Another update: Though it rained yesterday, showers were minimal and the fire continues to grow, though at a slower rate. Our neighbouring community is still under evacuation, and unfortunately the weather will only be getting hotter and dryer as the week goes on. With evacuation, however, we're in a state of emergency which means the gov't will be sending more help to fight this fire!

Bit of an update. With the forest fire still going strong and no signs of rain (beyond the meagre 1mm we're getting tomorrow), the community nearest the fire is on standby for evacuation and if that goes through then my presence will be very scarce online, as we'll be having family staying with us temporarily! Two children and a dog...our hands will be full!

And another update: fire is moving in close to power and communication lines, so we're at risk of losing power and communication as well now. If that should happen, I'll still have 4G which I will use to keep updates on fbook (only on social networking site to save power), where I have some of you fine folks! Communication won't be totally lost, at least!

Well... if it lightly rains... and 70 divided by 15 is 5, then by the properties of division, the fires should be extinguished in less than a week. ^^

Fire Update: IT'S RAINING!!

Fire Update: The evacuation for the community nearest the fire has been lifted and officials seem to be very positive. We do, however, have a week of hot temperatures and high winds approaching so all are remaining cautious. Here's to hoping we get things under control before the heat hits!

First day of the con was long, brutal, but amazing. Lots of positive feedback for our table and people went out of their way to talk about the awesome experiences they had talking with us. Means so much! Day 2 get at me!
