  1. My Little Investigations: Canterlot Edition! It's not very often that Equestria has crime, but when it does, you'll be certain that it'll draw the attention of investigative ponies! Play detective, play prosecutor, defense, witness, victim, suspect, culprit - anything you'd like, you name it, you can sign up for it here! Based on My Little Investigations, which is a blend of My Little Pony & Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, this is the thread for planning of cases to participate in RP for. - - - - - Rules: Canon characters and OCs are both welcomed! As OCs will probably be required for there to be any crime to take place, OCs may be offered up for various roles. Offer up to 2 ponies for roles - this is to ensure that as many people as possible will have the ability to play! No figuring out the culprit right away - if the case is too perfect and clean-cut, it won't be very fun to investigate, right? Ponies are allowed to bungle up a catch - in fact, that's the whole premise behind AAI and in fact MLI in the first place! No super grimdark premises behind crimes - this is Canterlot.com, after all! Legend - Investigative team are the ones who will defend the pony or otherwise who is falsely accused. Rival team are the ones who will "prosecute" the pony that is falsely accused, trying to get them arrested/tried for a crime they didn't commit. Witnesses are ponies who will testify or have information about the case in question and have seen it. Suspect(s) are ponies that are being accused of the crime in question (before the investigative team gets there). The prime suspect is the one who will be accused first or get the most heat in the case. Victim(s) are ponies who have the crime committed against them. - - - - - Current Case: Need more participants first! - - - - - Past Cases None yet! - - - - - Current Case Volunteers (And How to Join): When wanting to join, fill out this form: Character Name: Character Application Link: Role: Investigation team, witness(es), rivals, suspect(s), victim(s) Why that role? The case will be built around the ponies that are participating in the case. They will be based around the mannerisms of these ponies and what their unique traits would contribute to it. Investigative Team N/A Rival Team N/A Suspect(s) * = Prime suspect Witness(es) N/A Victim(s) N/A You may offer case suggestions when you apply!
  2. It was only natural for a somepony to be curious about the gathering of a crowd. Scootaloo knew the Apples' farm to be relatively quiet for the most part except when large family gatherings as well as cider season were underway - so it was definitely an odd sight to see a line there when neither were occurring. Upon closer inspection, which she'd done upon buzzing in closer on her scooter, she noticed stalls with apple treats upon them as well as a sign that read something about... Getting a bushel for five bits, and then... Kisses? Scootaloo's eyes widened upon reading that, and could she be blamed, then, for wanting to get to the bottom of it? She didn't know the Apple family to be running a carnival, and much less one that offered a glorified kissing booth. She'd only seen those about once or twice, and it'd been a no thank you moment every time. Scootaloo thought about families and special someponies more than she'd like to admit, but even for her kissing strangeponies seemed a bit much. Her thirst for knowledge is what brought her to skate in the farm, and it was there that she spotted Applejack and Applebloom, passing by a rather... Er, large stallion as she went. She stopped nearby them, hooking her helmet over the side of the scooter, and she didn't waste any time as she burst out, "Applebloom, what gives?" It took her a moment before she clarified what she meant by that, "A kissing booth? Seriously?" She was more so looking for an explanation than anything else. She didn't seriously judge her friend or her family for their... Eccentric choices of spending their time. Especially since she would be a hypocrite in that regard. (She would never admit to the fact that she'd spent a full hour trying to paint her fur cyan. No way, no sir.) Still, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle were supposed to be the more reasonable ones in the CMC; they needed her for the innovation. This seemed too out there for her friend.
  3. Might start a few opens to get some interaction beyond just Steel and Foxxy. :P (although they are welcome to respond to those opens themselves!)

  4. A "What If?" AU. ☼ ABOUT THE AU In the Equestria that we are all familiar with, Celestia is a benevolent, loving ruler of her subjects who shared the spotlight best she could with her sister whom she adored, Princess Luna. Despite conflict between the two that brought them to fight and forcing Celestia's hoof in sealing her own sister away, she was all too eager to welcome her back. Equestria knew peace once Luna was accepted back among their ranks. But what if Luna had a point? What if Celestia really was intentionally stealing the spotlight from her sister? This AU examines the idea of a chessmaster Celestia who plans on taking the world underhoof. An alicorn desiring power and with an insatiable greed for dominance, she has led her subjects to believing that she is the benevolent ruler that her canon counterpart proves to be. But this Celestia doesn't have the purest of intentions, indeed - and all attacks on her ponies were really meant to dismantle the tyranny that she sought to keep over them. Before the age of remembrance, the soil of the land of Equestria and beyond wasn't claimed by anyone. It was a simpler time for Celestia and Luna, as the two of them generally had the idea of gathering up the pony races, who at the time were fighting as they attempted to claim land for themselves, and uniting them under one banner. Back then, Celestia did have the purest intentions as she wished to benefit her people, and indeed she had when she proposed towns for the races. As her land grew, so too did neighboring lands as well as her own, and as well did the admiration of her subjects directed toward her. Before then, ponies, changelings, yaks, and other races lived without much intersection, generally peaceful toward each other. Together with the pillars, Celestia developed the Elements of Harmony. But the Elements did not prove to be without corruption. Upon use of them, the deep-seated dark magic that lay within them found its way into Celestia's head, poisoning what was previously a love for her people into a disdain for their freedom, and the freedom of creatures around her. She began to see the potential that she could unlock if she had them all working toward one common goal, and especially if that goal benefited her. And as she used the Elements to defend from legitimate threats, such as Discord, more and more, and drank in their powers to be the strongest ruler she could be... She realized that she could be a goddess among her people. Celestia moved in on other territories surrounding theirs, beginning to wipe countries out and brushing it off in the history books as them attacking the ponies first. As a pony who ruled for centuries without any kind of strife, no one had reason to cast doubt in her. No one, of course, except Luna. Luna expressed her concerns to Celestia, stating that she believed her sister has changed, and not for the better. This progressed and spanned over several conversations, until eventually the two of them fought. Luna tried to call upon the powers of the Elements, but they were drawn instead to her sister, and Celestia banished Luna to the moon - where she has since remained, trapped with her word silenced. But she was not the only one; the Pillars who gave her such power had one among them corrupted by Celestia's magic, and they banished themselves to Limbo in order to stop him, being unaware that it was Celestia's doing that he became corrupted in the first place. Celestia since made a lot of changes in order to maintain her rule. First, she disowned the Wonderbolts, who were her elite flying team. She planned on replacing them with a true militia that she would develop over time. After that, she came across Twilight Sparkle, who became her star pupil after Sunset Shimmer was banished by Celestia by seeing through her. Celestia has used Twilight's natural leadership skills as well as her utter worship for Celestia to create a new army, this being of ponies who are the best at their particular abilities, and who are able to use the Elements without corruption. The unfortunate part of this corruption is that although it strengthens Celestia, it also can be difficult to control; the ponies she found could control them better than she ever could. As a result, she sent Twilight over to Ponyville, suggesting to her to prepare a festival with the help of those very specific ponies. She has put them up to tasks together to ensure that they make a close-knit bond so as to make her own rule over them that much more poignant, and to allow Twilight to command them in her stead in the case she cannot. Unintentionally, this brought Twilight to beginning to unite with other ponies in Ponyville, but for Celestia, this just made her job so much easier. She also promoted Twilight's brother to the head of her own Royal Guard. She knows they're incompetent, but it keeps Twilight on her good side. She also made sure to supplant the remaining the remaining alicorn's abilities by aiding Sombra in keeping her and her kingdom completely out of the know. She will do anything in order to keep herself the goddess of the world, and everyone to know and bow down to her name. That being said, it may be possible that ponies are catching on to her plan... ☼ LIST OF CHANGES / TL;DR Princess Celestia is by all means a tyrant. She's a tyrant who plans on taking other countries, destroying homes, and leading under a rule of fear. She has gone mad with power. Princess Luna has been banished to the moon and has stayed there since, though there are whispers that she will return someday... Twilight Sparkle is not a princess within this AU. She is also not an alicorn. The Wonderbolts used to be the elite flight team for Celestia, as well as her airforce, but they have since been disowned by her. They remain as a group of vigilantes now to help keep the peace. Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie have met and are friends, but as a result of very slow progression as opposed to Nightmare Moon's return. In addition to that, they are to be the main front line of Celestia's army once she has succeeded in convincing them of her reign. Also, Twilight isn't there to learn 'friendship lessons'; Celestia instead said she's there for some 'out of Canterlot experience', as well as to maintain the library there. Friendship is just a bonus of that. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were never established. Scootaloo, Apple Bloom, and Sweetie Belle only know each other as classmates. Right now, the M6 are not suspicious of Princess Celestia. This may change in the future. Princess Cadence and the Crystal Empire are currently under Sombra's rule and completely invisible to anyone who doesn't specifically look for them. The changelings and Chrysalis are far away from their original home. Celestia plans on taking them out completely. Tirek and Scorpan rule an entirely separate kingdom together. They are unaware of what is going on with Equestria. They will soon find out. Celestia currently plans on finding the Alicorn Amulet, which will enhance her magic. ☼ EVENTS / IMPORTANT THREADS N / A - the AU's just started! ☼ RULES ACTIVITY: I don't want this AU to go dead. If you're going to take a canon, you should probably be around at least once a month. I will message you personally about it. If you don't post at least once a month, I may ask for your character to be revoked. SOME LITERACY EXPECTED: I don't need thirty paragraphs of detail, but I am expecting writers to have a good grasp of writing. No one-liners for posts! CANON CHARACTER LIMIT: You may take up to 3 canons for this AU so as to prevent hoarding. ASK BEFORE MAKING IMPORTANT THREADS: Making a thread generally within this AU is completely fine, but if it's going to introduce an element that shakes up the events of the gameplan, be sure to run it by me first. OCS WELCOMED! You don't even need to make a new OC. Go ahead and just adapt your OC to it. CHARACTER EXPANSION ALLOWED: Feel free to make relationships between characters and explore them. There are differences in friendships because of the lack of friendship lessons on top of everything else, so feel free to figure out what that means! TELL ME ABOUT YOUR THREADS HERE! ☼ HOW TO APPLY IF YOU ARE AN OC: All you need to do is tell me how your OC will adapt to the differing situation. You can change them up any way you'd like. That's it. That's all that's required to apply and participate! FOR CANONS: There has been a lot of leg room about differences between canons left in here. Different aspirations, different places they got in life because of the changes made here, etcetera. You're encouraged to think through those differences. Otherwise, I'm wanting people who know a lot about their canons. Here's a form you can use. Send it here in this thread, and if I give you the go-ahead, feel free to use that application in the main application area: NAME: AGE: GENDER: SUMMARY: This is a summary of their personality, aspirations, changes, etc. HISTORY: This can be bulleted. SAMPLE: Must be a sample of you RPing the character. If you already RP a canon here, just link to a post of that character I can read! ☼ CHARACTER LIST NOTE: This list contains canon characters. OCs are automatically assumed to be tailored for this AU, although you are allowed to tell me specifically what your OC will do in it. Cast characters that aren't listed here can be applied for! 5. @SteelEagle She had tried to tell her. It's not as if there was any air of mystery - the two of them knew the kind of pony that Daring Do was, and they knew what kind of adventures she went on, and they even knew what her publishing schedule would be. Still, such knowledge appeared not to deter Rainbow Dash, and so that's when the two of them found themselves making their way to Canterlot. Okay, that wasn't the only reason; Twilight Sparkle had been told that she was stressing herself out too much with royal princess duties along with maintaining the school, and had been recommended by her friend to close it down for a teacher's out day. Twilight wasn't sure, in hindsight, that the suggestion had really been in her favor, but rather as a result of Rainbow herself wanting some time off, especially after she'd caught word that Rainbow had Applejack cover for her shift, but she hadn't the heart to question her friend on it. And so the two of them were on a trip to Canterlot, over to the old library (which in hindsight, Twilight hadn't brought any of them to) to see if she had a secret limited edition copy of one of the Daring Do novels, since Twilight had been the avid collector back then. She doubted she had it. She was pretty sure she'd given Rainbow all the copies she knew about. But she knew also that once Rainbow's mind was set on something, she wouldn't be dissuaded. And so they were fluttering over to her old Canterlot home, a large building whose windows appeared especially boastful now that Twilight was visiting it with a friend and made her ears wilt to witness. She became especially subconscious as she was pretty sure she could see from their angle that cobwebs collected within her old home; despite suggesting that she should clean up around there, she apparently hadn't gotten around to it... One could justify it by saying she'd been distracted by her attempt to reconnect with her old friends as well as the emotional energy expended with trying to make it up with Moondancer, but Twilight didn't like making excuses for sloppiness in behavior. She also knew that Rainbow wouldn't mind, but that didn't stop it from being embarrassing... She landed in front of the door and opened it with her magic. "Well, here it is, my old home. I'm sorry for the mess... Apparently when I came back here to look for information on my old friends, I'd forgotten to clean it up. I really ought to get around to that," she sighed. This was supposed to be a break, wasn't it? She still felt rather wired and tense. Maybe it was just this old home in general. Something in the air that got to her. It certainly felt lonely, at least, with how her hoofsteps echoed off the walls.
  6. It was a good call on Rainbow Dash's part, not that Scootaloo would know about it. She'd been about to deliberate on the mistake she'd made - a pretty feather-brained mistake, at that - when the older pegasus interrupted her thoughts to tell her not to get hung up on something she didn't get the first time around. Scootaloo'd opened her mouth in order to say something in response to that, but before the words could leave her Rainbow Dash scooped her up, which caught Scootaloo off guard (enough to earn her sister-figure a squeak in response, and Scootaloo's face was still hot with embarrassment by the time she'd been perched from that little show of 'coolness') and placed her on her back. Scootaloo scrambled a little to get settled between Rainbow Dash's wings, fighting off the urge to hug her forelegs around Rainbow Dash's neck in order to keep her grip, before settling down with a sigh. So preoccupied had she been by trying to make a position on Rainbow Dash's back that she nearly missed what her sister-figure said to her. "Wha - Oh... Well, okay!" It was difficult to argue with that logic. Working on an empty stomach being a bad idea? She could get that. Scootaloo personally didn't allow herself to gripe too much when she was hungry, though, so she didn't join in Rainbow Dash's own complaint, although she bought it. She didn't give it much thought, expecting Rainbow Dash to tour it herself, instead focused entirely on how comfortable this perch was... And how higher up it was in the air. For somepony so grounded, being lifted off it, even a little, always brought a sense of warmth to her chest, and the little filly was gradually growing more and more relaxed. It helped that the perch she had was a stable, warm body of its own, one she could guarantee would catch her when she fell. She might have sank more into appreciating it if Rainbow Dash hadn't asked her a question, a question that started Scootaloo a little bit since she hadn't expected to be asked. "What I have in mind? We-ell, ummm..." Scootaloo was clearly not used to this sister thing if everything Rainbow Dash asked felt like a pop quiz whose wrong answer would determine her worthiness of presence! Scootaloo mentally kicked herself for freaking out so much about this, and then afterward for blanking out and being unable to come up with an answer, which just led to her beating herself up more than actually come up with something tangible. She tapped her own head with a hoof, which she regretted as her weight shifted and she drew the hoof back into Rainbow Dash's back, digging it in a little unintentionally in an attempt to stay on. "Maybe just a sandwich with hay fries? But, uh, I'm not-" That hungry, but wait, would saying such a thing offend Rainbow Dash? She frowned, then tried again, "I'm good with anything, really!" Yeah, that worked.
  7. Roleplay Type: World of EquestriaName: Hake no Sakkaku (ハケの錯覚, lit. "an illusion of brush"); goes by "Cerulean Canvas" in pony formSex: FemaleAge: Very oldSpecies: 6-tailed Kitsune (Yokai)Eye colour: Light greenCoat: The dominant color of Cerulean's fur is white. In her kitsune form, she has blue markings along the tips of her tails, along her sides, on her front legs, part of her back leg, above her eyes, below her eyes, and at the tips of her ears. On her pony form, these markings are only around her eyes. Her hooves are also furred.Mane/Tail: Cerulean has flaring bangs outward and a ponytail at the back. Her tail is evenly and well-combed, and even her bangs are well controlled. Physique: In her kitsune form, Cerulean is rather large, about the size of your average adolescent dragon. She stands on all fours, and she's largest at her chest area and her body recedes toward her hindquarters. In her pony form, she's slightly larger than the average earth pony but otherwise does not stand out physique-wise.Residence: Ponyville, though she does wander from place to place.Occupation: Freelance artistCutie Mark: A paintbrush with blue paint the same color as her mane. Cerulean will claim to you that she earned this cutie mark when she tried out painting for the first time and it seemed as though it "literally came to life", and that she'd done so when she was living in a home situation where she was getting kicked out by her parents, telling her she needed to support herself, and she couldn't find any skills applicable to self-support. She specializes in painting optical illusions and paintings that seem so real. In reality, her magic is something she's developed and honed over the many, many years she's been alive, and indeed her paintings are done with magic, not with actual skill. Unique Traits: Does being a kitsune count? Her pony form's unique trait lies in the bauble she wears around her neck, which is the gemstone that contains all of her magical power. Its power is far more obvious when she is in her kitsune form as the ribbon around it flows around her neck rather than being directly tied to it. It sometimes glows in her pony form when she's transmuting magic into her artistry or creating illusions. As should be guessed, Cerulean is an expert at illusion magic. Her pony form itself is an illusion, a shapeshift in order to deceive ponies. History: Given how old Cerulean is, it would take a very long time to go into her history - and she wouldn't tell you about it if you asked, anyway. A summation is that she was born into a group of yokai much like herself, outreached in the fringes of Equestria. Her story with her parents isn't entirely fabricated, as they believed in tough love and criticized her harshly for her magical ability as it was developing as she grew older. Thankfully for Cerulean, she was a hard worker and once she gained her second tail, she had confidence that she could support herself without the aid of her parents, who decided a two-tailed kitsune was old enough to take care of herself. Much of what she was taught revolved around deceiving other species in order to swindle support from them. When asked about other animals outside of that, she never had her questions answered; this led to her turn-around once she grew that second tail to become a traveler and immerse herself in the cultures of other species in order to grow to better understand them. Cerulean was there to witness the growing of the two alicorn sisters, and she was there to witness Luna's banishment to the moon. She changed her form many times over these years in order to ensure no one uncovered her identity. Cerulean's natural craftiness allowed her to keep on the down low for a long time, especially since she switched up her personality every so often to make the connection even harder to make. The easiest way to tell her forms from each other came from her coloration, the one thing about her appearance that she never changed, but even then she varied it up enough that she could play it off as if she was a descendant of the previous creature. It also helped that she species-hopped often, going from dragons to alligators to sirens and everything in between. It wasn't until recently that she settled on being an earth pony, and she's begun to covet the simple life of the ponies in Ponyville, such that she's beginning to consider settling into this form and settle down as a permanent residence. It's a good thing for her, too, because being in that tribe as well as being on the run was beginning to become boring and tumultuous for her. She's tired and old and she'd rather immerse herself in a culture and forget entirely about the fact she is a yokai, even if she may enjoy some aspects of it. Character Personality: The personality that Cerulean has settled on for this pony form is closest to her original personality. She has, in years, shifted between being a shy recluse, to an outgoing stage performer, to a rough and tumble dragon; but now that she's embracing a permanent life, she doesn't want to play a face anymore. As a result, aside from some secrets she keeps close to the chest, her pony self is pretty close to who she was. Cerulean is an artist by nature and has all the eccentricities that come with that. She loves to create, she loves to see her creations come to life, and she seeks validation from others on how great her creations are. She also appears to often be in her own world, thinking of ideas of the next big show she can create or the next big mural she can paint. This ditziness only appears when she is in the zone, thinking about what she wants to do next, and it's not so much airheadedness as a space she goes in her head where everything around her seems to disappear. She won't communicate how she's feeling in this mode, and hell, she may not even communicate at all when someone is attempting to talk to her, at least until her project is finished. She has an intense amount of focus that doesn't compare even to other artists, to the point that it can be eerie how little she seems to perceive once she's "in the zone". She also has a tendency to drop whatever she is doing whenever she reaches this state, making it a potential frustration to those communicating with her. When she isn't in this zone or when she's just creating for fun, though, Cerulean is very sociable - perhaps too much, in a very forward way. Cerulean should be known as a very flirtatious pony, regardless of the recipient's gender, and quite the teaser. She appears to enjoy getting under the skin of other ponies, making them squirm, and with all of her years of studying animal behavior, she also seems to have an intuitive instinct for what will get under their skin, too. She pokes and prods at buttons until she either perturbs the pony too much or advances actually happen and the pony appears to think she's interested, in which case she will make it clear she isn't. That isn't to say she's not up for a flirtatious foray, necessarily, but she avoids commitments and relationships like the plague. Part of the reason is due to the fact that Cerulean will outlive any particular partner, and as a result despite her friendliness, overly friendliness, she is also fairly detached from other ponies. In a way, this is a good thing, because her wealth of knowledge and her age means that she can give good advice. When she's seen it all before, she has an idea of how to handle it now, and she has no troubles telling other ponies information they may need to know. That being said, she is still slightly a tricky one by nature, like most kitsune, and may pull a joke or a prank. In fact, Cerulean has a penchant for pranks and may deceive another pony for a laugh. This can lead to her earning the reputation of someone who is callous rather than helpful, but really it is more based on her whim and how attached she is to the pony in particular (of course, it's not often she's that attached, but a secret need to have someone close to her may bring her to be so in the future). When she does give good advice and means it, it's solid advice because she doesn't become too emotionally invested in any other pony's situation. And when she tricks somepony, it's going to be a good prank. She knows what works and what doesn't, after all. Being a kitsune, a yokai, who has been without yokai for so long, who wouldn't understand what it's like, has left Cerulean being deeply lonely deep inside. That detachment can betray that in her, for those of the keener eye. But Cerulean puts up a playful, flirtatious front, and it works fine for her. It also makes it especially harsh and contrasting when Cerulean breaks that front, either with a show of emotion (which she rarely ever does; vulnerability is something she's gotten very good at hiding, along with her true form) or with a kind of deep wisdom or harshness that drastically conflicts with those personality traits. Cerulean, in fact, can be very chilling whenever she does get serious, and she can even come off as cold and heartless with the way she may address certain issues. She doesn't sugarcoat the truth if she is going to give advice to you, so be warned. Character Summary: Hake no Sakkaku, or "Cerulean Canvas", is a kitsune living disguised as an earth pony. She's flirtatious and wise, and yet there is that impression she has a deep secret that she is hiding. She's card-carrying and cunning, sly as the fox she is, but not unfriendly toward those she speaks to. She doesn't like to commit, and she does like to prank. She's old and tired... And she just needs someone who understands.
  8. Rainbow pulled Twilight up once the alicorn grappled her hoof, giving her a once-over to make sure the princess hadn't gone and bruised herself somewhere and neither of them had noticed. Thankfully, other than a little bit of dirt that got kicked up by the crash landing landing on her fur, Twilight appeared to otherwise be intact. Well, mostly; seemed she caught some grass within her muzzle, as she let out a rather unprincess-like sneeze. That was the part that brought those giggles that fought against Rainbow's throat to surface, though it was playful at worst. She wasn't about to make fun of somepony who wasn't used to flying for crashing into the ground, far from it. Rainbow herself had been in too many crashes to count, and she was one of the best fliers out there! Full tooting her own horn intended there. Twilight's little giggle made Rainbow's smile widen and relax naturally as thankfully, the princess didn't appear to be too discouraged by her not so elegant landing. There might have been some other reason the giggle brought Rainbow to smile the way she was, but she wouldn't tell you that if you asked her. She nodded at Twilight's assessment of flying, stretching her own wings slightly. Twilight appeared to be none worse for wear, so Rainbow backed up in order to provide her with room as no doubt she was going to attempt again. Those little winks of hers made Rainbow's cheeks tingle, though she wasn't sure why on that part, and she was a bit too focused on providing Twilight with these lessons in order to think it through much. Instead, she fluttered back to make sure she was in the air when Twilight took off - and with that, her friend trotted off again to launch into the air, and this time, she remembered to flap those wings of hers. As Rainbow watched, she found it curious how they functioned identically to a natural born pegasus's wings; even though Twilight only acquired them as a result of some sort of...spell...thing? she didn't fully understand, but whatever ascension she went through with Princess Celestia, they displayed no weakness. In fact, Twilight was advancing rather quickly for somepony who just got them... She moved slowly in the air, and her hard flaps brought her more vertical distance than horizontal, but that was no problem for Rainbow. She caught up easily by Twilight's side, zipping around her as she drifted over the trees. Some of Rainbow's flying provided near-misses to collision with Twilight in the air, but Rainbow deftly moved out of the way, even when she wasn't quite looking at her directly. "You're a great flier so far!" Rainbow cheered, whistling. "It's like you're a natural. Y'sure you had no idea you'd become an alicorn?" A light tease, before the cyan pegasus swam backward in the air. "Now you gotta learn to control your speed an' altitude, and learn how to glide. If you keep flappin' like you are now," she pointed lightly to her wings with a hoof, "you're gonna tire yourself out real quick. Knowing you, I bet you've read up on air drifts an' all that, right? You're gonna wanna use those to help you soar through the air without usin' up too much effort, like this -" And with that, Rainbow spread her wings, gauging how the wind moved and tilting her body slightly accordingly, all without having to move her wings a beat. While Twilight kept flapping hers, Rainbow only beat them every once in a while, up until she drifted all the way around Twilight and in front of her, in which she flapped a bit more furiously in order to keep herself in front of the alicorn. "You try it!"

    2. Switchback

Welcome back, and that was a fun episode

  10. Scootaloo was definitely growing accustomed to the rock upon her nose this time. Just as she thought she had it down to pat, Rainbow interrupted her concentration once again, though this time for a very clear and specific purpose. Rainbow wasn't exactly shouting from the rooftops about how awesome Scootaloo was, but that was fine - she wasn't expecting that kind of praise (even if a part of her craved it), especially for something as trivial as balancing a rock on her nose. And as Rainbow said, the two of them were going to have to carry the eggs by a distance, which meant that really, balancing it on her nose at a standstill was the baseline. Scootaloo withheld the urge to nod emphatically in response, just barely managing to remind herself that she still had the rock upon her nose and if she moved too much, it was going to fall again, and instead allowed her throat to hum out an, "mhhmmm!" With that, she took her eyes slightly off the rock in order to watch Rainbow Dash, and... She watched the way that the older pegasus balanced it as she walked, hoofsteps slow. Scootaloo was pretty sure that for Rainbow this was about as difficult as sleeping and she'd likely be able to move much faster if she tried without any threat of dropping the rock, so no doubt it was for her sake. Maybe if Scootaloo was in a worse place and it was any other pony she would have been insulted at the insinuation that she couldn't handle it, that Rainbow felt she had to curb herself in order to allow Scootaloo to keep up pace... But this was Rainbow Dash, her unbridled hero, and Scootaloo was actually in a pretty good mood, given the already rather dramatic improvement between the two balancing attempts. If anything, she appreciated that she was going easy and keeping her in sight. Scootaloo wasn't sure what she was going to do if Rainbow moved too far ahead of her, especially since she just had to trust Rainbow's word on it that the tree was actually there. With that, Scootaloo took a few tentative steps forward with the rock still balanced on her nose. It wavered a little bit, which caused her to stop in order to attempt to bring it back to the center, but thankfully, she knew a thing or two about balance; had to, when she was an athlete who used her scooter, and had a sense of rhythm that came from naturally being talented at dancing. As the rock was centered again, Scootaloo took a few more steps. Stop, then a few more. Stop, then a few more. This cycle repeated as she used the cyan of Rainbow's flank to keep an eye out for where she was going. This time, it wasn't the rock that tripped her up, but her line of sight. Since she was taking a slightly different path from Rainbow Dash, she didn't notice the slight drop in the ground as it was a little uneven in the field. The step managed to throw her off balance, and while she might have been able to fix it, she realized belatedly that saying, "Whoa," in response to that had not been a good idea. As a result of the movement of her muzzle, the rock toppled over. Thankfully, Scootaloo herself hadn't this time, just a mild stagger, so it wasn't as painful. It was, however, equally as embarrassing, and had her looking down at the rock as it dropped with a slightly frustrated furrow of the brow. "Aw, man! I could'a had that one, too!"
  11. Update: Since I've begun to ship Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle, saying that I won't play romance with Scootaloo would be...kind of silly at this point. That being said, romance with Scoots will only be with others around her age and will be more puppy love-ish than an adult relationship.
  12. I'm deeply sorry about my disappearance!

      Hey there Scoots!

    2. RainbowFoxxy

      Howdy Scoots! :D

  13. Sorry I haven't been posting much! I do want to get back to updating threads, I've just been focusing my attention on other things. Plus, I'm trying to make new banners for characters, as opposed to using vectors, drawing them.

  14. You know, I have a feeling that Canary and Snapshot should get aquatinted. For....certain reasons.

Haha, oh wow! I swear I hadn't seen Snapshot before, the similarities are entirely coincidental! Love it, though, and I'm definitely up for it whenever you are.
