I Feel like I'm almost over my cold! To celebrate this status update that so eagerly tempts fate and will likely result in me being dead tomorrow morning, I was considering trying to draw humanized versions of my ponies again... The only thing is that I'd like to try a more stylized and perhaps a bit quicker to draw style. I've been trying to go with detailed and realistic for my older human pictures... but realism is so time consuming!
What do you ponies think? Realism or cartoony?-

Realism is fine if what you're going for is artsy stuff. And by all means, try out realism from time to time. But cartoony stuff is good for drawing the reader into the story. The iconic nature of the toonish figure means that there's more room for people to fill in their own perceptions.
