Variety, cause focusing on one type allows other trainers to just come with types that are stronger against yours. By using different types of pokemon, they are forced to really think on strategy. I'd probably use a mix bag of types, a Gardevoir for psychic, with a Steelix for the strong defensive power it brings. A Lucario for upfront combat, and a Butterfree for its stats alignments like sleep powder and some wind based abilities. After that probably a Garados and a Typloshin for some g...

Steel Type. A little team-building can overcome any type advantages if you play it right. Skarmory to counter ground, for instance. I'd bring in Aegislash, Lucario, and Metagross (Mega).
