Phew...better hope my girlfriend doesn't catch me on here typing what I'm about to type... :blah:

I find Twilight so adorkable, that I would probably go with her. I'd say something romantic of such, but I find that a book would likely be so adorably cliche that it'd work in that way, xD

For me it would be Twilight.

Getting something would be a trick.

A book would be an easy gift, but you'd run the risk of getting her one she already has.

Maybe something related to the stars as she does like stargazing or something magical related.

Applejack without a second thought in the world.

As for what, well, I'd arrive early on Hearts and Hooves day with some daisies and a box of chocolate covered apples. I'd offer her the chance to take the day off from work while I took care of it instead, which she would most likely decline. At that point, I'd offer to help her instead and hopefully spend the day working and talking with her. After that, I'd take her out to eat to a place of her choice and then for a leisurely stroll around town and her apple orchard, at which point I'd offer we find a relaxing spot and then offer to give her hooves a massage to help ease the tension from applebucking. After a while of relaxing, talking, and enjoying the sights and fruits of her hard work, I'd gladly escort her back home.

Simple and easy. I know. Not too romantic. I fail. But I believe it is not the action itself, but the thoughts and the feelings behind those actions.

That is the most well thought out thing I've ever heard.

You might want to focus on the fetlock area as opposed to the hoof itself...the hooves aren't exactly massageable. /end nitpicking for public amusement.

Well Applejack isn't famous from being romantic so I guess that would fit very mutch to her.

You earned my respect for the beginning statement alone.

But it is quite hard to actually pull it off in practice. Well, easier if they like games, because games are naturally an experience if they play them. But for others this involves more planning, money and especially creativity than the average gift.

My choice would of course be the lovely and elegant Princess Celestia.

As for what I'd get her? Well as a millenium old being with tremendous wealth, I think material objects wouldn't be enough. So I'd write her a song; a beautiful sonnet that would capture her heart.

Well, I say write. I have no idea how to write a sonnet so I'd pay somepony to write it for me so that I could sing it.

Well, I say sing. I have a terrible voice. Probably be best if I paid somepony to sing for me. But I'd be standing right there next to them so that Celestia would know just how I feel!

...

Yeah, I don't know how to romance.

I think Valentine's Day is lame.

On that note, probably Twilight. Nothing romantic, unless you count book-talk, moderately intelligent conversation, and maybe some star gazing at night to wrap it all up.

Wait, star gazing is romantic isn't it? Well, whatever, it'd still be fun/interesting.
