  1. Actually it's ten times more than what I said! Learn to math!
  2. Maybe. I'm probably buried under the massive amount (5) contacts you have.
  3. Sparks glanced at Valen, a bit of worry in his eyes. The younger colt seemed to be rather shaken up, though, fortunately, relatively unharmed. "I was near the middle of the airship. Honestly, I'm a bit surprised it crashed at all. Most of the parts in this thing were NSI made and... well, I generally expect better from such 'high quality' equipment," he said with a slight chuckle obviously saying 'high quality' with a trace amount of sarcasm. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Valen," Sparks continued, "May I ask why you were heading to Stalliongrad? It is a bit of an odd place for a young rebenok such as yourself to be traveling to such a place." He continued to talk, figuring that conversation could perhaps calm the young foal down at least a bit. "I myself am from Stalliongrad, where, until recently, I had spent my entire life. I work at Northern Storm Industries as an engineer, and am currently living in Manehatten for my work. I am simply visiting my home." "And what about yourself?"
  4. Sparks had already eaten a fair amount of food from the buffet - having spent such a long time on his own and homeless, he had learned not to waste any opportunity to eat, even if food did come a bit easier these days - but he didn't want to be rude to Pathfinder and Snowfall. After Pathfinder had rudely treated him like a younger colt again, he stood up, murmuring, "I'm not that young..." before heading over to the table. He glanced over to Pathfinder and frowned as he noticed that she was grabbing almost all of what was left at the table. He meagerly grabbed a small played and filled it with a modest portion of food, quickly eating it down, before sitting back down at his previous seat next to the food table, picking his puzzle box back up along with his tools, strapping his toolbelt back around his waist and stuffing the cube back inside. He sensed that the party was winding down a bit and didn't anticipate staying much longer. It would be good to head back to his home near the Stalliongrad University. Meeting Pathfinder had been an interesting experience, he had to admit, but he couldn't help but sense that Pathfinder was the kind of pony he'd prefer to be with in very, very minute doses.
  5. I am obviously participating in this thread in the role of the great artist and competition judge, Picture Perfect. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
  6. First, allow me to apologize on the matter of the alcohol issue - I myself was rather unsure on the issue, and simply acted on my own personal judgement. Again, my apologies. Your character history has been greatly expanded on and looks much more like a completed application! Your cuite mark story is well thought out, and I enjoyed reading your character history and the cutie mark story, and I feel you have adequately answered all of the vital questions I had about the application. There is only one more slight issue I notice that I feel could be expanded on. In her personality, you state she was often disdained by the other blueblooded children and often spent more time with the poorer foals. This somewhat contradicts your character history, which states that she spent her entire life sheltered in a mansion (presumably away from the lower classes)- when would she have gotten the opportunity to spend time with those less fortunate? Second, when describing the various parties she attended, you made her out to be very popular, despite the fact that you mentioned that other bluebloods disliked her. There is nothing wrong with this application; this is just something for you to consider.
  7. Good morning. You have a pretty nice application here, but it does have a few things that could be worked on. The biggest glaring issue is this: Alcohol is not allowed in the mane RP, I'm afraid to say. Although you didn't mention it directly... I just wanted to make that clear. If it isn't something that would appear in the show itself, it probably would not appear in the Mane RP (with a few exceptions, alcohol not being one of them). Second, I feel that the history could certainly be expanded on. Although you mention in brief how she got her cutie mark, it is not enough - generally speaking, an entire paragraph (if not more) should be dedicated to a cutie mark story - and all you have is a sentence (not even). Tell us more about how she got her cutie mark - who did she serve? Why did it cause her cutie mark to appear? How did she feel? General questions like this are good to ask. Her backstory in general could be expanded upon a bit more. You mention she became dissatisfied with her life - perhaps you can expand more on the why, not just the effects? Perhaps you can tell us a bit more about the "Fiery Vine"? What is it like? You have the basics of a great character - now just expand on it. Ask yourself the vital questions (who, what, how, where, when, why?), and you should be able to grow and expand. I also have a question relating to her personality. You state that she can be vain and narcissistic, yet you also mention that she views most ponies as her equal. Perhaps narcissistic is not the word you were looking for? Narcissism is specifically the condition of being extremely self-absorbed - and likely a bit anti-social. Perhaps a different word would be better - maybe arrogant?
  8. Sparks promptly fell over from Pathfinder's hard tug, sending him flat on his back on the ground. Blushing, he pushed himself up to the ground and stood to the side, watching the two of them for a few moments, blushing, entirely unsure as what to do next. He simply nodded and said, "Oh, th-thank you..." before continuing to watch the dance of the two ponies. That was, until Snowfall turned towards him and suggested another dance. He promptly shook his head, a blush heavy on his face. "Nyet! No... I'm fine, believe me - I think I've had enough dancing for one night," he chuckled, "I'm actually feeling a bit exhausted after that. Pathfinder sure is a... rigirious... dancer." He grinned again, and took a few steps back, hoping not to be kidnapped by Pathfinder for yet another dance or other crazy activity. He got the sinking feeling that the other NSI employees in the room were staring at Pathfinder and Snowfall and, by extension, himself. He began to wonder if Pathfinder's behavior was appropriate for such a party. Judging from the looks of the ponies, he would have to guess no, but then again, what could he know? Sparks had never been to a party, much less a company party - perhaps this is all perfectly normal, he reassured himself doubtfully.
  9. 1. Yay! 2. Not really. 3. N/A 4. Dipper from Gravity Falls! 5. Filly Twilight Sparkle. 6. Programming and designing games (though, this won't be a hobby for long). 7. Yes. I got in trouble for something I didn't even do and got a detention. It sucked. 8. WAY too many to list here! 9. Modest Mouse 10. Doctor Who theme. 11. My favorite hero is The Doctor. My favorite villain is Q. 12. Rarity. 13. The Gravity Gun from Half-Life 2. 14. All the time. 15. Yes, I often talk to myself when frustrated or doing difficult work (like math). 16. Can't really decide this!
  10. Been watching Gravity Falls for a while now and I have to admit that it is possibly my favorite cartoon currently on air - better even than ponies right now (though once Season 3 comes out that opinion may change). The art is phenomenal, and the humor can both be clever and incredibly slapstick at once. Mabel is also adorable.
  11. I've gotta say that besides MLP:FiM, Gravity Falls has got to be the greatest cartoon currently airing on TV. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
  12. Whose turn is it to post, exactly? I'm not entirely sure where to go from here.
  13. I'd like to be put down for my only current character, Sparks. I'm about to write an application for another character that I'd like to tag along, though that may take time to get approved and all.
  14. Sparks was still panting from the crash, his body still in a state of adrenaline and near-shock from the crash. He glanced over to Valen and nodded. "Da... I th-think I'll be fine," he said, his Stallongrad accent now a bit more apparent. Sparks couldn't help but feel somewhat in awe of the young foal that sat next to him; for someone so young and clearly afraid, he had shown great courage in running back into the crash and helping the survivors, even if his efforts were somewhat wasted. He glanced back out towards the crash, pleased to notice that the majority of the ponies seemed to be well clear of the crash. It seemed that the military ponies were those still in enough shape to provide assistance to the wounded and those otherwise unable to assist. If he could, Sparks would have instantly leaped to his hooves and offered any help he could. Of course, much to his frustration, he was currently infirm and unable to provide any assistance. He pulled his tool belt off and opened it, inspecting its contents and sighed in relief to discover all of his tools were there, including some extra warm blankets which could prove to be immensely useful. After all, winter was coming. He turned back to Valen and said, "Spasibo - I mean, Thank you for the help... M-my name is Sparks. What is your name?"
  15. Sparks was almost literally thrown around as Pathfinder "danced", if you could call it that. Sparks desperately tried to untie himself and pull away as Pathfinder did her horrific... thing... but, alas, Pathfinder's knot was far too strong to be untied by Sparks's underdeveloped magic and muscle. He sighed in relief as Snowfall approached, hoping that she would untie him and end this ridiculous dancing. It was much to Sparks's dismay, of course, when no such thing happened, as Snowfall began to dance with Pathfinder. To be fair, this time the dancing was actually, well, dancing, but unfortunately, Sparks was likely as gifted as Pathfinder in that area of expertise. He wound up quite literally following along, blushing in embarrassment at his rather embarrassing (though hilarious) predicament. After a few moments of dancing, Sparks cleared his throat and nervously said, "Uh, izvinite, sorry, but this is just a little um... ah, awkward." He smiled sheepishly and once again tried (and failed) to untie himself.
  16. Windows 8 is okay. That's all. It's nothing really special. I mean, you can switch to a Windows 7 view (but pressing the start button will take you to the "metro" thing). I personally will be sticking with Windows 7 for a long time to come - it has served me well - but Windows 8 is a great thing for Tablet PC's which, I hate to admit it, are the future of computing.
  17. Sparks sat at a table outside of a small cafe in the University district, sipping a warm cup of hot chocolate, smiling to himself happily, his nice, grey, fuzzy hat over his head, covering his ears and keeping him warm, though to be fair, it wasn't horribly cold outside, at least not for a native Stalliongrad resident such as Sparks. The young intern had gotten some time off from his job at Northern Storm Industries up in Stalliongrad, and, like a bird, he decided to travel south for the winter to a relatively warmer location. He hadn't traveled much outside of Stalliongrad - he had only really been to Manehatten - so he decided to visit Fillydelphia. Fillydelphia was vastly different from both Manehatten and Stalliongrad. Smaller than both cities, and obviously far older, the city had a certain academic culture about it - a culture that Sparks had to admit he loved. The University of Fillydelphia was approximately the same size of the one in his native home of Stalliongrad, and he was certain that it's academics could easily rival the University of his hometown. Another thing that interested him was the prospect of visiting the Museum - although Stalliongrad had a rich history, no one had really bothered to collect it all and construct a museum. History had always been a fascination for Sparks, a bit of a hobby to go alongside his career as an engineer. With a smile, he gulped down his hot chocolate and got up, beginning to head in the direction of the Museum...
  18. Sorry for not posting guys, I've been really busy... Sparks is out of the Airship, his legs currently injured.
  19. That's fine, and I wasn't aware you were dyslexic, my apologies. Can you add those reasons as to why he moved to Canterlot by editing it into your actual application post? Thanks! Another issue I have is his teleportation capabilities- most unicorns magical powers are restricted to relate to their special talent, and your pony's special talent is evidently music. I fail to see how teleportation exactly relates to music - please remember most Unicorns are actually not very powerful mages!
