Truth be told, Spike wasn't exactly familiar with the pony known as Lore, so he found himself a little uncertaIN of just how exactly to best go about responding to him - it seemed like a prudent start to address his question about the tastes of jewels....something that he'd found awkward to 'translate' into dragon flavours when he'd tried to explain it to Twilight one time, but it seemed like a while back now and the youngster dragon had a much firmer idea of how to best describe what he had come to appreciate over the last few years. " [colour=#008080]Well...[/colour] " He began, pausing for thought before continuing. " [colour=#008080]colours play a big role...like, red jewels tend to remind me a lot like cinnamon most of the time - fire ruby is usually strongest, and a little harder to come by too[/colour]! " Spike explains, using as many familiar ideas as he could to describe his answer. " [colour=#008080]Greens can vary from shade to shade - sometimes mint, sometimes fruity....and sometimes, eugh...[/colour] " he makes a small face at the memory. " [colour=#008080]Sometimes they can be Spinach or somethin' - I'm not fond of those[/colour]! " he would have gotten into the specifics of that, if only for the fact he found himself momentarily taken inside the gem merchants - one very smooth and pricy exchange of goods and services later, the dragon was then once again on the outside world, only with a bag of gems clutched between his claws, swearing to all and sundry that nothing would get between him and this offering. Of course, Spike had noticed the rather expensive cost to crescent - rubbing the back of his head and offering a sincere smile of apology as he then openly chomps on a yellow triangle gem....and immediately making a face that indicated that he wasn't entirely prepared for this ones peppery lemon hint... Perhaps this was karma's way of paying him back for his little expense towards Twi's folks. Ah well - it would be worthwhile for everypony once they all got to Rarity's at least...or at least so he hoped!

A little while later...upon arriving amidst the pair and serving them their treats, and a round of same for herself, she couldn't help giggle to herself at the antics of her daughter that she had managed to overhear during her preparing of the snacks. If ever a pony was a true epitome of adorable, Ruby sure as heck demonstrated that she was a strong contender for the crown of cute...a thought that struck the winemaker in no small way as she sipped at her glass of fresh mixed juice thoughtfully and glances at the pair - holding up a hoof and speaking her thought out loud. " [colour=#ee82ee]Well...I have a name idea for her too[/colour]! " Berry says with a small grin as she wiped her muzzle. "[colour=#ee82ee] you could be a Pinchicorn, hun - the Alicorn of all things adorable[/colour]! " Berry loved getting in on her daughters fun whenever she could...and if she could find ways to perhaps put an embarrassing spin on things, she would! Afterall, what else were parents good at in their kids eyes, eh? Apple Pie's little announcement of her having made these pies herself gave Berry a small pause for thought, as she took a bite of the helping she'd given herself - the morsel having just the right levels of zest and sweetness that an apple pie should have as a filling...the pastry rich and delicious, crumbling as she nibbled at it with an appreciative smile. " [colour=#ee82ee]So young and so talented - the Apples are truly miracle workers throughout all ages, aren't they[/colour]? " Berry says as she looks toward the young filly with a grin. "[colour=#ee82ee] You're clearly going to be another fine blossom on their family tree - especially with such a delicious applepie recipe in your reportoire[/colour]! " Berry didn't exactly want to say it out loud, but she most certainly had designs on acquiring that recipe...or some variation of it...it was just TOO delicious not to at least try!

Well, things were going better than she'd hoped between Lime and Moondancer - the Ponyvillian pony of bright glowstick shades seemed to be learning and adjusting to the informations moondancer was dispensing...and whilst she clearly had a little sass in her, Vinyl concluded that the scene had worked with a pretty decent success rate. She smiles inwardly, relaxing a little more as an eclair-dwelling plate made her presence...if there was one thing that topped free food, for one such as Vinyl, it was free sweets! Vinyls attention flicked over to movement briefly - seemed like the mare of grey had rejoined them...l'il Miss Octavia - She hadn't spoken much at all to the earth pony, so there wasn't enough of an impression for Vinyl to reflect on, but she seemed like a relatively nice enough pony. Maybe a l'il overly...canterlotian, for lack of a better word, but then Vinyl had to remind herself that she too had come from a canterlot upbringing - not really as 'Top Notch' as some other ponies, but she knew enough to at least respect whatever life Octavia might lead. " For a slick McToocool shades inside pants you aint that bad" Limes comment made the white DJ smirk, as she raised a hoof to nudge at her shades...pondering a remark to fire back - didn't take her long! " [colour=#800080]Well, if you weren't coloured like a glowstick, maybe I'd have reasons to take 'em off... [/colour]" the mare replies, grinning toyingly. " [colour=#800080]Heh - but seriously, it's nice to meetya[/colour]!~ " And with that, the rest of the night was seemingly going to be smooth sailing - but that yet could still be derailed by the devious culinary events as yet unseen!

Who could be cooler than Rainbow Dash? HER OWN FATHER! Just a little more detail about her personality and such, yes - are they a likeable pony, do they have quirks, or things that annoy/make them happy...stuff like that. basically any l'il additions that you think might help a user looking over this application to understand on how the pony themselves act/think, and how that might affect Roleplay scenes! Just a little more padding out and fine tuning, and I think the application could well have some legs to roll with!

Going to agree with Imagination here, seeing as the summary is a little bare - take her as a pony, condense some of the interesting facts and let us know more about how she is in the world around her, maybe just giving us a snapshot of the things she enjoys when she's not being a professional, what her overall opinions about what she does are, her social life (to reasonable degrees) and pretty much anything that might help to give a casual glimpse of how this character interacts with the world around her and such. As for her history section - again, as Imagination has put it, this is pretty much where you make a condensed rundown of who she is as a pony, and how her life has been up until this point - we're not asking, of course, for insanely long historical accuracy, but this will help for ponies to better understand her motivations and character developments in RP. I'm pretty sure you've got this though, so I look forward to seeing just how this application turns out at the end - looks pretty good so far though!

Well, looks like this apps come along a good way, and I like it - everything seems to pass all the checks and tick all the boxes, so I got no reservations in stamping it! Stay Frosty!

Macintosh was definitely feeling that there was a mixed blessing that he hadn't taken a bite of the rather spicy sausages - once Carrot had revealed that they were indeed a very special type, Macintosh breathed a sigh of relief at now being secure in the knowledge that he'd dodged a real situation there by having skipped them. His eyes travel over to applebloom - the filly wasn't quite as capable at keeping things levelheaded, and as such she was giggling quite openly - Mac almost found himself slipping into a few giggles of his own, before stuffing his face with another bite of pie to silence himself before anything he might regret happens...the last thing he wanted to do now was aggrevate Applejack, who looked like she was already battling with the spices still firing up on her tongue - still, it wasn't often the elder brother saw his younger sister get this 'steamed up', and it was the sort of thing that he would probably prod at her later over...although she seemingly shot him a glare that made him think twice on that particular venture. "So yeah! Galloping Glade is one of our favorite campin' spots. I think we should go there. How about a week from tomorrow?" " [colour=#b22222]Eeeeeyup...[/colour] " Big Mac agreed, finally over his small moment of internal thought and observations of the scene before him. " [colour=#b22222]Ah think it'd be jus' the sorta thing that'll help us all get t'know one another, one family to another - ya'all never know what kinda opportunities might lay ahead in a venture like that[/colour]! " It was true - what better method for the families to mingle and get to know each other better than an ol' fashioned campour at Galloping Glade? As far as Macintosh was concerned, there jus' wasn't anything better for quality family binding time!

Spike looked at Quicklime with an appreciative grin, as he looked back at quicklime with a small nod...taking a sip of the tea and giving a quick lick of his lips as he pondered the rather sweet flavours - it was an interesting concoction and one that seemed to strike out boldly at the tastebuds. She hadn't quite told him what sorta tea this was, and his curious nature led him to decide that asking about it was the best route to finding out the answers. " [colour=#008080]So hey, Quicklime...what's in this tea anyway[/colour]? [colour=#008080]If it's those leaves from earlier[/colour], [colour=#008080]It's pretty good[/colour]! " The dragon takes up the cup with both claws, sipping from it again and giving a small lazy smile - stuff was good, he wasn't gonna deny that! " [colour=#008080]Well, maybe...[/colour] " Spike ponders, as he put it down once he'd finished his planned couple of sips. " [colour=#008080]If you need any help for a l'il bit, I can do that - I help Twilight all over the library, and I figure that it's only fair that I do the same here...I mean, it's a kitchen right? I love cooking and stuff, sorta a thing I do sometimes.[/colour] " the dragon was honestly keen to just help Lime out with the shop - if she wasn't gonna expect him to pay, then that was cool and all...but there was no reason that he couldn't help out if he had the chance to, seeing as she clearly worked this place all on her own. Twilight had always said that trying to help was always a good thing that he could do if a pony looked like they might need a little, and that was exactly what Spike was going to do here - if Quicklime was ultimately willing to go for it, of course.

Spike in the meantime was rummaging through the chest still - having completely not noticed the disappearance of Stable and the others...his eager digging unearthing smaller, more archaic and useless trinkets like an unused rolling pin, a couple of bent badges, more quills and...a small rolled up piece of manuscript that was simply addressed '[colour=#008080]To Future Spike[/colour]' " [colour=#008080]Uh...what's this?[/colour] " Spike murmurs to himself as he unbundles the note....a small yellow gem rolls out, which Spike looks at before reading the small familiar writing on the note. " [colour=#008080]Dear Future Spike - IOU: 1 x Sapphire, 2 x Rubies, 2 x Emerald and an amethyst...here's a yellow Glowgem to make up for it[/colour]! " Spike looked to the name written with a grimace...the note was signed '[colour=#008080]Past Spike[/colour]' " [colour=#008080]AGH - That guy is always two steps ahead of me[/colour]! " Spike sighs as he resigns himself to making his way back to the shop - taking a lon savouring lick of the yellow gem, as he enters the shop and casts a glance at the others for a moment, masking his disappointment by holding up the yellow gem in what he decided was a look of triumph! "[colour=#008080] Found it, so I'll be going now - Hey, Princess...nice to see you again[/colour]! [colour=#008080]Can't stop now, since I got some things I gotta attend to back at the library...[/colour] " the dragon announced with a firm nod as he heads to the front door and opens it, giving a small wave back at those who were there. " [colour=#008080]See ya later, Ponies - maybe I'll call in again sometime or something[/colour]! " Spike closes the door behind him and headed back to the library, munching on the gem as he makes his way back home - cursing the name of Past Spike as he does so.

Meghan Mccarthy {lead writer for the season} seems to suggest otherwise in her interviews about it...talking about the challenges and new problems it brings Twilight.

Hi Tales! A few important things to keep in mind, since this character is a bit incomplete for WoE: 1. in regard to the buffalo lore: We still have some work to do in getting lore for the buffalos solidified. This application should try to focus less on the possible culture or habits of the buffalo as a race, and focus moreso on the character herself. 2. It needs more detail in order to give us a better idea of who the character is. Phil made some good suggestions above and, if nothing else, they should at least be given some thought . 3. If you're absolutely stone-cold certain that this is how your character needs to be, and that it has been destined by the cosmos to be so, then you know there's always FFA and Crossovers. As explained above, we're not entirely sure of what this character is really all about, and can't very well just send a mystery bovine into the frey! Good luck, and we look forward to seeing how you mold this character further!

Vinyl rolls her eyes with a gentle snort at the catchup regarding the club and Moondancers experience...it wasn't surprising that things had worked out like that, considering she'd put in a quiet good word for the pony before she'd left the club herself, but this just reminded the DJ that her fans could be just as crazy as she was sometimes at a show sometimes. the DJ chuckles a little at the thought as she steps back to let quicklime intro herself, but from what it seemed like, Qucklime was just a little hesitant about the conversation. "If you think so..I'm not opposed to learning but maybe she could calm down a bit first?" The DJ mare gives a small grin as she glances over at Moondancer, and waves a hoof dismissively, shaking her head a little at this comment. "[colour=#800080] Nah, it's okay - she's just a little excited - she's never really been close enough t'get a chance to talk to me one on one I s'pose... [/colour]" the DJ Unicorn explains as she glances back at moondancer for a moment, tweaking the shades slightly. " [colour=#800080]All ya need is a l'il moment to get the fangasms outta the way an' then we can talk awesome[/colour]! " Sure, things hadn't gotten off exactly on the right hoof...but Vinyl was semi-confident that with a little nudge, these 2 would help to make this trainride one to remember!

Big Mac had just about finished up where he'd been working the last few hours, and was just about ready to move onto his next overall objective, when he could see his sisters rather curious expression cast up to the skies, which lead him to gaze up for a moment...he could see not a whole lot from his perspective right now, and thus he makes his way back down to see just what it was that had attracted her attention, and why it had left her with such a curiously bemused expression... " [colour=#b22222]Everythin' okay, AJ[/colour]? " he asked out loud, making his way towards the baffled orange earthpony. " [colour=#b22222]Ah saw you standin' out here lookin' like you'd seen a windigo or somethin'...[/colour] " Klondike was standing nearby, twittering on about something...mac wasn't quite sure what it was but it seemed to be related to the sky, and stealing something of it - he shook his head in amusement, feeling for the umpteenth time today that Klondike just wasn't screwed tight enough with reality sometimes. Still, now that he was down here, he might as well see if there was anything else that he could give the pair of them a hand with - seemed like they needed some help here anyway, from what he could tell. For a small moment, Macintosh looks around for the rather odd hippy pony from earlier, wondering just what it was he was up to himself right now - with any stroke of luck, he was more useful working than he looked. Macintosh looks around to the other 2 for the time being, quirking an eyebrow as he ponders on just what the next part of the plan here was. " [colour=#b22222]If ya'alls be ready t'move on to the next phase, ah'm good to go anytime.[/colour] " he says, giving a small nod of affirmation. Sure, he was still a little beat up from earlier, and they were clearly underhoofed and racing against time to finish the barn before daylight ended, but the Apple Stallion felt relatively confident that this l'il group of earthponies was all that was needed for the task at hoof!

Hey there, I notice that there's been some time in development here, and that you may be having some problems finishing the last application categories! I'd just like to offer up that there's a range of ideas that you could implement for character summary and history, which I shall attempt to outline some basic pointers for below! Does she have any side ambitions or dreams? Is she happy just being a counselor or does she wanna get into doing more with her talent? What are her fears and loves in life: is there anything that really makes/ruins her day that you haven't considered already? Does she enjoy her work? What kinda things does she do there in her role, and does she feel fulfilled/content with doing that? Just reread your application as though you were an outsider, and think about anything that might lend itself to you upon reading it again. Ideas can come to you right when you least expect it, or when you mentally detach yourself from your own work. It's not guaranteed, but sometimes doing such things can inspire unexpected ideas. ​Typically we don't offer advice for WIP applications, but seeing as this application has been in limbo for a week or so, I decided to see if there was any way we could help inspire. RPH and SRPH are here at everyponies disposal, so never feel like you can't approach us for any potential assistance/prompting as far as character applications go!
