. If there is something he is not thrilled about, it's the idea of taking in anymore students. Overall, he's a friendly guy, just introverted and lazy. Role in the Game: Hawkeem is a playable character and takes the role of co-main character. Being an OC, he can develop as a character without classing with canon. He joins the party in Chapter 5 (early in the game) and explains the Rune System. Gameplay Mechanics - Rune Attacks: After Hawkeem attacks, he'll immediately do a second attack using a rune. There are 5 different variants he may use, the weakest having the highest chance, the strongest having the lowest. Also 3 of them are unlocked from the start, so you will have to work for them.
  10. The Lorax = Anti Capitalist Propaganda Pokemon = Evolutionary Propaganda and Satanism Spongebob = Gay Propaganda Harry Potter = Witchcraft and Satanism Naruto = Telling Kids to Bury Each Other MLP FiM = Welfare Leeches Same garbage, different day.
  11. Along with practise and equipment, if you want to really evolve as an artist, you must find your identity. You need to find some signature within your work that will let anyone identify it as you, like the work of Yo****aka Amano, the original artist behind Final Fantasy. Check out his work, you will never forget his style.
  12. I love animation, anything and everything about just interests me. While I'd be lying if I called myself an anime fan, I have come across an occasional one I've enjoyed. However, I'm more into American/Canadian/European cartoons. I just feel they are faster, more entertaining, and really, just more culturally relevant to me. Because of this, my vote is on cartoons, even if anime is the same thing with different standards.
  13. I'm not into shipping, but Lyra and Bon Bon comics tend to be some of my favorites. Also as a joke, Madam Le Flour with anybody.
  14. While I will say this was my least favorite episode, right under Over and Barrel, I must say it actually had some decent qualities. For example, the RD Fanclub was a nice touch, and so was her heroic acts around Ponyville. What I do feel, is that the episode's climax was way to predictable and it overall was just not that fun. To describe it, act one - Rainbow Dash is a hero, act two - Mare Do Well is better, act three Rainbow Dash learns a lesson. It just lacks the fun the other have, and I really feel it missed a chance to create something great.
  15. So the game's been coming along all much faster than usual, and over the last 3 days, I've completed 4 characters, and finished half of a brand new one over the course of 4 hours. Because of this, I might be in the Alpha stage much sooner than expected, once I complete every character, design their rune system and get enough music to begin development. Who knows, I might have beta testing as early as mid-July! 1 - Rainbow Dash's Fly Ability Earlier versions of Rainbow Dash had so choosing the Fly command would just open up an alternative command list upon her next turn. This was lame, so very lame. I wanted an ability that mimicked the nature of the Kain's Jump from Final Fantasy 4. After much head banging an tearing out my hair, I have finally accomplished it. Now, when Fly is chosen, she will instead disappear from battle for two turns, and then strike dealing 220% damage. While not great considering it takes 3 turns to do this, it's Rainbow Dash we're talking about, her speed makes up for it. It should be noted it is still very glitchy. I hope to fix it before the Vanilla version is released, but promises are not being made, the RPG03 system fought me to get this far, I don't know how much further I can take it. 2 - Big Macintosh's Heroic Wind Big Macintosh is the most straight forward character in the game. He has an high stats overall and a power up he can't utilize, and you know what, I'm just fine with that. However, I decided to give him a gimick to keep him useful to his more diverse allies. He actually gets stronger as he takes damage. The lower his HP, the more he takes. 3 - Iron Will and Gilda's Rage While I'm trying to make every character unique, some of the character not in the mane party will share abilities, like the Rage command. How rage works, is that the character will automatically attack 4 times. Essentially it's Applejack's Combo command but it doesn't need to build up. the catch, however, is that after using Rage, the character will lost half their HP and enter a resting state for 5 turns. In the resting state, the character's defense in halved, but they will regain 5% of their HP every turn. Because of this, they are vulnerable to enemy attacks, and even after recovery, are missing 25% of their health. While an extremely deadly technique, it is a double edged sword that should be used sparingly. 4 - Sweetie Belle's Packing Heat!! 5 - What's Left A few characters still need special abilities and I plan on redoing all of Twilight's Solar Magic animations and Fluttershy's Summon animation. After that, they will need to be rebalanced to avoid god-tier parties. I want the player to use their favorites, not the best, afterall. I still have a few glitches to fix, and after that, I'll finally have all the characters completed. Afterwards, I'll start designing the enemies, the maps and getting music, then I'll be in the Alpha stage. I'd like to note the original version to come out will be a Vanilla edition, and I do plan on making an updated version based on player input. 6 - What am I Going to Do I'm gonna take a bloody break. 3 days, no working on the game. I'm done... for now. -------------Next Update will be on an OC-------------
  16. Thanks, it's taken a lot of work, but I think it's going to pay off.
  17. Okay let me list this sucker: The Animation - while not exactly on par with 1933's "The Mad Doctor" it's paced almost perfectly. The movements are all smooth and imaginative, and at time it's obviouse the animators have worked over time in order to complete the project. It really shows when placed next to a shoddy show, like Johnny Test. The Art - while part of the animation, I feel this is something to point out on it's own. For the lack of a better term, the art is gorgeous. The characters have extremely expressive designs and the backgrounds are both simple yet very complex if you take the time to appreciate it. It's also one of the few shows to take advantage of the merchandise driven genre, in that many buildings just scream toyline, but I don't care because they look so good. The Characters - Each character is... a character! They all have different traits that make them so much fun to watch interact. Even more, they expand greatly out of their architypes. Rarity, that character I thought would be that annoying punk that never shuts up about fashion, wound up being my favorite character for crying out loud. Just when you think you know one character, they suddenly do something different. Pinkie Pie might be overly playful, but she always has a different reaction to every situation. Even further, they are flawed, not the BS Hollywood flaws like bad grades that have no effect on the plot, but rather ones that are always present and at times even conflict with their strongest virtue. These are like Rarity's greed vs he generosity. While lower browed individuals may see it as a plot hole and out of character, I see it a human. I can relate to a human, not the Hollywood Hero Bot model 3.45. The Setting - Equestria is a good example of how to do a fantasy world right. It's rather easy, but many have failed to do it. How do you do it you may ask? Well quite simply... YOU DO NOT JUST GIVE MIDDLE EARTH A PAINT JOB AND YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FANTASY ELEMENT AND MAKE YOUR OWN WORLD. Equestria always has something new and unique to it. Sure it takes pre-established ideas, like Cerberus, but it also has the decency to use them in original ways. Not only that, but sometimes it's obvious the writers did a little research before hand, did you know Ahuizotl is an actual mythical creature? That's dedication. The Writing - This show is actually the only show I can name where I could go on a longer rant to critique every single episode. There has yet to be a single episode that left me in a true state of meh, and even Over a Barrel and Mare Do Well, two episodes I absolutely hate, leave an impression. In my book, it's better to be so bad I hate it, than so okay it's forgettable. This is all achieved through it's clever writer and characters so rich in personality they basically write themselves. This is something the writers of Johnny Test could learn. The Music - I'd be lying to say it's better than the Super Mario Bros. 2 theme, but it's good enough to be on my ipod. They are all catchy and unique in there own way, such as the Flim Flam Brother's 1960 Musical-esque crowd song. When ever they start singing, I get excited, especially weird considering I hate unnessary music numbers outside musicals. The Nature - I'm just going to let this out, please don't get angry this is one person's opinion (and I'm the minority on this), and I do not expect you to agree. I feel way too many Japanese writers have forgotten how to write a decent story and have become overly reliant on low brow ways to cover up their weakness. I'd watch some anime and nothing really happens from beginning to end except it moving from one bland character's panty shot to the next. It leaves me bored and bitter about the world of writing. I know there are some animes that defies what I've described and Hollywood isn't much better, but it's just so prevalent that whenever I hear about the new overly popular anime, I preemptively expect a bland show with bland characters and a lot of content marketed at people so insecure about their own masculinity they need a fix of self insertion into the main character constantly covered in the panties of large breasted, blond haired, blue eyed, tall 14 year old japanese girls. (While I'm at it why can't these same japanese animators draw japanese people). When I get like this, anything that breaks the norm and has, dare I say it, interesting characters that do something other than show off their panties immediately come across me as fresh and unique. It's not's so much innocence as much as it is bloody maturity. I don't need a show holding my hand and telling me I'm a man, I'm mature enough to not give a flying feather. The Community- I can say I absolutely adore the community. Videos, music, games, art and even physical objects themselves. That is dedication there. Whenever I boot up the internet, sites like Equestria Daily and Ponnibooru are some of the first sites I visit. The comics I especially like.
  18. Anyone else a Megaman fan? Hahahahaha that's a good one. My favorites were Megaman X 1-4. Never played X 5, and X 6 was just... weak.
  19. Man that sucks, but they need to suck it up. What have you done wrong? Like a harmless TV show? You are still you, and eventually they'll realize that. If you've had a good relationship with them before becoming a brony, it should stay afterwards.
  20. As horrid as 4kids have proven to be, with the exception of the first 2 seasons of TMNT and Turtles Forever, I don't think they'd really harm FiM. Just looking at the show, it's pretty tame. No one bleeds, swears, smokes, or let alone dies. If anything, the worst we'd have to worry about is them trying to replicate a voice for another butchering of North America's national anthem. My head hurts again from thinking of that dreaded performance...
  21. My natural cynicism tells my G5 will go back to being sappy and weak. However I like to think certain companies will remember to put art over a quick buck and make G4 the standard. I mean, just look at the Land Before Time, amazing movie turned into a sequel factory of lame pudding.
  22. Here's one confirmed fact. A lot of people are gonna be live streaming the season premier.
  23. In may the best pet win, mentioned are bullets and tanks. I want this to be canon, I want to see a pony use a gun. I can just see it, the Apples passing a revolver to each other while shooting cans off a fence.
