  1. Welcome! Feel free to make use of the gallery to share any of your MLP art with us.
  2. The "fighting is magic" thing made an appearance on a video game internet news show. There are a few crass comments, so I am going to link to it rather than post it directly to the forums: http://youtu.be/YrfYexI7bUM?t=2m40s That is the way they ALWAYS talk, so ignore the tone.
  3. Uh, Hop might not clear the Hotel Transylvania bar. It has higher highs, and lower lows. And more lows. Also, whimsy is not a defining trait of Hop. There is a bit, but the majority of the movie happens away from Easter Island, and focuses on the goals and relationships of the two main characters.
  4. Your enjoyment may depend on how high your standards are on the night that you rent it. It did poor on rotten tomatoes. Also, the ending is poor. I felt compelled to go back and watch a handful of my favorite scenes to end on a high note.
  5. I just saw "Hop"... E.B.: I've got a problem...I love drumming, but when my friend needed me most, I left him in a house full of highly trained ninja bunnies...what am I going to do? David Hasselhoff: Hmmm...a dilemma as old as time itself. It was a good movie to rent on a slow evening. Sure it had a few painful moments, but it was super cute, and the dialog was wonderful. Hank Azaria (of "The Simpsons") does the voices of two chicks, and talks to himself in hilarious fashion. And Hugh Laurie (of "House") is the Easter Bunny. And, of course, the Hoff plays himself. Five other cameos as well I laughed loudly on at least 3 occasions. There is also a good bonus scene after the credits.
  6. Lovinity asked for a cuteness overload in a recent status... Thus:
  7. Ah, I'm just saying their proportions are nothing like real horses. They are so cute that it can be easy to forget, but once you get precise, it becomes obvious again.
  8. hehe. when you think about it, these "ponies" are horrifying monsters
  9. At a meeting, I noted a guy with the same blue nalgene water bottle as myself...down to the markings and equivalent scratches. Since he was sitting across from me, I kept mine a mirror image to his, taking drinks when he did so (to keep the water level constant) and orienting the lid and markings to see if anyone would notice. It seems that my efforts were for naught.

  10. ooooh, I would be interested to see the other references you came up with.
  11. Hey people with car insurance: did you opt into coverage for medical bills in case you are injured? I'm trying to figure out if I should add it to my policy...

Yeah, if you can afford it, I recommend it.

  12. Fun to hear that you figured it out by measuring the ponies rather than just drawing. interesting style. keep up the good work.
  13. Why do people STILL pronounce the 'R's in "Jar Jar" when none of the characters on screen do so?

These minimal line ponies are very pleasing to look at.
  15. If I wanted to get the hub, I would have to get basic cable. Then I would have to add the "prefered" package. Then I would have to add the "variety" package, which has the Hub and is only available if you have the preferred package. It gets expensive pretty quickly while iTunes was a one time fee to have them forever.
  16. interesting. I wonder how it shakes out if you remove MLP from the equation, and what the numbers looked like prior to season 1.
  17. Very true, I love the team aspect of their relationship. I've been calling him "Flex", is their an "official" name for him yet? He was excluded for the same reason Time Turner was: there is no in show development of his personality.
  18. On the show it is both. That is official enough for me.
  19. Thank you everyone that has taken the time to put thought into responses. That makes a lot of sense. Well said.
  20. Duck Kidneys are STILL sitting on my desk. Haven't worked up the courage to try them yet. They are only a month past the expiration date...

You could always return them to the duck!

That sounds awkward. How would I explain why I didn't return them 6 months ago?
