You also know where bev's are, if you have a reason for Squall or whomever you choose to help out bev on this expidtion to be in ponyville and offer assistance that'd be fine, like I said though. She doesnt have the resources at the moment to search for a good candidate

To be blunt, Squall want's to hire her to make things for him (as in - gadgets and other gizmos). Swift may play vigilante but he certainly doesn't have know-how for making a necessary toys. Bevel is stranded in Ponyvilel for a while now and he has his means to find somepony. As such he wishes to give her lucrative job proposal - or maybe even attempt to recruit her for EPIC. He may very well help Bevel for free just to make her indebted to him. Crystals are just the bonus (that he won't know about at start anyway). Billions of bit's at his disposal to fund her would be quite a incentive for Bevel as well I believe. Not to mention that would be their 'second' meeting, after the Whitescar (yes, that's still relevant).
