  1. I wasn't listing any pros and cons. I was just saying how Republics aren't always better than Kingdoms.
  2. No. Just. No. I see where you are going at. You are seeing Princess Celestia as a monarchy. And you dislike that, you prefer a republic instead, yes? Well, I say no. The Principality of Equestria is a monarchy, but it's a good one. She rules just, and fairly. I admit that she makes mistakes at times, but clearly they are unimportant, as Equestria is still in it's divine, peaceful state. I admit, in the long run, a republic is better idea than a monarchy, but it's not set in stone. My point is, If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I mean, look at Equestria! It is in a perfect state of peace and harmony. Why change the government, when everything is perfect? That's absurd. So what if all the laws come from one pony? That's not necessarily bad. I know some absolute monarchies from history that worked out much better then republics. If anything, forcing a republic on an existing monarchy will most likely end in disaster. *cough*FrenchRevolution*cough*
  3. In DP's defense, we've seen hooves play the piano, violin, grasp a sword, ect. So the hooves issue would'nt really be much of a problem. And, you can make your character have weapons, as long as it stays in peaceful intent, such as fencing, marksman archery, tomahawk throwing, etc.
  4. It wasn't her fault. The specific platoon assigned to the precinct was already defeated, or maybe just retreated. There we go, NLR Lunatics, resorting any little tactical/leadership error into full-out tyranny. -_(\
  5. Sol Invictus = Invincible Sun. It was the official sun god of the late Roman Empire in 274 A.D. I'm a Solar Empire loyalist
  6. This looks very nice. May I ask what program you use? Becuase I do have some advice on what to do about the cutie-mark.
  7. Percival took a few seconds to survey his surroundings. He was waiting rather impatiently for the brown pegasus, to return with the injured twin. The airship looked like it was about to fall any second now. Percy was certain that he told the pegasus to bring the injured mare back out in the open, so he could treat her. What was taking him so long! Suddenly, an all-to-familiar cry broke the silence. "Hey, my wing is broken! If one of you ponies who knows what they're doing would come look at it, that would be just fantastic," Percy facehoofed. To think that it would take an entire airship crash, to knock that appalling attitude of hers! Nonetheless, he had to help this pony. "Clearly it ain't bloody well broke'n enough!" He murmured under his breath. He trotted over to the lavender mare. He arrived at an abrupt halt, then stopped to check the pegasus's wing. At first, the wing just looked like it was badly sprained, or twisted. But as he surveyed the wing even more, he discovered that the mare's phalanges were slightly fractured. It was broken, but barely. The airship gave yet another dreadful lurch. Percival simply could not wait anymore. "I apologize miss, this is important, right, I will be hammer and tack for yer' soon!" He ran, full speed to the Airship wreckage. By the time he got there, he was teeming with frustration. He frantically searched for the Pegasus and the two injured twins. Then Percy found him. The brown pegasus was inside the wreckage, pressing a old handkerchief against the wound. Percy bit his lip in sheer rage. Not only did this stallion disobey his instructions, but he was applying a non-disinfected handkerchief to an open wound as well! An open infection in the middle of the wilderness, spells certain death. Percival abruptly shoved the brown pegasus to the side with his magic. Then he gently lifted the injured twin's body out into the open. Percy was slightly unprepared for the sudden weight, he grunted slightly as he levitated the mare out into the open, resting her gently on the ground. Percy turned to Dunder. It was taking an enormous amount of self-control, not to blast this incompetent pony straight into Tartarus. "Wot in blazes, does 'Pull the injured one into the bloomin' open' means ter yer, mate!"
  8. They probably were fighting the Changelings, we probably just didn't see them. Canterlot is a very big place.
  9. In fact, there is a fanart of Twilight handing Celestia's plot to her. It's pretty BA. It's a bit bloody, so I won't post it here.
  10. Here is what I found out about the Crystal Empire. It explains Princess Cadence's crystal cutie-mark, and why she's called a princess Princess Cadence and Shining Armor will be leading it together It will somehow explain for the recent "Crystal pony" toy line It has a huge stadium. Their guard armor is loosely based on IRL's Roman Legionaries. *cough*Diomedes*cough* It features Crystal Berries It is located in the far north, where the "Badlands" are. In the board canon map It will appear in Season 3, Episode 12 You guys will have one heckuva canon fixing to do.
  11. You know what is strange about MLP? Hooves. That's strange. I mean look at this. Apparently, hooves can play the piano... Shoot a bow... (Notice that she's an earth-pony) Play a violin Hold a katana etc, All without fingers. My philosophy? Claws, they retract out of the hoof to grasp the certain object, and retract just in time when the hoof detaches from an object. It's the only way. Well, in my head cannon, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are both twins from a much greater power. And I'm gonna go out in a very argumentative limb here, and say that it's Poseidon. Say waaaah? Well as you can clearly see from the creatures, references, and Guard armor from the show, Equestria is highly based off of Grecian culture and Mythology. And Poseidon, in Grecian mythology, was the god of the sea, earthquakes, and horses. Yes, horses. Although it's a very bold statement to the canon, it's nice to think so. Plus, Celestia and Luna shows some reference to Greek Mythology's Apollo and Artemis. For the record, I listed what could be an incomplete deity line to the MLP canon. Princess Celestia: The Sun, and light. Princess Luna: The Moon, and night. Princess Candace: Love. Discord: Chaos. Queen Chrysalis: Famine, drought.
  12. Dang. I was really hoping on dem pancakes...
  13. Yeah... I kinda got a bit carried away. But to say something is simply not MLP, is simply not true. As you could already see in the show, we've seen Royal Guards and regular ponies carry swords, bows*, and spears. I know that they are used for ceremonial/competitive purposes only today. But neither of those three weapons were first invented for that purpose. Meaning that Equestria has seen some crap** before going into it's Pax. You see, Equestria is in what you call a Pax. A Pax (Latin for peace) is the pinnacle of an Empire. With absolutely no wars, little struggle, and all around peace. This is what we are seeing now. My point is, if Equestria had clear struggle in it's rise, it has the capability to have one again, if not a complete dystopia. *Cutie mark **Not sure of it means anything, but Diomedes actually got two full-fledged wars board canon. EDIT* OH yes! And Twilight Sparkle did mention the possibility of a pony-war in the episode "It's About Time."

No. Not at all... I just wanted to use it, so I won't get sued.

  15. Ahaha! Yea, I was figuring that too. There are a bunch of memes and such of Celestia screwing up, and making frequent stupid mistakes. My philosophy, she is not a Tyrant, she is just getting old. The fact that she is immortal is true, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't age. That just means that she ages much slower than the usual pony. Even if she is not physically aging, she still might be mentally. You are right, Celestia needs to be replaced. But for her sake, don't raise a separate government, then attack us! That's absurd. Not only that, but it's downright ignorant. The so called "New Lunar Republic" was just a bunch of conspiracy theorists, who took simple mistakes, as outright tyranny. She may be losing her touch, but pay respect to the Sol Invictus who brought you to this glorious Pax Eqestria in the first place! Equestria was a kingdom built on peace, of the Elements of Harmony. Fighting a war to change the government is wrong. What do you think war would do? So what if you defeat our thousands in battle, now what? Ruin, that's what. Our once great Equestria is now a land of bloodshed, and carnage. Just because a bunch of conspiratorial lunatics was dissatisfied with their government. You think i'm talking crap? Lets refer back to IRL shall we? The Crusades: The Pope was giving out massive propaganda to the European countries, that the Muslims were infesting the Holy Land, and it was the kingdom's duty as followers of God, to drive them out in force. To Europe, that sounded like a great idea! Fighting for God? Heck yeah! Right? Wrong. The Christians stormed in the Holy Land with zeal of the lord, and got their sorry arses Jihaded back out again. It's sad, I know. Coming from an active admirer of the Knights Templar themselves. My point is, the Christians were just a collection of zealots, who were hyped on wrongful propaganda. And so is the NLR. But I know what you're thinking. "But Templar, what if we won the revolution/civil war?" Even worse! French Revolution: This revolution was fought similar to the one we are consulting now, just a tad bit more significant. The French poor was dissatisfied with the conditions of their Government, so they decided to go to and have a revolution about it. A bunch of freedom fighters fighting for a better government, right? Wrong again. Although a success, the French Government only got worse. Innocent aristocrats, and general disbelievers of the Revolution were executed. The so called "new" Republic was unstable at best. And lead to the Prussian invasion of France. So, the only sensible thing to is for, guess what... More massacres. France was so unstable after the Revolution, that it literally took a absolute dictator to get them back on their feet again. You know, the very thing that they were fighting against in the first place. A little (and I do emphasize on little) guy called Napoleon Bonaparte. My point is, the NLR and the Revolutionary French Republic are strikingly similar. Both are unsatisfied by the government. Both are fighting against not a Tyrannical Government, but a Government that just screwed up. Both wanted a republic in place of the monarchy. (Or Principality in case of Equestria) You may say that the NLR is nothing like the French Revolutionists, and that the NLR will handle the Revolution much differently. But it is easy to say that at first. But I am almost certain that the NLR will get carried away, and next thing we know, Filthy Rich's head is on a chopping block. Don't believe me? Look at how you're talking now! If she would gone rouge again or begin to screw up like her sister, she can be taken care off too Look at you, already eager to overthrow your own leader, and you haven't even breached the barrier of our capital yet! This screams ambition! And blind zealously for a lost cause. Listen, don't get me wrong. Revolutions are great, when taken methodically. Like the American Revolution. That was a great success. When the 13 colonies disagreed with the British ways, they did a peaceful protest first, before going into a full on war. And it took a massacre to do so. My ultimate point is, don't take up arms upon a Princess that are just making mistakes. It is wrong yes, and she needs to be replaced, yes. But not like this. Trust me, fighting a revolution this early will only make things much, much worse.
  16. Ahem, well, may I make an example of some of our legendary leaders that made huge mistakes? John F. Kennedy- Bay of Pigs invasion Gen. Bernard Montgomery- Operation Market Garden Hannibal Barca- Attacking Rome in the first place Julius Caesar- Laying siege to Gaul. (Later sparked a flame that led to the Roman Civil War) Pope Urban II- The Crusades, all of it. It was a massive failure to Europe. Gen. James Deveruae- Battle of Wake Island My point is, some of the great leaders we look up to, has made some stupid and silly mistakes. I doesn't really mean that they are no longer great, or Tyrannical. And how do you know that Luna isn't hiding any secrets? Of course, you wouldn't know, because they are secrets. I mean, we've barely seen her on the show itself. Seems pretty shady to me.
