Dramatic Flaire walked down the path. He was on his way to join Stage Lights and Thunderhoof to watch the ponies compete. He'd been sleeping in cause he had one too many late nights, lately. His stomach grumbled, and he wondered if there were any concessions at this event. He had a hankering for apples something fierce. He'd been thinking about it not more than a few seconds when he heard some chatter accompanied by the smell of the sweetest apples that had ever graced his nose, and caramel, to boot! Although, he didn't want to leave his friends hanging at the event. Just then, his stomach decided to chime in"Okay, fine." he surrendered.

He followed his nose to the source of the smell, and saw a lovely little booth for "Apple Ring Toss" occupied by a large red stallion, not as large as Thunderhoof, but quite respectable, to be sure. The stallion was finishing setting up the booth with an orange filly, who Flaire could tell from all the way over here was a Manehattanite, when a little yellow filly joined them. As he drew closer, he caught what the Manehattan filly said. "That little filly competed in the obstacle course?" he thought to himself. He found himself fairly impressed with her spirit. He came up to the booth soon after the conversation had finished, and he saw them. The most delicious looking candy apples he'd ever laid eyes on. His mouth watered slightly before he gathered himself.

"Hello, everypony." he greeted cheerfully "Those are some delightfully scrumptious looking candy apples you've got there! I'm assuming they are involved in this 'Apple Ring Toss' game you're advertising? I would be happy to try my hoof at it. How does one play?"

  2. ((Side Note: He does speak French to himself a lot. Mostly for phrases that you don't necessarily need to know. For any interested in translations, I will be including them as an aside at the end))

As Thunderhoof returned to Stage, he looked happy. "Somepony is in a good mood."  Stage commented "Did you have fun?"

Hoof pointed excitedly at the barrel wall. "Yes, I certainly did see that." Stage acknowledged "You figured it out all on your own. I told you you would, no? When have I been wrong about anypony's potential?"  He winked. He laughed and hoof-bumped Thunderhoof as he walked by "The way you powered through that mud pit was nothing short of awe-inspiring, my friend. You are really something else."  Hoof waved his hoof dismissingly and then gestured to the pies "Yes,"  Stage Lights started "There was that one mishap. An accident, clean and simple. I'm sure the judge ponies will give you some slack for it, don't worry." He comforted "Besides, what is important is that we are having fun, no?"  Hoof smiled and nodded.

Then he got a look in his eye.

"What? Have I said something silly, again? I know my ponish is not always the best, but I thou-" Hoof shook his head then pointed at Stage Lights. "Is my mane undone?" He checked his curls. He shook his head again, pointed at Stage, then the obstacle course.

Realization hit Stage and he remembered "Oh." he said, wide eyed "Yes. Right. I did make you a promise, did I not." He looked at the mud pit and shuddered in horror.

"For you, Hoof, I shall wade through the filth. You have show me strength of character, and I do not let it go unnotice. I make you a promise, and I will do it." He gave a bow and headed off to the registration table almost tripping over a random piece of armor somepony had left lying on the ground.

"Put me on your list as 'Stage Lights' s'il vous plaît." he requested of the pony at the registration table. Then he interjected "Um.... would it, mayhaps, be too much to ask if I could cast a teeny tiny spell to keep my freshly washed mane, tail and coat clean?"

The pony shook his head "Sorry, sir, I'm afraid no magic is allowed. If you want to do the course, you'll have to get dirty."

"C'est naze!" he fumed. Then he breathed a long deep breath to calm himself "C'est la vie. It is all right. I will manage." he assured, more to himself than the other. The pony informed him he was next, and pointed him to the starting line.

Stage stood at the starting line, not exactly looking forward to the obstacle course. But he made a promise, and he'll be darned if he wasn't going to keep it. "Maybe next time I should keep my big mouth shut." he thought to himself. "Non, I cannot allow a friend's potential to go unseen. If he learned about himself, it will all be worth it." he breathed and prepared himself, saying quietly "Allez, je me jette à l'eau.... ou la boue."

At his signal, he trotted up to the first obstacle, braced himself with an "Allons-y" and jumped in the mud.

Unfortunately, jumping wasn't the best course of action. He'd splashed the muck so that it covered his entire body. He coughed the stuff out of his throat and began to push forward. He wasn't sure, earlier, about how difficult it would be, but now, he was painfully aware. He slowly pressed forward, straining against the thick sludge. Certainly not an activity he was familiar with. He wondered if there was some trick to make it easier. He tried picking up his hooves higher to make less traction against the mud. That seemed to help a little, as he began to move slightly faster. After a time that seemed an eternity later, he finally reached the end, and pulled himself out.

He stood and took a moment to catch his breath. He shook as much of the mud as he could off, "I will have to have a wash, later..." he mused to himself.

Then he began trotting faster toward the barrel wall. He should do fairly ok on this one. He sort of hopped up barrel to barrel until he made it to the top. The barrel wobbled slightly under his momentum, but it was quickly righted. Then he hopped back down. He looked back, thinking he did rather well considering he'd never done this before.

He turned to the next task. The long stretch of running track. He didn't do much physical activity, so he wasn't the fittest or the fastest, but he could run if he needed to. He decided he'd imagine being chased by something frightening to give himself a bit of a boost. He began to gallop wildly toward the next obstacle. Not the fastest, or even impressive, by any means, but a respectable effort.

He made it to the final obstacle, and smiled at the pies. He knew he'd do well on this one. He prided himself on his poise and sense of balance. He quickly placed the pies on his back, and trotted swiftly around the poles, the pies moving only the slightest amount as he continued. When he finished, he placed them gently on the table, and quickly trotted toward his friend who'd been unable to stop laughing since he'd plunged into the mud.

Stage attempted to maintain an air of dignity as he tried to pull the mud out of his mane with his magic. He put a hoof on his curls and held back a whimper. He'll have to take several baths to get all this muck out, and those curls don't come easy.

    ((Translations:

    s'il vous plaît = Please

    c'est naze = that's stupid

c'est la vie = that's life (oh well, not much I can do about that)

allez, je ma jette à l'eau = I throw myself in the water (it's a phrase that essentially means something like "what have I got to lose?") Then he jokes that's its not water, but mud. "ou la boue" means "or the mud"

    Allons-y = Let's go!))

  3. *Post submitted for judging*

Stage Lights stood with Thunderhoof watching the other ponies compete. "I'll bet you do great on that one, Hoof."  Stage suggested watching somepony trudging through the mud.

Thunderhoof frowned and pointed at the barrels. "I am sure you could figure that out. You are a lot smarter than you give yourself credit, Hoof. Just try it, okay?"

Thunderhoof gave a  heavy sigh and looked worriedly at Stage.

"Let us make a deal." Stage offered "If you compete and do your very best, I shall do the same."

Hoof laughed, soundlessly, at the thought of Stage Lights going through an obstacle course. Especially with mud. He held up a hoof. "That's the spirit!" Stage laughed and hoof bumped him. "I'll wait here, you show me how it is done, yes?" Hoof nodded and laughed again at the image in his mind of Stage trying to wade through the mud while keeping as dry as possible.

Thunderhoof sort of half walked half stomped up to the starting line, making the ground shake with each step. He tried to look intimidating and tough, which wasn't that hard for him, given his stature and the large scar on his neck. Tho it was unnatural. He stared down the mud with determination as he waited for the flag, flaring his nostrils noisily.

When the flag waved, Thunderhoof stood there for a moment, still glowering at the mud pit, seemingly unaware he'd been signaled to start. The flag pony waved the flag again, and this time Hoof noticed and began barreling down the track. His big long legs made the journey in no time flat before he splashed into the mud. Not slowing down, he ran through the mud like it wasn't even there, his thick tree trunk legs powering through the slop with impunity. It didn't hurt that he was so big, the mud barely went over his belly. He quickly made his way to the other end without issue. "Just like any Tuesday afternoon pulling the caravan." he thought to himself, proud of his physical prowess.

After making short work of the mud pit, he felt a sense of pride like he could do anything. He devoured the distance between himself and the second obstacle ready for whatever it could throw at him. Then he stopped. It was the wall of barrels. He looked up to the top. He didn't like heights. He thought very briefly about simply knocking over the wall with his brute strength. He could probably do it easily enough, but he decided against it. Stage hated it when he broke things. He lifted a hoof up and placed it on a barrel "I guess I have to...." he mused silently to himself.

The barrels were easy enough for him to climb. They were practically like stairs to him. But this stack was unstable, and the barrels seemed like they weren't equipped to handle his weight. He put his weight on his hoof and put another hoof up on the next barrel. "so far so good." he thought. He brought his hind hoof up and placed it on a barrel, which immediately imploded under his weight. Thunderhoof panicked and scrambled to find footing. His hoof landed so that it was sitting on the walls of two barrels side by side. That seemed to work. It held his weight fine. He smiled and began to climb a bit faster. Still shaking from the height. He reached the top and slowly turned around to climb back down backward. When he finally had all four hooves on solid ground, he breathed in relief. A moment later, he realised he wasn't done yet.

In a sudden burst of energy he sprinted thunderously down the straightaway closing the distance with ease with his long gait. When he arrived at the final obstacle, he smiled. Many ponies assumed that because he was big, he must be clumsy. Or at least not very nimble. Au Contraire, my good friends, for he'd been taught, by fellow traveller Madame Cue one of the actors of Tour d'Equestria, "Proper Posture"  or whatever she called it. As far as Hoof's concerned it was "How to balance more things on my back so I can be more helpful" In any case, he knew the key was to go slower than he wants to. He picked up the pies in his hoof and carefully placed them on his back. Then he walked carefully with his head held high looking rather posh, if you ask him. But really just kind of ridiculous. Slightly faster than a walk, but slower than a trot. The pies wobbled slightly as he walked, and he thought "I've got this" and as he neared the finish line, he began to speed up a little. The pies wobbled more precariously, but he didn't notice, he was focused on the goal. He crossed the finish line, and stood on his hind legs giving a silent celebratory "WHOO!" type motion. Before he turned around and saw every pie on the ground. He physically quieted down. Looked at Stage and pointed sadly at the pies then the finish line.

Stage, who'd been laughing at the display, cleared his throat and said "He wants to know if still counts since he crossed the finish line first." Hoof gave him an "And?" look "And he's sorry he smashed your pies."

  4. Cup Cake

    (Mrs. Cake)

    f84ce6480b4e519e4cc543da88983332.jpg

    Roleplay Type: WoE

Name: Cup Cake (goes by "Mrs. Cake")

    Sex: Mare

    Age: Middle-Aged Mare

    Species: Earth pony

    Eye color: Pink

    Coat: Baby blue

Mane/Tail: reddish pink, looks like whipped cream.

Physique: A little more to love

    Residence: Sugar Cube Corner, Ponyville

    Occupation: Baker

Cutie Mark: Three pink, cherry-topped cupcakes

Unique Traits: Mrs. Cake has an uncanny ability to remain cheerful in the most dire of circumstances. She can get nervous, but is always found with a smile on her face. One of the easiest ponies to get along with, she is never without a friend. Which, of course, is not exactly bad for business.

History: Cup Cake wasn't always her name. She was born to the name Chiffon Swirl. As a filly, Chiffon was brought up to be a very polite, gentle and caring young mare. She often would surprise ponies with her maturity at a young age. But also, at times, with her spontaneity. Mostly, the later was heavily influenced by her closest friend, Pear Butter. The two were inseparable as fillies. They had all sorts of crazy fun adventures together, and they would tell each other everything. One day, her friend ended up marrying a stallion from her family's rival. An Apple. After being rejected by her family, Pear Butter and Chiffon Swirl became closer friends than ever. Soon, Chiffon met a new Stallion who she grew close to. His name was Carrot Cake. This stallion was a little awkward and quirky, but he had a certain charm she simply could not ignore. However, sadly, it couldn't all be sunshine and rainbows forever. It came to a sudden and tragic halt when Pear Butter (who'd adopted the name Buttercup) and her husband Bright Mac tragically passed away. Chiffon was devastated. The only thing that kept her afloat during this difficult time was her coltfriend Carrot Cake. He was strong for her when she couldn't be. It was this loyalty that finally brought them so close there was only one way to go. Chiffon Swirl married Carrot Cake, changing her name to Cup Cake.

Years later, they met an enthusiastic pink filly who reminded Mrs. Cake, in some ways, of her late friend Buttercup. She may have been an exaggeration of her spontaneity, but something about this filly just made her happy. When she heard she was looking for a new place to say, she couldn't resist offering her a live in job at her bakery. Years more passed, and she and her husband became the proud new parents of twins! Pound and Pumpkin Cake. Something different about them, even tho both their parents were earth ponies, they were not. Pound was a Pegasus with a proclivity to smashing thing things with his hooves, and Pumpkin was a unicorn who just liked putting everything in her mouth. Together they often got into mischief, making caring for them difficult, but nothing her husband and her couldn't handle together. Despite the challenges in her life, Cup Cake felt like she was truly blessed to have the ponies she did in her life. She was always grateful for her many friends, and most especially her family.

Character Personality: Outgoing, positive and genuinely caring. The motherly type. She always looks to find the good in others, and tries to make ponies happy.

Character Summary: Cup Cake used to go by Chiffon Swirl, but changed her name when she was married to Carrot Cake. She's a generally happy mare. Friendly and caring almost to a fault. She has twin foals who are a hooffull, and a sort of surrogate daughter/employee named Pinkie Pie who lives with her, always keeping her on her toes.

  5. Hey, since it is neither confirmed not denied in the show, and it seems relevant to or rp, I'm curious about the way you've done your versions of the characters Rarity and Spike.

Is Rarity aware of the extent of Spike's feelings, and how does she feel about it.

Just curious. Answer or not at your discretion. ^v^

PS. I've added a link to this discussion in the main post of the rp for convenience. and vice versa.

  6. //oh, my gosh. I completely forgot about the offer. I feel stupid lol//

"Ha ha! Yeah, thanks. We have of course our actors," he began explaining "Stage Lights who is a phenomenal manager and organizer, Thunderhoof is incredibly strong, and he does a really spectacular job making props and sets. Spring Breeze is the artist, everypony has a second job they perform. Most of us, it's our special talent that we contribute. Although, mine is acting, so it's different for me. I mostly do public relations. Spreading the word and getting ponies interested."

He also looked at the sun and frowned "The day sure gets away from you when you're talking with friends, huh Rarity?" Then he quickly amended, feeling like he'd been presumptuous "That is, I hope you would consider us friends? Yeah, I really ought to get going on my list, if you could point me to the close....est...." he, too, noticed Spike coming up and at first was intrigued at the notion of meeting a dragon for the first time, but the mention of his name as well as seeing him come closer into view changed his perspective "Spike? A pleasure to meet you!" he greeted "If I'm not mistaken, you're Princess Twilight's faithful assistant, and also the first Dragon to make friends with ponies! What a real treat it is to see you!"  He smiled warmly at the Dragon "In fact, I seem to remember a rather large statue when I visited the Crystal Empire."  He gave him a wink "And" he added "How can I not know the Dragon who shingle-hoo-... clawed-ly spearheaded the change in Equestria's opinion on changelings? It's because of you, Spike, that I don't have to hide, anymore." His coat, mane and eyes soundnessly faded through several colors, before returning to normal, then he bowed to spike "It is with great pleasure that I can finally offer my sincerest thanks. I am eternally grateful for the service you have done me, and those others like me, Spike. You are truly a hero. Glorious and brave."  He winked at the reference to the Crystal Empire's title for him.

Then Flaire remembered suddenly "Oh, my! I'm terribly sorry, Spike! You came for a reason. Um, perhaps we can talk while we walk to the nearest printing press?"

  7. Here's a list of my OCs. Just the ones I've apped or am in the process of getting apped. I have many OCs I might add in the future.

If you're interested to know more about any of my characters, or if you want to rp with or invite one of my OCs to play, feel free to PM me. I'll be happy to answer questions, consider invites, or just chat about OCs. I don't bite, promise. ;)

  8. "Oh, I'm not upset. The books in the library are there for everpony to enjoy. I actually read it before. A great read. This time, however, I needed it for a reference. I was waiting them to receive a second copy so I could own one. I may be good at the stars, but without my copious notes and extensive library on hoof.... Well, let's just say, I'd forget my head if it weren't screwed on tight." he chuckled "And besides, I always prefer to be exactly right on my research with not a dot on the i or cross on the t missing. Better to have the reference handy, if you know what I mean." he winked

Stellar seemed genuinely very interested in the twins' descriptions of their abilities. He hung on every word and nodded in understanding.

"Now, if that isn't the most fantastic thing I've heard!" he exclaimed excitedly then stepped over himself trying to not be rude "I mean... not the 'not being able talk' bit, but you've learned to use telepathy either passively or near passively. And it's almost as natural as talking! It's really quite extraordinary!" he laughed at the last remark in agreement "Yes, magic certainly does have a way defying our expectations and throwing us for loop. I've been dedicating my research, lately, to just such a phenomena, in fact, and I may be on the verge of a breakthrough." he held up the book to signify he meant the research he needed it for.

He chuckled and waved his hoof dismissingly "But I'm sure stars aren't exactly what you'd call the most engaging subject. I just find them fascinating. What is your area if interest, anyway? You mentioned studying in Canterlot, so it's got to be something cerebral. Hang on, I might guess. Your cutie mark is two stitched hearts, so my first guess is relationship counseling, but yours is.... oh, it's on the tip of my tongue.... I don't know, I recognize it's ancient unicornian, but I'm at a loss- wait!" he pulled out his book, thumbed through it a moment and pointed, more for himself than anything "Yes! The constellation Psi! So named for the ancient unicornian symbol, for psychology, it resembles! Not a constellation many ponies remember. It should be visible tonight, if I'm not mistaken." he paused and chuckled uncomfortably "I am so sorry, I'm talking your ears off. I just get a little easily excited.... I don't get out much." he smiled awkwardly

  9. Flaire's face lit up when Rarity expressed her interest in his theatre. He didn't expect she'd actually heard of them. Stage Lights would be so happy to hear that a pony of her stature was familiar with his work. Flaire made a mental note to tell him about it later.

"Stage Lights would certainly be happy to hear of your enthusiasm." Flaire explained "Nothing makes him happier than to see that his work has made somepony else happy. Not least of which somepony of your social standing." he offered a wink.

The show bill was certainly among his considerations and a very important to do. If nopony knew the theatre was here, nopony would see them perform. He had a mock up drawn by one of the actors that he'd planned on bringing to a copy shop. "We have our own resident artist who produces a new poster to pass about for each town we visit." He produced it now from his saddlebag, and showed it to Rarity."She wouldn't be able to draw enough to distribute to the masses, but I was hoping there was a printing press who could make that job easier?"

The large poster depicted a crew of ponies posing in front of a very large stage on wheels. One of the ponies appeared to be Flaire, the one front and center, likely Stage Lights, a unicorn sporting a microphone and a hat that seemed made for tipping.

    It said in large letters.

"Performing next week, here in Ponyville. Please welcome the Tour d'Equestria Touring Theatre!"

     then subtitled with

"Please enjoy our performances as a courtesy to the community. Donations are not prerequisite, but appreciated."

"So what d'you think? He doesn't actually wear a hat. That was just freestyle." He smiled expectantly.

  10. Stellar found himself perplexed but intrigued at the mares' behaviors. He'd chuckle, but that would be rude. Then he thought he noticed something that gave him pause. He decided he'd be sure before he said anything.

He smiled when Tranquility mentioned his book. He was very excited to continue his research with it."Oh, um yes. It does." He gestured to his cutie mark which is the pegasus constellation in front of a crescent moon "I'm an astronomer. I've been doing some research on the magical effects of interactions of stars and the moon and the implications and applications it could have for us in Equestria. It's really quite riveting stuff.... I-I mean.... yeah."  He chuckled awkwardly. He hadn't gotten into the whole social thing, but he was pretty sure being nerdy was a one way ticket to being avoided by most ponies.

Then he thought actually, these ponies seem pretty quirky themselves, so he might be relatively safe there.

Then the thought came up again. "Hey, uh. At the risk of being completely nuts, a-are you guys.... telepathic?"  He scrambled to explain himself "I-i mean, your mouths don't move when you talk, and your voices seemed a bit strange, not that that's a bad thing, but with that and the mouths not moving, and I probably sound like an idiot, but..... I'm right, right?"

  12. So, I realize this one is a long read, and it's pretty go***mn dark. Prolly the darkest backstory I ever wrote, tbh. If that's too much, I can try to work on it, and see what I can do.

Trust me, tho. He's not a sad or dark character. He had a sad past, but he's move passed that and is a generally happy character.

  13. Thunderhoof

    Thunderhoof.png

    Roleplay Type: WoE
    Name: Thunderhoof
    Sex: Stallion
    Age: Adult
    Species: Earth Pony
    Eye colour: Green
    Coat: Dark teal
Mane/Tail: Slightly bluer than his coat. mouthing but a few hairs on his head, and a short short tail.
Physique: Huge, muscular. Like twice as big as most other ponies.
Residence: Nomadic currently stopped in Ponyville. (Tour d'Equestria)
Occupation: The muscle and props director.
Cutie Mark: A lightning bolt with a hammer in front of it. He built a raft. It was very well constructed. but it was soon destroyed.
Unique Traits: Thunderhoof (who often goes by just Hoof) is mute. He had a severe injury when he was a colt that irreparably damaged his vocal chords. He's also not the sharpest tool in the shed. Skilled with his hooves, and stronger than ten ponies, but not very clever. probably a 3 out of 10. Although, He was taught by Stage Lights to communicate some basic thoughts by scraping patterns in the ground with his hooves.
History: Thunderhoof was an orphan for as long as he can remember. When he was a colt, he wa wandering in the woods and looking about, smacking things with a stick. He tossed the stick in the water and it floated down the river. Then, he got the "bright" idea to make a raft and float down the river.... not that he gave any thought as to where the river went.

He went to work. He found logs and vines and things, and he quickly crafted a really sturdy raft. It was really quite marvelous. Then he pushed the raft into the river, and jumped on. "Anchors aweigh!" he yelled, excited that his creation was working so well. He got his cutie mark right then and there. He jumped for joy, whooping and hollering, not noticing he was headed for some rocky rapids.

His raft was tossed about. Slammed into rock after rock. Holding together because of how well crafted it was. However, Hoof was not secure. He was thrown this way and that, He had no idea what he could do. He was thrown off the raft, into the water. He screamed into the air, wishing for rescue. The rapids were fast, and littered with sharp rocks, and downed trees. Somewhere in the hullabaloo, his neck was gouged open, severing his vocal chords, and he began to lose blood. He passed out just as the water calmed down.

A unicorn, who'd been traveling, was sitting by the water to rest. He heard screaming in the distance, interrupted by sudden silence. moments later, he saw the unconscious body of a colt floating in front of him. He picked him out of the river with his magic and worked as quickly as he could. He stopped the bleeding and stabilized him. Saving his life. When he awoke, he was permanently silenced. Stage nursed him to health, and taught him to use his hooves to communicate.
Character Personality: Gentle giant who tries to be helpful. Dedicated to Stage Lights.
Character Summary: Thunderhoof is a gentle giant, stronger than ten ponies, and good with his hooves. but not very bright. He can't talk because lost his voice in an injury, but he learned to communicate some very basic things by scraping patterns in the ground with his hooves. Owes a life debt to Stage Lights who he trusts implicitly withit reserve.

  14. Stage Lights

    2733954.png

    Roleplay Type: WoE
    Name: Stage Lights
    Sex: Stallion
    Age: Middle aged adult
    Species: Unicorn
    Eye colour: Indigo
    Coat: Light blue
    Mane/Tail: Pink
    Physique: slim
Residence: Nomadic, currently stopped in Ponyville (Tour d'Equestria)
Occupation: Director and manager of the "Tour d'Equestria" Touring Theatre
Cutie Mark: A pink star with searchlights in front of it. He got his cutie mark when his mother helped him direct his first play.
Unique Traits: Stage's primary language is French, tho he speaks fluent English, and has only a mild accent. He also has a unique skill of saying the potential in others that they may not even see themselves. And a rare gift to bring that potential to the surface.
History: Stage Lights was born and raised in Calnais, Prance, on the outskirts of Equestria. His mother ran (and still runs, in her old age) a theatre there called Le Poney Cabré. When he was a colt, Stage would aspire to one day take over the family theatre. He'd always expressed an interest in directing his own plays, so when his mother finally showed him the ropes, he was overjoyed. She helped him direct a play, and wouldn't you know it, he got his cutie mark amidst a standing ovation. After helping his mother with the managerial tasks (which she loathed) at Le Poney Cabré for a  several years, and getting very good at it, he began to feel discontent with the secluded outskirt town of Calnais. He decided he'd learn English and travel Equestria. After learning the language well enough, he was set to go. His mother had one last thing to give him. She showed him tucked away in a shed amongst family memorabilia, was a huge caravan. The thing had to be at least three times as tall as he was. She explained that it belonged to his great grandfather who also felt cramped in his home town. He had taken his theatre with him, dubbing it The "Tour d'Equestria". She gifted him the Caravan to aid in his own search for happiness across Equestria. He loves his traveling theatre almost more than life itself. In his travels, he has met many ponies, seen many sights and even gathered a few friends who now travel with him across the continent to bring art and entertainment to the masses.
Character Personality: Loud and showy, Stage is not afraid to tell you exactly what he thinks. He can sometimes come off as angry or mean when he's instructing, but his friends have learned that his instruction methods are just his way of showing he cares. Outside the directing space, he is a gentle stallion who speaks kindly and offers understanding to those who need it. He believes firmly in equality for all creatures. That all different kinds of creatures can get along.
Character Summary: Stage Lights is a very passionate director who has dedicated his life to the theatre. He lives and breathes theatre. He cares deeply, and believes that all creatures have potential. He always sees their potential, not just where they're at.and he brings that potential to the surface.

  15. "O-oh, um. Thank you." He said as he grabbed the spectacles, and plastered them on his face. He blinked for a moment "Sometimes, I wish I didn't need these confounded things." He complained "Where's my book?" he panicked he looked about for a second before sighing in relief. He picked up the book and hugged it for a moment, but hen he blushed, embarrassed at the no doubt strange way he revered his book "I, uh... waited moths for this to be ordered. I'd hate to lose it." He started to leave, but then remembered his desire to start socializing.

"If this isn't the stars aligning" he thought "to give me an excuse to talk to somepony, then it'll never happen." he reasoned to himself. He breathed in to gather his courage and stuck out a hoof in greeting, speaking almost robotically "Hi. My name is Stellar Drift. It is nice to meet you." he flustered and spoke more naturally "Sorry about the mess, and thanks for helping me."

  16. Flaire gasped. He'd of course heard of Rarity. The great up-and-coming fashion designer making quite a name for herself in Equestria. He was so tired, he didn't recognize her at first. "The Rarity? You're the genius behind Canterlot Carousel? I can't believe I didn't recognize you!" He shook her hoof "It is a pleasure to finally meet you in the flesh! We must talk wardrobe once my to-dos have been done." he looked at the sky, seeing it was getting later "Or perhaps tomorrow, actually." He chuckled.

"As for what brings me here," he explained "my friends and I are actually here on tour. It's not entirely unlikely to have heard of us, we do get around." he took a pose and cleared his throat to proudly announce his affiliation "We belong to the great Stage Lights' 'Tour d'Equestria' Touring Theatre" he resumed casual stance "We need some supplies. It's been long week, walking here from Fet Loch. Our director has been excited for some time to put on a performance or two in the hometown of the Princess of Friendship." then he remembered his other duty to spread the news that a new theatre was in town to perform for the public "Oh! She's your friend, right? If you could let all your friends know that we're here, we'd be honored to perform for you all. You might like the story we have to tell." he winked

"And don't forget. the best part is we perform as a donation to the public. Everypony is free to attend with or without any donations to our cause."

Stellar adjusted the eyepiece of his telescope, looking carefully at the same constellation he'd been examining for the past several hours. Then he picked up a pencil in his mouth and wrote some notes. He looked at the moon for a moment. "Interesting" he mused "I may need to research this more." He wrote a little more.

He put down his pencil and flew inside to look through his library. "I've gotta have it here, somewhere..." he said to himself as he looked though his books. He sighed "That's right." he remembered "They didn't have it in. Maybe they will, now." He flew down to his door and picked up a saddle bag.

Outside, he walked down the street toward the library, sort of avoiding ponies as much as he could, like he always did. When he got to the library, the Librarian was only just opening up the doors.

"Oh, hi, Stellar." she greeted "It's rather early, even for you. Celestia hasn't even raised the sun, yet. Are you here for that book, again? Was it 'The history of magic science: stars and celestial bodies'?" "You know me, always burning the midnight oil, so to speak." he chuckled "And yes. that's the one."

She motioned for him to follow, and walked on inside. Stellar followed as she walked to the counter.

"If I'm not mistaken, we just got that in, today." she reached under the desk and produced the book "Kept it here, just for you."

"Thanks, ma'am." Stellar grabbed the book "I'll see you soon."

"One last thing, Stellar?" She called "You really should get out more. Try talking with somepony, today."

Stellar chuckled "I'll try." he waved goodbye, and left the library.

The sun was just starting to peek over the horizon. He knew he wasn't getting any more star gazing done, so he took his time walking. He carried the book in his hoof, trying to read it while he walked. Then he stopped. "She's probably right." he thought "I really should start talking to ponies."

He stood for a bit, but then decided he didn't really know how to bring up a conversation and not just end up bugging somepony, so he continued walking "Maybe another day" he thought to himself.

Just then, his hoof hit an uneven patch of street, and he tumbled into the ground, his book and glasses falling to the pavement. "Oooh, why now?" he said aloud, as he started to search the ground with his hooves for his glasses.

  18. Flaire saw the unicorn just as he was about to run into her. He would have been unable to stop himself in time, but thankfully, she had noticed him in time, and stepped aside. Flaire skidded to a stop, narrowly avoiding embarrassingly falling on his face"Sweet Celestia!" He exclaimed "I am so sorry! I usually don't gallop blindly about the street." he chuckled, rubbing the back of his head "I nearly lost my list, and I really need that." He looked at the mare who he'd almost knocked over. She was holding his list with her magic. "Oh, Thank goodness!" He breathed "You caught it!" He righted himself, cleared his throat, and generally attempted to salvage what was left of his dignity. He reached out a hoof in greeting. "The name's Dramatic Flaire." he introduced "but everypony calls me Flaire." He smiled at her "What's your name, if I may be so bold?"
