You know, about two reviews ago I mentioned the fact that the rainbow thread that Rarity got in Rarity takes Manehatten, and now that I've seen this episode, my theory feels to have proven even farther. Not only that, but now I think I understand what the meaning of the objects are, which not only includes the virtue that the mane 6 represents, but also their has to do with their goals as a character. I do more on that later, but for now; let's get to reviewing.
So there is one thing that I think should be mentioned above all else, this episode is gorgeous. Everything is full of vibrant colors that, while really stand out, are easy on the eyes and add a great sense of the town of rainbow falls. The feeling of of the incoming event that is the Equestria Games, is actually quite nice and I feel kind of excited about it. It reminds me of the grand galloping gala from season 1. We hear about it a lot, but we didn't see it until the season finale. In fact, maybe the equestria games will be the season finale? I don't know, it's just a guess, but I'm sure we'll see it within season 4, or at least season 5.
Character development is an...interesting subject of this episode. The mane 6 act like they should, and Biceps acts they way I figured he would act, which was quite humorous at times, and I hope we get to see him again. The problem here is the wonderbolts, from what we've seen about them, they just act all over the place. They were pretty cool ponies in grand galloping gala who just seemed to attract a large crowd, then in the wonderbolt academy they were pretty accepting yet firm of their abilities, and now they seem like lying jerks who are still somewhat accepting. I just don't know what's going on with them. I guess maybe they're a bit like rainbow dash, and all three of these episodes are just showing off different parts of their personality, and I could just be being nit picky.
Now the last thing I want to point out is how amazing the story is. Like Rarity takes Manehatten, this episode has a very good story that really picks at the main characters (in this case; Rainbow Dash.) weakness and strength. This is something that I absolutely love. When a character gets an episode centered around a weakness of theirs, they should improve upon, turning the weakness into a strength or just make it nonexistent all together. It's something we've seen before, but then was always brought back as the weakness in another episode. This episode, just like Rarity takes Manehatten, picks at the worst weakness that the character has, and also tempts the character to fall into that weakness by using their life goal. Rarity wanted to be a fashion star, and Rainbow Dash, wanted to be a wonderbolt. This makes the trial episodes much better than most other episodes in the entire series.
Now this episode had very few problems. It's an amazingly crafted episode, built with such great character development and fantastic story telling. I think these episodes are just awesome. Everything is done correctly, and this episode is not something to sneeze at. Personally, I don't think it's better than Rarity takes Manehatten, Princess Twilight Sparkle, or the return of harmony, but it does a very good job, and it totally makes it onto my top ten list. I give this episode my reviewer rating of: 9 out of 10. This episode is fantastic. This has been Neo Reviews, thanks for reading, have a good evening, and take care.

    (Warning: Spoilers!)
Star Spiders, and hall of hooves, and an organ outside, oh my! Castle Mane-ia was certainly a very good episode. Not only did it follow up on what happened during the season premiere, instead of ignoring it, it already gets a few brownie points! Referencing past episodes won't just make an episode good though, there were a lot of other good things in the episode that I really adored, and thus I will begin the reviewing process.
So one thing I like is the story and characters. Every character is going to the castle because of something that greatly is related to their personality. Since these stories differ from one another I'm going to just give a summery for why everypony is going.
Twilight is researching about the chest they found in the season premiere. she gets a letter from Celestia saying that there might be a book about it in the castle of the two sisters. She takes Spike and together they go on an adventure!
Rainbow Dash and Applejack are competing to be the most daring pony. Which could be a reference to daring don't. (Season 4 Episode 4!) They go into the castle and play the "First one to leave loses" game. Of course we know how this turns out, with hilarity ensuing.
Rarity is going because she got a 'tip' that there are tapestries that she wants to restore in there. She tells Fluttershy that it's important so she comes along to, with Angel the bunny, who doesn't act like a complete brat in this episode. Angel goes missing during the events and that's the reason they are prowling around the castle, after they've been scared enough to leave. (Or in Rarity's case, annoyed enough.)
I enjoy the different stories and how they all connect. Except for Angel, everypony acts like they should so far. Though it bugs me how Twilight got good at flying already, but I guess she learned during the season 4 premiere...I guess. Oh, and Pinkie Pie? Well...eh. I was kind of hoping for somepony else but I'm okay that she was who she was.
The design of the castle is amazing, I love the decor and the atmosphere of the place. It really reminded me of Twilight's terror time, back in the Nightmare Night 2013 event. Then I got depressed because I remembered that I got hit with a fish during that RP. I will never let that die, Bellosh!
There wasn't actually anything that bad in the episode, granted maybe Twilight could have found something about the lock, to hint at something in the future, but hey; I asked for subtlety in my review of the first two episodes, guess I finally got it.
Also something that I'm not particularly enthralled about; the mane 6 are going to keep a journal! I assume that this means our 'dear princess Celesta,' letters are going to be replaced with ''dear diary' entries. That's good, I guess. I never really had an opinion on the letters, but it does teach kids things, so It's good. Sometimes my little sister will just recite them randomly which is adorable.
I do have a few questions about the episode though. Since I don't have anything bad to say about it, it did leave us with a few questions. So let's make a list!

Who was the hooded pony we saw in the end?
Will the elements of harmony/chest of harmony be mentioned more?
Twilight lives in Ponyville, yes? For a while, I thought she lived in the Canterlot castle.
Wouldn't Celestia know about the book if it was in there? If it mentioned the elements of harmony, wouldn't it be best to take it? Part of the letter that Spike received doesn't feel quite right to me. I mean she could have forgot about it, or maybe she hasn't read all the books in there yet. I don't know, it just feels off for me.
Could this mean that there's going to be a season arc?

I'm sure there will be more questions to come. Anyway, the quality of this episode was amazing. I'm glad I got to see it, and I'm glad that things have gotten this could. If the quality of this season stays like this, I'll be very impressed. It may become my favorite season so far. It's a fine episode, one that I can't give a bad report on, and it anything that isn't good, is good enough for me. So guys, I give this episode my reviewer rating of 8.5 dismembered hooves out of 10! No seriously though, does anyone else find it creepy that there are severed pony legs mounted on the walls? This has been Neo Reviews, thanks for reading!

    (Warning: Spoilers for the episode.)
THEY'RE THROWING PANDAS AT US, THIS SEASON! First we have looks in the past, Discord showing up, the castle of the two sisters, and now we get a Daring Do episode! Oh my Luna, this season is amazing so far. As I've said before this season has a lot of momentum going for it, and this episode just carries it on. It also introduces a brand new race! The...cat...things...of egypt...I don't know. I just find them interesting. Not to mention that we got a very interesting action episode that wasn't a season finale or season premiere. Not to mention we got our first diary entry from Rainbow Dash. So then, let's analyze the episode.
We begin the episode with Rainbow Dash fanning over the next Daring Do book being published. When she walks in on the rest of the mane 6 having a random holiday party...or something. Anyways, when Rainbow is told that the next book has been delayed for two more months, she flips her hooves and decides to proclaim to Twilight that she is the biggest Daring Do fan. Twilight and her get into a bit of a nerd fight and then they decide to head towards A.K yearling's house. When they arrive they find a giant mess, along with A.K yearling who eventually turns out to be Daring Do. This is awesome. The story of the episode is quite interesting and is full of references. Not to mention it gives me a real reason to ship Daring Do X Rainbow Dash.
The episode gives us some new information on a new species of Equestria. Although, it looks like we only really got to see one. I'm not quite sure what his race was called though, only that he's some kind of alien, cat, pony, thing. I don't know, but he was really cool, and I hope to see more of this species at some time. We also got to see an odd kind of pony tribe that seems to work for the egypt thing, so that was pretty cool as well.
A.K yearling's pretty cool character. She lives in what I assume is Whitetail woods, but I don't know for sure. We learn that she is Daring Do, and she's quite the thinker. She's rich and famous, she's a reference to one of my favorite author's of all time, and she has a great sense of fashion. Plus she has her whip, and her whip is awesome.

(I secretly hope that whoever plays her does this.)
Alright, so this episode was pretty good. It's good to the point where I don't know what exactly to talk about in this review. So it's kind of short. However the episode does have a few problems here or there, but it's nothing I will put against it, since most of them are so small. The animation was pretty good, as were the characters, story, and fan service, but it everything else was pretty normal. That being said, it still does a very good job of keeping season 4 as one of the best seasons yet. I look forward to next saturday, for the next episode. With everything in mind, this episode gets my reviewer rating of 8 whip cracks out of ten. Very well done. This has been Neo reviews, thanks for reading.

    Warning: Spoilers
I'M DONE! I'M SO DONE! HOW THE...I DON'T EVEN...WHAT JUST...WHAT! This episode is probably my favorite Cutie Mark Crusader episode so far, and why for the love of Luna, did Scootaloo not get her cutie mark? Oh right...hasbro. Well anyways, let's actually get to the review!
So the story of Scootaloo getting picked on because of her wings was really ingenious. It's basically a disability story that some kids will have to deal with. It's only made even better because I remember getting picked on for being dyslexic and not being able to read or write like anyone else. I'm sure that almost anyone can relate to this story and it's because of this that the whole episode can be looked at so much better. You really feel for scootaloo as she throws away everything that she was good at.
Also this is throwback to the episode, games ponies play, which actually...was not a good episode of season 3, at least compared to this. We get to see Mrs. harshwinny again and that's pretty good. I do wonder about Rainbow Dash though. She says that she was the flag carrier for the cloudsdale games but didn't she say in games ponies play that cloudsdale didn't get to host the games? That was kind of the whole drive of Rainbow Dash in the episode. I mean maybe they got to hold it at a later time but...it just doesn't make sense. It takes away from Rainbow's drive in the episode.
The song, hearts like horses is also really good, and really meaningful. It really seems like a better version of the old CMC theme song, which pretty much talked about their despair. However, this one is much more about their friendship and the strength they have together. They song is much better than most of the other CMC songs and I will always keep it in my favorites playlist.
Overall this episode does not disappoint. Momentum for season 4 is flowing strong, and this episode keeps up with it. I love the episode. This was definetly needed for Scootaloo's character, and I'm so glad they did this. Now if only she could realize that HER CUTIE MARK IS FOR HER SCOOTER AND NOTHING ELSE! Anyways it's time for that grand old number that everyone likes so much, for whatever reason. This episode gets my reviewer rating of 9 out of 10! Amazing episode, amazing character development, but I'm confused a bit about what Rainbow said. This has been Neo Reviews, thanks for reading.

Hah, does anyone else get it? The first episode was where the Mane 6 go back to the old castle was called Castle Mane-ia. I mean that was really nice of them to hint at something, the next time they go back to the castle, makes my heart jump with glee.
Anyways, we got a really nice episode here. Not only did it reference some of the greatest super heroes of all time, but I actually understood the references the first time I watched it. It took me three time before I got the chocolate rain reference in the season 2 premiere. This episode had references, a new villain, and some nice action. Does it hold up to the rest of the season? Well...no. As much as I like this episode, I just can't say that I would put it in the same boat as the past five episodes. I mean, I knew this was coming. We can't have a season with perfect episodes all around. That's not to say this episode is bad, it's quite enjoyable, but personally I don't think it was as good as Castle mane-ia or Daring Don't.
Let's not stall anymore, I want to get to the good part. The story was one that I really liked. Having call-backs to Celestia's old castle (Prediction: Twilight's new castle) is always a win for me, makes me smile every time I see something like that. The world of maretropolis is very nice, and while I don't know who some of the ponies are supposed to be, I like all of the power ponies. Our new MANE villain is also very humorous. I got a joker feel from her and it's very nice to see a villain who doesn't have some kind of weird magic. Nope this one's just an earth pony with a weird mane and some science. Although, does anyone else think she sounds like Luna? Oh well, the rest of the story was pretty good...until Fluttershy hulked out. I don't know why but the story just seemed to drop from my approval at that time. She looked ridiculous as a hulk. After that...well that was pretty much the end. Spike gave his lesson learned and then everyone laughed and went back into the world, like they always do.
The episode left me kind of frustrated with questions. Who sold the comic book? Is this something normal ponies can do, or is there someone behind all this? Normally I enjoy being left with questions, but not in this episode. I feel very frustrated about all this. Sometimes I'd like for simple questions to be answered right at that moment. I understand if there are some questions they don't want to answer for plot points but really? *Sigh* Let's just move on to the next thing...
Well...there isn't really a next thing to discuss. The rest of the episode was really neutral for me. I don't know if it's because of all the family stuff I went through today or if it's just the episode, but at this moment I feel pretty "meh" about the rest of the episode. There's a lot of promise for Celestia's castle now, and you can tell that there is something going on with a sub plot. I guess you could say this was a good episode for spike, since a lot of people leave spike out of most of the main characters in the series. People even consider Celstia, Luna, and Cadence more important than Spike. While in Equestria they are, I still feel like Spike is a more important character, since he does appear in more episodes than the princesses. I guess I could say those things. Anyways, this episode get's my reviewer rating of 6/10. It's not bad...but it's not all that good. This has been Neo reviews, thanks for reading.

*Notices people doing reviews on canterlot.* Oh...I guess I'd better write my review. After all I am the king of reviews! (Only because I had no competition when I first started...)
So; bats! Not only did this start a brand new meme for the fan base, but now we also have a new "species" that some new RPers might actually try to put in World of Equestria, even though that won't fly...no pun intended. Now I said in my power ponies review that the momentum for season 4 finally stopped, and this episode doesn't exactly bring it back, it's a very good start and this episode isn't bad, but I still don't like it as much as Castle mane-ia. Now lets get down to the nitty gritty.
Now then the plot in this story was...alright. There are so many character flaws that I can't even get my head around it. I mean this episode pretty much revolves around Fluttershy and Applejack. For anyone who doesn't know; Applejack is my least favorite character. Ever since episode 3 in the series, I have always disliked Applejack. Now in this episode not only did Applejack act incredibly unlike herself, but so did the rest of the mane cast! Fluttershy, despite her friends ability to sway her, should not have used the stare on the bats. She's only used it in dire circumstances, against a cockatrice and Discord. Furthurmore, Rainbow Dash only does this because of the cider, and as much as I like episode callbacks, SHE WOULDN'T HAVE DONE THIS JUST BECAUSE OF CIDER!

    Commencing Rant Mode

Some element of harmony Rainbow Dash is! Apparently the only thing she really cared about in this episode was the cider! Her character shows no signs of her even really caring about objects over her friends homes. There is no way in hell that Rainbow Dash would do this all because of the cider and not even give two moons about the fact that these bats are going ruin Applejack's farm. While we're on the subject of the rant, why don't we talk about Twilight's spell, hm?
So what your telling me is that no unicorn has ever performed this spell with another pony around them? Not even a farmer or anything of the like? No, I don't think so. The explanation for flutterbat seems like it was just shoehorned into the plot so they would have a reason for this entire thing. Plus shouldn't the spell leave a warning for this? None of this makes sense!
    Okay Rant's over...now let's talk about everything that's good.
The song, stop the bats, is amazing. It reminds me of this is halloween, from the nightmare before christmas. I've got it already put into my pony playlist and my working music playlist that I have set up for when write reviews. It's my favorite song, but it is in my top five songs. The song is so nice and the tune is catchy. I also love the animations for it. Like how everyone is dark except for Fluttershy.
Now let's play the raridash shipping game! In the song Rainbow Dash joins after Rarity decides to voice her opinion, and while that may be for cider, we can also look at Rarity's line when she gets scared while searching for what's still destroying the forest. "I think I'll go check on Rainbow Dash." She says that when she's scared, furthuring the ship. There you go Phil/Rairty/Raridash/Chrysalis/Twicane/Saber/Rainbow Dash.
Okay, so this episode was quite nice. While the story makes me want to rage quit, I still enjoy a lot of the episode. The song was good, animation was nice, but the story still needs work. So let's end this, ladies gentlemen, this episode get's my Reviewer rating of a 6/10. Needs work, a lot of work, but I'll rewatch it just for the song. This has been Neo Reviews, thanks for reading!

There were a lot of great things in this episode. We got to see an old rival of Rarity's, we got to see a city that we've heard a lot about, and we got Rarity to get tested on her generosity, plus she got that spindle of rainbow thread that I believe may be a key to the lockbox from the season premiere, that or it just shimmers oddly.
So we're going to start off by looking at the song since it was near the beginning and I want to talk about it. The song was pretty good, both the reprise and the main part of the song really fit the episode and the character. I like the song, and it is in my playlist of pony songs but it's not in my top ten, though it's quite catchy and I love tune.
Now we have the character, Coco pommel who is really interesting. I feel like she knows more than we think. Of course she may just be a normal pony. Though the fact that she gives Rarity the sparkly thread makes me feel like she knows what it is, or that she was given it by somepony else. Either I think we might be able to see her again, with maybe a bit of a different role. Either way, we have 1/6 keys done! (I think)
Now, I don't know many people into fashion, in fact I only know about 3 people into it. However a lot of the ways they act in the show seem accurate to the ways I've seen my friends act during times like this. Especially my friend Winterose, who acts a lot like Rarity does already, and this episode kind of just proves it. The storyline was also quite nice in this episode. I love how the characters act, I like the song, the new characters, (especially the secretary) and the city. So let's take a look at the overview and finish this review up.
Before we finish this though, I do want to point out how rude they were to Twilight. Normally I wouldn't mind since they are supposed to be pretty mean, but now they're being mean to Princess Alicorn Twilight Sparkle. Shouldn't they know that she's a princess since, you know, wings and horn? I thought they would address Twilight being an alicorn more in this season but so far, no dice. That's not necessarily a bad thing mind you, but it's still something to ponder over.
Everything in this episode was fabulous! It somehow manages to get the momentum from flight to the finish back. The characters didn't step out of there personalities, the music was fantastic, the city of Manehatten looked amazing, everything was good. I'd say this episode could rival my favorite episodes, and it makes 2nd in my favorite slice of life episodes. The number one spot; is taken by suited for success, another amazing Rairty episode. Man, they make some really good Rarity episodes, why can't applejack get some of that? Also just wanted to say that I read Starswirl's review and he pointed out that this was a raridash episode, and after some thought, he's right it is. Anyways, with all this in mind, this episode get's my reviewer's rating of a 9/10. Amazing episode, I still have very high hopes for season 4 and I look forward to the next episode! This has been Neo Reviews, thanks for reading.

    (Warning Spoilers!)
Yay...an apple pie episode. I'm so excited for this...whohoo...actually once you get passed that part, this episode gets much better, so much better. In fact, the momentum from Rarity takes Manehatten is still here. Things are going excellent for the season so far. So then let's begin this episode of Neo reviews!
So the fact that Pinkie Pie may be an apple family member is actually a good question. I mean when there is a chance that any main character is related to another main character, it gets interesting. Will we ever get conformation about it? I doubt it, but maybe when Inkie Pie shows up at some point, we'll get answers. I'd also like to point out that this episode's plot may have been better if we hadn't already had all the mane six be honorary apple family members, like it was said in super speedy cider squeezy 6000. I know it's not the same thing, but still, they are family members, just not technically.
I also love the in-fighting between the apples. It's interesting to see everything they fight over, and how they talk to each other.. Besides Applebloom and Applejack, we've never seen the apples in a conversation with one another that many times, so this makes it pretty interesting. We also got to see Golden Delicious, and she's just swell, isn't she? She's a horder, she's a cat lady, she's senile, and just about everything else you could think of. I may need to write an app to play her, she's so cool. No I'm not sarcastic, I love Golden Delicious.
And how about that song, hm? I loved it in the animatic, and I love it in this episode. My 2nd favorite singing voice is applebloom (Next to Rarity obviously) and this song really does her justice. She sounds amazing in this episode. So far, considering the CMC theme, hearts as strong as horses, babs seed, and any other song in the series that she's in, I think this is my favorite song sung by her. It's a very good song, not my favorite, or even in my top ten, but still it's a pretty good song, and I don't think that it's just something to brush off. It's a very nice episode.
Now to finish this off, this episode does a very good job at showcasing the relationship between Applejack and Pinkie Pie. Even though it is partially an applejack episode. (Spoiler alert: Applejack's my least favorite character.) Once you get passed that though, you get a very high quality episode with everything looking nice and sounding nice. Speaking of which, did anyone else notice a change in sound quality, I don't know if it's because I watched this episode in HD or not, but everything sounded different, even the theme song. Anyways, the story is nice, the song is awesome, and the relationships and character portrayals are great! This episode gets my Reviewer's rating of an 8/10...wow I've been giving out a lot of 8s this season. I either need to heighten my standards or lower them. Oh well, next review. This has been Neo reviews, thanks for reading, have a good night, and take care.

WARNING: I'm going to have to say that this video is NSFW, because I'm not sure if it is. I say something that means Manure and starts with a C. I don't find that as a curse word and now that Canterlot is in america, I don't know anything anymore...
    Anywho, the video.

So then...we're just gonna ignore the absence and get right to the review!
Dusk's Dawn is an interesting title that has received it's fair share of reviews, most of which being bad. While observing and taking notes on the video, I began to realize that the fan product wasn't as bad as Snowdrop, in fact I don't know what my opinion on Dusk's Dawn is. Don't get me wrong, when it does something wrong, it's really, really bad, but not everything is bad and some of the things that it does, I have to give it credit for. The title is certainly ambitious and I praise it for being so bold as to go outside the box, but it does have it's problems...
So let's just get this out of the way, the voice acting in this is terrible. There are some voices that aren't that bad, but there isn't anything too good in this. There was a Pegasus with an accent in the video who I never understood, some of the voices seem like their reading off of the script, and I swear there is a line that just uses google translate's bot as a voice. I never really liked any of the voices, and most of which were annoying. I understand that you might not be able to get people like Elliemonty, but I know that lines can be read and acted better than that, and I can say that from experience.
Moving on, the animation was...well...not very good. I felt like someone had just copied and pasted the pony creator products into flash and tried to do something, and while that may work for some things, it doesn't work here. There are many times where things seem off and not right, especially when it comes to the wand (I think it was a wand). I have no idea what it really is, and that's a problem. It looks somewhat like a sonic screwdriver actually, but that doesn't make any sense.
Now let's talk about what I can appreciate here. This video isn't afraid to think outside the box. Most animations I see are fairly boring and stay relatively the same. Most include one of the main characters doing something, or include something that feels really slice-of-life ish, and there's nothing wrong with that, but after a while it gets tiring. This however, made me think it was gonna be a good fight. Seeing something like Swing tavi Swing, in a full animation was gonna be good, and I like that it was a little dark, but I was disappointed that there was no actual fight scene. I also like the song in the video, I like the idea and the general beat to it.
Now we can reflect on this. So what we have here is something that thinks outside of the box, has a decent song, but lacks good animation and voice acting. I personally don't hate it as much as I hate something like Snowdrop or Button's adventures. There are worse things out there, but I wouldn't tell you to show this to someone who hadn't seen anything in the fandom. There also was the problem at the end where one of the characters stumbles upon the elements of harmony, which kinda bugged me, but the series won't continute, so I'm okay with it. I know that's off topic, but I just wanted to bring that up somewhere in this review. Now then, I give Dusk's Dawn a 4/10, it needs a lot of improvement, but the idea isn't half bad and if it got a revival with some decent voice actors and better animation, I'd take another look again.
I'm sorry that it took so long to get this review out guys, but I just couldn't get motivated to do a review, and I think I actually tried to quit Canterlot at somepoint, but I'm not sure. I'm still here, and you guys are kinda stuck with me for a while now, so good luck with that.
Anyway, I'll see you guys at some point later, with the next review in the Hatred marathon, which may or may not be a fanfic...we'll see...

Warning: May contain Spoilers. You have been Warned!
Well last night me and my girlfriend went to go see Equestria Girls. (Her idea, not a brony. This is how much she loves me!) What did We think well I'll tell you in our review of Equestria Girls!
The story's like this: The Mane 6 + Spike go to the Crystal empire for I think a Princess Summit but it's never actually addressed. While staying there Sunset Shimmer steals Twilight's Crown and goes to Earth...or is it Equestria 2.0, Equestrarth? I don't know. Anyway Twilight has to go after her, get her crown back, and do it all in under three days OR THE MOON WILL FALL! and by that I mean the portal to Equestria will fall.
The art style of the show was pretty good. It reminded me of Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Littlest Pet Shop. While this is good and all I prefer the normal art style. It's not bad but could have been done a bit better.
The animation was really good. Better than most of what we've seen in the show. The swirls, and clicks, and dust, and explosions, and all the other stuff was animated amazingly and done very well. I loved every bit of it.
The characters were okay. I noticed that some of the things that had to be changed since they were humans and I'm okay with that but sometimes I think it could have been done better. Mainly Pinkie Pie but that's about it. Don't get me started on 'Brad', I totally hate that Guy! Look I love shipping characters together and all (Ship it like FedEx.) but Brad is ridiculous. They pull the 'love at first sight' card which isn't supposed to happen. He literally appears in two scenes then asks Twilight to the Dance. They don't even speak to each other that long. How does that work?
The background characters made me squee like a fanboy everytime I saw them. Vinyal Scratch appeared a lot as well as the CMC but Octavia was missing, as was Derpy and Doctor Whooves. Their are two scenes I want to talk about here though. There is one scene were Sunset says "like the last girl who thought she was better then me." Which make me automatically think Trixie. Then I hoped Trixie would show up. She did and I died. Twilight's trying to get something out of a vending Machine and Trixie shows up and says. "The great and Powerful Trixie will now get a snack!" Then she puts a coin in the vending machine and does just that. I died laughing. The other scene is of pictures of Sunset Shimmer which I swear are references to villains before. The first one is just her smiling and acting innocent which reminded me of Discord in Keep calm and Flutter on. The second one is an evil smile which reminded me of Queen Chrysalis disguised as Cadence and the last one is her laughing manically which was king Sombra. I love this. There's even a reference to Nightmare moon were Twilight is talking to vice Principal Luna with the windows shut and it's really dark. She's acting like a villian and as soon 'brad' walks in the lights go on and Luna is a good guy again! I can't tell if it really is a reference but I'm going to say they tried.
The music was okay here. I mean they were pretty catchy but I think Magical Mystery Cure did a better job at this. I don't really remember any of the songs.
The story was easy to follow and was filled with High school Drama. Ironically as a High school student I could't relate to most of this. I could to the introduction of each group but nothing else like that happens at my school. It was pretty bad at doing this and was quite sad.
The Voice acting was amazing and I really loved all the voices, especially Rebecca Shoichet who did a magnificent job as Sunset Shimmer.
Dialogue was really good here but there were a few lines that made me remember this is a show for little Girls. Still Good Job!
Let me just get this out of the way: BRAD IS THE WORST PONY/HUMAN EVER! I know his real name is Flash Sentry but I hate it! They make this character unlike Twilight a lot but then they somehow start dating? How does that work?
Now Equestria Girls isn't a bad Movie, I've seen far worse and after you get past Brad it's really good to see all the references (Transformers!) and just have a good time. You may even meet a few more Bronies in your community. I do know that there was this one guy at the end of the movie who yelled "Rainbow Dash is best pony!" and then Someone else goes "No it's Applejack." Then "Vinyl Scratch is best!" Then I go "That's a weird way to say Twilight Sparkle!" then we all laughed and it was a good time. As much as I could try I can't hate this movie. It's MLP and it was done very well. Almost every factor that came out of this movie was good and I'm considering Buying this movie. A quote that My girlfriend says all the time is "Innovation Requires Risk." and I think that it did a good job at being innovative. I give this movie a B-. Well done but could be better. Work on the music a bit more, and make Brad better done and it works. It also get the Neo Seal of Awesomeness!

Well here we go! Now we're going to do something a bit different and give this episode a bit of a darker message. I was thinking about saving this for October but I'm doing it now, so let's get started!
So Story of the blanks starts with you playing as Applebloom, somewhere (Being outside or in the everfree forest.) you find Twilight who is taking an item to Zecora. She thanks you and also says that you don't want to be out in the dark. On your way home you encounter some fallen trees. Twilight tells you to wait there as she works but when you move up you'll find a filly who wanders into the forest, and as you follow something really creepy tingles down your spine.
The story at first was hard to understand, even after I played through the game again it was still hard to figure and piece together but I soon did figure out the real story was and I loved it. The concept of creepy things in equestria has always made me excited. I also do wonder how the first cutie mark was discovered and how other's reacted to it so such a thing.
The story does have some holes though, does Zecora know anything about this? Did Twilight see any of the events going on or was she being too focused on other objectives? Was it even real at all? These are the things that never really get answered. Since no one but Applebloom reacts to it I can't answer if it was true, and even a little talk at the end still doesn't answer anything because it was just a monologue, so if no pony else is talking did it all just go on in Applebloom's head?
Gameplay was interesting to say the least. I mean I know the game was horror but it was really easy and really short. There's one part where you might get stuck but other than that I don't think there is any other place that is too difficult. I did love a puzzle in the beginning of the game but that was the only puzzle and kind of made me depressed that it was the only one. I would have loved to see this event take place over a long time so I could play more but alas the gameplay is short and seems to be a running, puzzle game with only one puzzle. (Possibly two if you count the rock.)
The graphics of the game were meant to be in 8-bit and even in 8-bit it's kind of creepy, the whole aura about it coupled with the colours of the dark creepy forest or bright red fire really make it seem creepy. I happened to play it at 1 in the morning EST and I can say that I was creeped out. Also the designs of the ponies really fit into the setting as well.
Now to be fair I hadn't heard about this game before and while I did study creepypasta during a time before canterlot I purposefully did not want to read story of the blanks. Being an MLP creepypasta I just shoved it aside, gaming creeppastas were my favorite and I did read some others but never did I read any MLP creepypasta. That being said I was glad I gave the game a chance as it was fun to play and I did like it. However the game should be longer. (Though it should be set up for a sequel according to the ending.) With all of this in mind guys I give this game a:
    C+/B-...wait that's not right...
    I give this game a:
    7.7 out of 10
It's a good game that is short enough to be worth your time but I do think it should be longer or at least have sequels. (But don't go crazy like the Luna games, I still have nightmare about our princess of the night.) All right guys, so tell me what you think of the game in the comments below, here's a link the game:

and I'll see you all next time!

(Warning: The following review contains words written in character to an on going problem here at Neo's internet house. The words of Time Spinner are written in this manner however the words of Change Swipe are written as Neo's true thoughts. Enjoy...)
Warning, the following review is about a stupid problem that doesn't even make any sense with characters that seem incredibly annoying and a stupid, lady gaga knock-off!
Time Spinner, that's a horrible thing to say. Come on the episode wasn't that bad. It was actually pretty good.
Just what was so good about it?
You know what? Let's just review.
Now in this episode Rarity has a dress that she is making to show for a client named Photo Finish, a famous pony who knows about fashion...I guess. Rarity 'hires' Fluttershy at the last minute and Photo pays all of her attention, not to the dress but to Fluttershy. She takes Fluttershy and makes her a star while Rarity begins to get jealous of her.
The storyline is...well it's okay. Part of it makes sense but for the most part I don't really care for it. I mean yeah it's good for getting us from one place to the next but I don't think it's a highlight of the episode.
Plus it's stupid. The show was still being made for little girls at this time. right? So how would anyone be able to relate to making a dress and having their best friend become famous?
"I don't think that was point..."
The animation was also okay. Fluttershy walking down the catwalk for the last time in the episode sure was...interesting. However nothing else really made me go "Wow, that was pretty cool!"
Pinkie pie jumping out of random things really upset me. Wouldn't it be better if it was like NOT A PONY?
Rarity and Fluttershy are both shown to be really good friends in this episode. In fact I'd say they have the closest relationship we've seen so far in these reviews. We learn a lot about Fluttershy's kindness, her anger, and her shyness that we already knew about. We learn about Rarity's jealousy in this episode too and we learn that Fluttershy and Rarity go to the spa together once a week.
All of these could have been skipped over and no one would care. Besides everyone knows the best ship is...
    Yes?
I mean...Ships are stupid in this show, why would anyone ship anypony together. Further more when I ship it's better. I put a pony in a box, tape it up, and mail it to china. That's how you ship.
Dialogue and voice acting are very good in this episode and dare I say it, it's the best part of this episode.
    It's terrible.
Time did you like any part of this episode at all?
...Yes...Fluttershy is very adorable...but it's only in this episode, none of the others...
I feel if you want to show someone the ponies and introduce them to the show, don't start with this episode, but do make it one of the first to watch. With everything in this episode it's really hard to dislike but I don't think it's enough to make it the best episode of Season 1. This episode gets an 8/10. Needs a hint of work, a teaspoon of sugar, and a dash of rainbows to make it better but it's still one of my personal favorites, still not my total favorite though.
Can we go now? This internet Aether is starting to make me dizzy and I don't like it.
You don't like Spinning, Time SPINNER?
    (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ I'm done...
Time, wait! Oh uh...┬─┬ ノ( ゜-゜ノ) Don't leave me behind!

Oh my god, it been like 15 years since I've done a review. I apologize for that, I had finals for a bit then I was working over in the Sonic Fanon Wiki/RP site, then ended up in the powerpuff girls universe where they did nothing but beat me up and call me mojo or something...anyways, let's start the review!
It's hard to remember that we didn't get introduced to the CMC until this late. This is a really good episode that I can actually enjoy from the CMC. It has some good humor, good relation to Applebloom, CUPCAKES, and Peppermint Twist. The characters act the way I think they should and do for a while. Though the adults laughing with the kids during the party because they were blank flanks seems a bit cruel and un-normal. The song is one of my favorites, but don't try making cupcakes with that recipe, you'll end up with Baked bads... The art was nice, nothing too out of the ordinary but the colour scheme for the ponies here were interesting. The story should also be marked as important as this is the second Time cutie marks are mentioned and are actually explained in this episode, something we needed for the Magical Mystery Cure. The characters of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are jerks that do give off a bully feel that I like. This episode is a really good one and you can enjoy the CMC here for the first time. This episode gets a B in my grade book. Good story and concept, the execution was nice but it doesn't stand out from the crowd. Well now I have to write a review for Fall Weather friends, so I'll be back tomorrow. This has been Neo Reviews. Thanks for Reading.

Now we come to one of the arguably best episodes of MLP itself. I prefer another set of episodes but lets get on with the apocalypse!
Alright so the story is that Twilight goes to Rarity's to get a dress fixed that she says she is going to wear to the gala. Rarity takes it too far and makes everyone of the Mane 6 dresses. The story was really good at exploiting Rarity's Charity (Rhyme Time) and showing us how rarity acts to certain things, especially her wallowing. It's one of the goo things about this episode.
The animation of the fashion show (Take 2) is beautiful and well done. Plus the animations for the song Suited for success is really good too. I liked it.
The characters here are very true to themselves and it makes me smile at some of their comments, like rainbow's "And fluttershy's freaky knowledge of Sewing." Which makes a few thoughts fly through my head and make me chuckle...NOT THOSE THOUGHTS!
Voice acting was done superbly. Rarity's wallowing, The cheers of the crowd, and hoity toity's voice were excellent!
The song of Art of the Dress, is really good and is one of my favorites. I think personally that it still holds up against the other, songs in the show, it doesn't beat winter wrap up or Celestia's Ballad but it was still well done.
The lines were...okay there were a few bad one. My least favorite is the "I don't like it, I love it!" line that Rarity does. While it came off right it's always a line that I hate. However the other lines in the episode like Pinkie Pie's comments were nice and some Spike's comments were good too.
So rarity joined the cast of the ponies I like here and the song was fantastic as well as the story. So I give this episode my Reviewer rating of a B+. Well done and excellent. Wow this one was short. Well either way, This has been Neo Reviews, thanks for reading!

Who's!? I demand to know exactly who was responsible for this episode!
The moral of this story is probably one of the best things anyone could learn...kind of.
Let me explain when we get to the end.
The story is that Pinkie pie is having random feelings, twitches, etc that Twilight can't understand and hunts for the truth to the point where she evolves again. That's pretty much it without spoiling anything. How do I like it? Well...I don't. I think this story is kind of odd as we randomly end up in areas with no type of way of knowing where it really is. As far as I know froggy bottom swamp is in the everfree forest. Now I find my dis-interest of this episode to be disappointing as the continuity with previous episodes is awesome and along with derpy and pokemon, I should have liked the story but it just doesn't do that with me.
Animation was gorgeous, from pokemon, to twitches. to animals, and everything else. (Lab room equipment.) The animation was spot on.
While all the characters seem to act true to themselves, I think Twilight might be different. I feel like Twilight should have been more open- minded but isn't and that makes me feel odd. Twilight's been really open-minded before and after so why isn't she in this one? Though, maybe I'm just going crazy and this is Twilight.
The voice acting of Tara was extremely likable. Especially when Twilight makes all her annoyed comments and when she's having her break down: "That's not the dosy?"
Now we have the lines and what can I say? The conversations that go on are either hilarious or entertaining. There really isn't a line I hate.
So one other thing before I end it. Dat. Ending.
All right so here's the deal, I hate the lesson learned, plain and simple. As a christian I feel that I should share my religion with those who want to listen, not those who don't want to. If you want to learn about the bible or anything, I'll help you, if not, cool let's go play some video games. The fact that the lesson says to just accept things you can't understand seems like it's yelling at atheists and I disapprove of anyone making fun or hating on any one's religion. (Or lack thereof.) Maybe they were talking about something else but that's the way I interpreted it. I think the lesson would have been better if it was to not question other people's beliefs or if it was to accept your friends even if they believe something you don't. I don't know but this isn't a rant blog. With all of this in mind I give this episode my reviewer rating of C+. Could have been better, could have been worse. Wow I really need to hurry if I want to get to season 3 before season 4 starts...Well this has been Neo: Reviews, thanks for watching!
But wait! We're not done yet my fellow informationist, I have a proposal. You know what's better than reviewing by yourself? Reviewing with Friends! I'm planning on doing a review with ZigZag, who's a person not on canterlot, sometime in august and I thought, why stop there? So I'm asking for help! If anyone (and I mean anyone...) Wants to help with a review, send your thoughts in on Episode 16 or whatever episode I haven't reviewed that's next if your reading this from the future. Just send it to me and I'll do mine along with it, and you'll officially be a reviewer! (If you haven't reviewed before.) It's easy!

So...was rarity technically an alicorn during this episode? I've wondered why this spell isn't used more often, or why we never hear about this event again....wait...why does doctor whooves have wings?
Okay so the story is pretty much this; Rainbow Dash is going into a competition known as the young fliers competition. Only Fluttershy can go with her though, since only pegasi can walk on clouds. However through the use of two spells, the rest of the mane 6 are able to walk on clouds, and Rarity, through the use of the other spell, gets wings.
Now what do I think of the story? Well...it's pretty simple. Personally I don't care for the story that's in place here. Several things I do want to point is how she could do the Sonic rainboom, have thousands of ponies see it, even ponies in Manehatten and Canterlot, all as a foal, then it just disappears. As said by the 'bullies' it's just a myth, furthermore if the trick is that impressive, wouldn't rainbow dash only get better from there? These just seem like giant plot holes that don't make any sense. Also I do want to talk about the 'bulllies' for a second. For one why were they all bullying her in the first place? Another question, where we're the mares? Wouldn't they be in on the fun of making fun of Dashie? Why were they all guys? It's things like these that kind of remind me that this is a show for girls. The only thing I can think of is 'girl power!' yet it just feels wrong. I hate gender things like this, it's why I don't like some of the lines in ticket master. Applejack did say 'Aint that just like a boy' I absolutely cannot stand gender inequality.
On the other hoof, Animation is top notch and exceeds my expectation. The Sonic Rainboom and Rarity's wings look stunning.
The characters do seem to act like themselves which is exactly what I'd ask for in any episode.
The voice of everypony was quite nice and you can tell that a lot of the actors had fun with their lines.
Dialogue is okay. Like I said some lines do remind me of a kids show but most of the time it's alright.
So this episode, while many like it, I don't care for it all that much. Cannon wise it's a good episode but, it's just not my cup of tea. I can't talk much about this episode but it does add to another episode down the line a bit. Overall this episode was okay, I give this episode a 7.3 out of 10. I think it needs a bit more work. Well this has been Neo Reviews, thanks for reading!

  18. NeoExlucky
Hmm...something's not quite right here...I don't know what but for some reason I feel weird about this episode. I like it but and it was a really good episode, good song, great characters, believable story, but why doesn't it sit right? Oh well let's do this!
The story is this, Rarity's working on an order and Sweetie belle wants to help but Rarity won't let her. Fluttershy comes in with Rarity's cat (I can't spell her name.) and the rest of the CMC come in after a bit of banter betweem Rarity and Fluttershy. They talk about a sleepover, Rarity says they can't and Fluttershy offers to help them.
I have to say that this story is really interesting. I don't hate the CMC yet so this episode makes me really happy. The story reminds me of when I was younger and used to have sleepovers with my best friends. Anyways I like the overall story and I do believe that it makes the characters stay true to themselves.
Animation was stunning, the cockatrice turning ponies to stone, to the animations during the song, all to Fluttershy's 'stare' make this episode really good. Best of all it only gets better from here.
The characters seem okay here. The CMC are just like they always are, Rarity is like Rarity. Fluttershy and Twilight seem off to me. I don't know how but the stare, doesn't feel right for fluttershy. Maybe because she says that she can't control when she does the stare but does control it on discord in keep calm and flutter on. Twilight...I don't know. She doesn't seem right but...maybe it's the rock.
Voice acting was normal. Nothing to outstanding for the show now.
The Song "Hush now, Quiet now' is really good. I wish there was a real lullaby version of it and not just that one part because I would love to hear it. What we got was good though. I love the song, plus it gives us some insight on Sweetie belle as a character.
The lines well...they flowed really good for CMC and fluttershy but some of the lines that rarity did felt odd and a bit different.
Well this episode was an overall success. It seems to stay in the grey more than it should and if it was given a bit more of a push, I'd put it in a top ten, alas it isn't. So overall I give this episode a 7.5 out of 10. Needs just a tiny bit more work. Well now that's done here's your daily comic from Time Spinner!
    (The stage has been set...)
  19. NeoExlucky
Has anyone seen Time Spinner? I've been looking all over and I can't find him...oh well...let's go do this review, he probably got lost in the internet aether. (Where I live.)
The Show Stoppers is a nice episode that you can either love or hate. It's one of those episodes that I do enjoy though. The story goes like this:
The cutie mark crusaders are finding their cutie marks, and establishing a tree house that will become it's own landmark, after a few comical failures Twilight (and cherilee) suggest entering a talent show, which can only end in queen and failure.
I like the stories flow, it's very connected and well thought out, even for a CMC episode. It has that flavour of care put into it and it really seems to show. My favorite part might just be talent show's song. The references and animations were very charming.
The animation throughout the episode was pretty good. It had a few times where it could have been better but it was alright now.
Characters are pretty believable. Nothing bad about them so nothing to really say.
Voice acting for the CMC was...wow. Knocked by imaginary socks off my feet. Very well done.
The CMC theme is a song, so I should review it but...it's also a joke song. So...what do I do? For a joke song it was pretty good and got me to laugh at a few parts.
The conversations just kept coming and some of them were pretty good. Nice job Script writing team!
The episode is pretty good for a season 1 episode, still not my favorite but it was pretty good. One I would recommend a non-brony watch. (If they knew who the CMC were by now.) So with all of this in mind I give this episode my reviewer rating of 7.9. Just a little more work and...and...I'm sorry but am I getting bad at this? It's just...everytime I review something it makes me feel depressed, like I'm failing and not doing a good job. It's not just reviews either, I feel like I've lost my touch in RPing. I just don't feel that same spark I did when I RPed for the first time. Ever since the academy chapter 3 ended, I've not felt that same way...maybe I should just...maybe it's time I...

  20. NeoExlucky
(Warning the following is a true review written in a roleplay style. The following characters are Gadget and discorded Neo. Be warned that while this is written to further the review storyline but is also written still as a review.)
Come on Neo look, a dog and pony show, it's like one of your favorite episodes of the entire series.
What?! I think not! This entire show is stupid, not fun, and made for girls, why would I, a busy 16 year old need to watch a dumb girl's cartoon!
Look, Aselia said this is the only way to get you back, so we're doing this review.
These reviews are stupid too. There is absolutely no reason for them to exist.
    Oh my Luna...
The story is probably my favorite part of this episode, it's easy to follow, very believable and it reveals to us a new species that are quite interesting to roleplay with. Spike and Rarity are out collecting gems with Rarity's new and improved gem finder now with 20% less rocks, when suddenly they are ambushed by a bunch of Diamond dogs. Spike goes to collect the other mane 6 for help and Rarity uses her wits to outsmart the diamond dogs. Like I said, easy to follow and very nice. Neo what do you think?
It's stupid! The writers finally decide to tell us Rarity's special talent when we're almost finished with the first season! The idea behind it is stupid since no one bothered to mention diamond dogs, and Spike's being over ignorant as usual and trying to court with Rarity when everyone knows that she's already friend zoned him a long time ago.
    Anyways...
Animation is very top notch in this episode, what with the diamond dogs and their antics, the unicorn magic being used, and the caves that looked dazzling. The Voice acting and Dialogue were nice too, adding some really funny lines for the characters, and were delivered nicely.
    Yawn...boring, boring and boring.
    *Sigh*
Spike and Rarity, the stars of the episode, are developed a lot in this episode, from finding out Rarity's talent, too learning how far Spike will go for Rarity, the episode does a nice job of showing off these qualities between the two characters and while the other characters aren't represented all that much, it's nice to get a look at these two for a bit. I'm not even going to ask Neo his opinion since, it's clear what he'll say.
Now to me this episode is really important, mainly because this was the episode that caused some ideas to spark in Neo and helped with certain aspects of my development.
Quite the mistake I made. I hate making characters.
The episode is nice and manages to do everything right, for an episode with no song. I give this episode a 9.5/10. The reason it's only 9.5 is because the episode, while being very good, is one that I feel could have been expanded upon more. Plus it's never really got a callback made to it, which I think it should.
I give this episode a 1/10 because it's a stupid episode that is boring and is filled with so many plot holes!
Ugh, Neo no, let's just go. Next time Change Swipe and Time Spinner will be reviewing here.
  21. NeoExlucky
With 8 days left until season 4, I've decided to get back to work and at least try to finish season 1 in my reviews. We're going by a new system now, which is the old one. If you've read my review of Turnabout Storm, it's gonna be like that, except not as emotional. So let's get on with the show!
Fun fact: Over the barrel is the first episode that I watched on Television, it was the 11th episode I watched. Does that mean I'm going to go easy on it? No. Let's be honest here, Over the Barrel isn't the best episode of all time. It has it's charms but it over stays in welcome and there isn't enough in this episode for me to enjoy. While I love the inclusion of the buffalo, and appleloosa, there are also things that I do despise about the episode.
Giving us a new location of appleloosa is pretty good. I love the old western feel that this episode pulls off, and I don't know if it could have done the same thing in a location of, say; ponyville. It reminds of older TV shows that always had that one episode that took place in the wild west, where all the characters were different and didn't know each other, but they were still the same characters that they were in the normal episode.
The 'weapons' that the ponies of appleloosa used were quite humorous, I loved the apple pie throwing, it really reminded me of some older shows, but it also reminded me of clowns...I don't like clowns.
One thing I don't like is the story. The story of this all isn't very likable for me, it's not something I find myself watching with bated breath. I find it quite boring, and I would of liked it to have gone in other directions then the ones it did. Pinkie's share song helped with the story, but it just wasn't enough.
I don't like braeburn. I know a lot of people really like him as a side character, and a lot of people put him in some of the grossest ships I know. (Braemac and Appleburn.) Personally I find him very un likable and down right annoying at times. I will give him the 'mild west dances" joke though. I found that very funny.
Overall this episode is decent, at best. It has it's charming moments but overall I don't think it does anything. It makes my do-not-watch list and it's overall one of the worst episodes I've watched in season 1. That's not bad, mind you, the worst episode of mlp is in season 2, and there aren't many bad episodes in season 1. It still is one of my least favorite episodes though, and with all of this in mind, I give Over a Barrel, my reviewer rating of a 6/10. This has been Neo Reviews, thanks for reading.

    Warning: Spoilers
My little portal is a very charming web crossover series, crossing the worlds of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and the world of Portal. (No half life jokes please.) Due to it being a series, I'll be starting by reviewing every episode in a pair of two episodes. My Little Portal is done pretty well, with good animation that seems to capture elements from both it's parent's series, and has an interesting protagonist(s) but we're not their yet. The first episode features Cranky donkey and Pinkie Pie in Equestria Laboratories, with Pinkie throwing a party for the activation of the third AI based off of Discord. Suddenly there is a power surge, yet the Discord AI remains online. At first things seem fine, until the Discord AI begins harming everyone in the room, killing Pinkie Pie, and a random scientist stallion. While also knocking Cranky out. Whooves, another scientist, manages to escape and suits up to try and turn the old AI's on. Along the way he meets Rainbow Dash, where the two split up, Rainbow Dash is killed (Or becomes mostly dead) and Whooves is able to turn the other AI's on. Discord is shut down, and Cranky is sent away to continue testing on the moon, or that's what's implied.
Then we come to the real storyline in the second episode. It is revealed through a letter that Twilight will be going to the moon laboratories along with the rest of her friends that were at the old testing site. It is also revealed that Rainbow Dash is alive, and is being turned into...something, although we clearly see in the intro that she's being turned into a cyborg-like thing. Ten years later Pinkie Pie, who is now a personality core, accidentally re-activates the Discord AI who has now upgraded from Linux to Mac.Twilight is dispatched to find him and the elements of harmony, alongside Pinkie Pie.
Aright let's get this out of the way, no the voice actors do not sound like the official ones, but just like I have said with Turnabout storm, I don't need perfect matches of the official voice cast to make me happy. With the exception of Cranky, I enjoy every voice in this series, my favorite being Rainbow Dash and Whooves, but I really like Celestia's too.
The art style is also really good, I enjoy the cross between the two styles we were given, and it really makes me feel like the two worlds are one. If I had to make one complaint, it would be the AI bots from the first episode. They don't look as appealing to me as the ones in episode two, but it's only minor and we don't see the old AI bots for long.
The storyline is really good too. It's a mash-up between the storyline of portal and the storyline of MLP's first and second episode, with a few tweaks here and there. It somewhat reminds me of Kingdom hearts, where all the worlds have their own storyline, with a hint of kingdom hearts thrown in there. In fact this whole series reminds me of kingdom hearts, they combined two things that you think wouldn't be able to co-exist in the same world together, and yet it somehow turns how amazing.
And how about that soundtrack? Using the instruments that portal normally uses, with some of the mlp music just makes my ears melt in happy bliss. I can't even describe, just go look up the theme song and here it yourself, it's amazing.
Now with all this information I have to say, I can't wait for the next episode. We're waiting on episode 5 right now, and I can't wait, I just know it's going to be good. Christian Cerda, I tip my hat to you good sir, for you are a genius. Now I want to say one thing, this series seems to be missing something for me. When we take a look at Turnabout Storm, it was charming, it was complex, and there was a lot of room for character growth. I don't feel this series has achieved that yet. I feel like comparing the both of those series isn't possible, but they both are crossovers including My little Pony, so I will compare them. Comparing Turnabout Storm to My Little Portal is like comparing a stale piece of bread to a piece of fresh pizza. I think something that is missing might be the humor. See, in turnabout storm, there was times for comedy, and times for seriousness, but in My little portal it's all dark all the time, and that's not something I can totally agree with. With all this in mind guys, this game gets my reviewer rating of 7.5/10, needs some work, but I know there's still some room to grow.
Well, that was an interesting review. Now that that's over with I suppose I should review something else. So join me next week when we delve into the world of Button Mash, it's not gonna be pretty. So Ladies and Gentlemen, you have a wonderful evening, stay safe, and take care.

"It was a busy night in ponyville, foals went door-to-door getting candy from folks, many ponies held events that other ponies would go to and enjoy, and there was a nice peace in the air. Yet...something didn't feel right. As I walked along, loving my visit from my friend, Aselia, I found that there was some masked tension in the air, and after joining what I believed to be Princess Twilight Sparkles' haunted house, I learned the horrifying truth, I was right. The Changelings had invaded the city of Ponyville, capturing many of it's citizens and parading around as them. They tricked us into doing horrible things, I was forced to partake in an illusion where my emotions would become sweets for the changelings to enjoy. I was forced to fight against my own friends, in order to live, and it took the power of many ponies, including my own will and wits, to survive. The scars will never heal, and I don't know when the nightmare's will stop, but I thank Celestia that my family, and I survived. If I had lost my brother or my sister...I fear to even think what I might do." -The diary of Time Spinner.
You know what nightmare night shows is that somehow we can all get together and roleplay in a happy and joyful setting with no violence at all, and then the roleplay team can show up, take that happiness, beat it with sticks, and throw it off a cliff. Then they give us changelings and tell us to have fun. Which I did, by the way. Nightmare Night, at least to me, was a success and I loved every minute of it. There are things that could use a bit of tweaking here or there but perfect is over rated and I think the problems it does have are charming. Events like these are the reason I want to be on the event staff, it looked like so much fun to make and sponsor.
So we'll start with the good, because it's the longest.
Having a story like this, that affect threads all around is probably my favorite here. The fact that changelings drop upon us and causes the entire focus of the roleplay to change is very nice. I think it helps to the story that none of us knew so it was easier to convey feelings of surprise this way. However I do know that some users wished they could have used a notice that this was going to happen and that's fine. Maybe it would have helped to give a bit of notice. I for one think that the surprise was very nice, I loved not getting to know about this.
The combat in the threads were very good to me. Not only did I like the way my characters fought back, but they were well written and it seemed like my characters could really work in there situations. I want to give an example just for show.
Time Spinner was in Twilight's Terror Time. There we were put under an illusion to fight each other and feed the changeling with our emotions. Many characters went ahead with this, but Time Spinner didn't. See, Time is a thinker, he's not strong, he's not magically gifted, and he's not sneaky. This thread allowed the revised Time Spinner to do a lot of good. Since Time Spinner is a historian, he has to know as much as he can about everything. Luckily he knows about magic. Right when tentacles started to attack him, he learned that this was an illusion and he was able to fight back, not with strength but with intelligence. Eventually he even gave up on everything and started meditating to stop feeding the changeling because he didn't want to feed her anymore.
It's things like these that really make characters I use to feel useful throughout the whole rp. However there were problems with Combat, and I'm going to explain those later.
Now something that is similar to the story but I still loved is the connection. We were all connected due to the fact that we were in ponyville and that was interesting. Something that I wanted to see, that I hope perhaps the event staff will look into is the crossroads effect. For an example we're going to use obstacle course and terror time. So let's say in Obstacle course the cave took us down below ponyville and as we kept going we find ourselves directly under Twilight's house. Since the ponies are in Twilight's basement the two groups are very close but they don't ever cross each other's paths. Instead something that one does could cause something else to happen in the other. For example one of the ponies in the cave screams because they get scared. The scream gets loud enough that even the ponies upstairs hear it and because of this they each think they hear someone in their nightmare, so they have to react to it. This would cause interesting changes to the RP, so I think it might be a good suggestion.
I loved how each thread was similar and yet different. The changelings did things that were similar to what the mane six would do, but they still acted out a bit, this made somethings noticeably different that anyone who has met the mane 6 before would think is odd. The only one who I think didn't act strange was rainbow dash. Minus the changeling cavern there was nothing that seemed different about her and I almost thought that when the changelings hit, Dashie would help us fight them off. Twilight was different since she threw us into the nightmare. Fluttershy acted different, not only with participating in Nightmare Night but also because she acted odd towards the cage of "Animals." Rarity gave some pretty odd remarks during the fashion show, and Applejack seemed really weird during her hayride. The only ones who seemed normal for their characters were Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow dash, but I didn't read all of Pinkie Pie's thread (Sorry Rosie.) so I don't know if she did act strange. (For her anyway.)
The costumes for each character were pretty cool, and seemed to match their personality, this includes OC's. However some didn't match them on purpose and that did add to the charm of the event.
I also enjoyed the crossing of Canterlot Chronicles and World of Equestria. Especially since Aselia was a really good character to play in this situation. I certainly enjoyed this version of the cross between RP types then the last one. I would love to see more of this.
I could go on but due to the sake of this post, I'm just going to move on to some of the bads, but I only find two
I am well aware that there was an OP problem that occurred. Now this can be a problem. I have seen countless times on all three of my roleplay sites. Now the only thing we can actually do to fix it is tell the person god-modding that they are doing that. Its helped with me, and its helped with others I've seen. A way to help prevent it is by writing down a set of skills that they can use, that goes along with their lore. However this can be a bit of a problem because sometimes you don't know if a power is too powerful. I'm getting side-tracked though. Combat could use an improvement and in fact a few ideas crossed my mind, such as using a dice roller. However most of my ideas were either too difficult to use, weren't possible, or were too complicated for me, and I don't want to suggest something I don't know how to use.
I also found a problem with combat. Now we're going to use my four characters that really did things in the event, those being Time Spinner, Aselia, Octavia, and Gadget.
The girls were the easy ones:
Aselia was built with combat in mind, and because of this she didn't have that much difficulty to do battle. So she was already done.
Octavia's costume was a book that was basically a ponified version of assassin's creed, so most of her weapons were bows and her own hooves. Though she didn't get into much combat.
    Then there were the guys:
Time Spinner was easy, because he wasn't really in combat. He was placed in an illusion where all he had to was get slapped with a fish. (By the way, that needs to be a thing from now on.)
Gadget was the one with the most difficulty, his wing was injured during the RP so he couldn't do anything with flight, he wasn't a unicorn so he could use magic, and he wasn't really a strength character. In his Canterlot Chronicles app he will be using his gadgets as weapons, but for this RP I found it to be a bit of rubbish for him to do that. (Huh, never used a British word before.) Most of his combat in the RP was moving things, including a knocked out Flash Sentry, a crowbar, and a cage.
Now maybe others found other problems but this review is from my experiences and I didn't find many problems in my adventures. (Well none from others, I probably caused a bunch of problems at the start with my two characters in a thread a first and my misreading of some of the other posts.)
So then, we come down with tons of really good things in this event and a few bad. Now like I said, I really like Nightmare Night, it was fun, creative, interesting, and very nicely done. I made me want to be on the event team and I tip my hat to you all. (Whoever you all are.) Now then, it needs a bit of work, but its far from being bad, really far off. So now, with everything that I can come up with, with all of my experiences laid on the table, and almost all of the roleplays finished, I give the Canterlot event: Nightmare Night 2013, my reviewer rating of 9/10. I can't wait to see more from you guys. This has been Neo Reviews, thanks for reading.

So now that I've played with the pony generator let's get to this review. By the way I won't be giving this a score since it's an incomplete product.
    The Good:
We got Head Turning which is really awesome! I love to look at Time's head when he's staring at me awkwardly.
We got brand new Mane and Tails! However that's gonna get veto'ed in the bad section.
We got neckwear back and that's awesome because Bow-tie Time is Best Time.
We got more accessories for almost everything I can notice.
We got new hats, which i fine and all but I don't normally...WHAT! Time can have a fedora now? What!
I like the art style here. It seems different then the style in Version 2 but I can't really describe how.
The color selection has been made a whole lot easier now that we pick swatches.

However with good there is always bad and this is no exception, though it is an incomplete project so...
    The Bad:
Cutie marks can't be added through the generator anymore. Though if you have a clear view of the flank you shouldn't have any trouble adding it yourself.
Many of the Mane's and Tail's such as copyrighted ones, were taken out.
Clothes are no longer around and that makes me sad. I was just getting used to clothes making in Version 2.
Sometimes when moving down a wheel, it will stop when it shouldn't. I only got this thrice but still it's annoying.

Overall I like Version 3 of Pony Generator. It's really fun and has a bunch of new stuff for me to add to my characters. Is it better than version 2? Well...kind of...for someone who can add cutie marks easily with a clear view, I can live with it and if your making a foul with no cutie mark, use this one! If not, then it' up to you, might want to use version 2.

Warning may have spoiler if you haven't watched the episode!
Puns! Puns everywhere! There to you left! There to you right! Holy horseapple! I should quit horsing around! Suddenly celestia! Okay let's start the review.
    Alright, fall weather friends is an episode that I forgot was so good! It's one of the few episodes that made me think "I love this show!" the night I turned into a Brony. Let's break it down for you;
The story goes like this, Applejack and Rainbow dash are having a horse shoe throwing competition and they're just having a grand old time. The two have a bit of a conversation about it and they go into an iron pony competition that goes up, then spirals down. The rest well...it gets a bit RACEY afterwards. Ha, ha, ha...okay back to the review.
The animation of the episode is petty top notch, with all the things that get shown off when Rainbow dashes, from place to place or when the leaves fall. It's pretty nice and I haven't seen be this good since Episode 1+2!
The characters stay true to themselves and are just a blast to watch. They make it so much more interesting and Twilight's little bits are always great. I love some of the banter between Pinkie Pie and Spike, it always makes me chuckle.
The story is simple and sometimes it's kind of lacking. We pretty much just skip to the events whenever Someone finishes the last one and this isn't something I like but I won't count it off for it. Still it was something I could see happening between these two characters.
The voice acting of Ashleigh Ball was superb. I loved the quality of it and it out shined almost all of aspects of the episode.
The lines for the characters were decent. It was good, better then Ticket Master, but there wasn't anything too outstanding of it, so I can't really mention anything that FELL into the WEATHER of my FRIENDS liking. See what I did there...I'm so Punny! Anyway the puns in there were actually what made this episode feel interesting.
Anyways this is a very good episode for season 1 and it's one that, while other are better, always makes me smile and feel better about myself. It's really good and I love it...though it falls into the top 45% for me. I give this episode my exluckiest rating of an B and I give it a highlight of Season 1! It's good for it's time but if you were to put it against episodes like suited for success or Sweet and Elite, or even Lesson Zero and Magic duel, it would fall a little flat. This has been Neo Reviews, thanks for reading!
